Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 61-year-old female. I have been overweight for over 20 years and also dealing with other health issues. I started taking Mounjaro just a little over a year. I started with 5mg in the first week and lost 9lbs in one week, then I increased to 7mg and continued to lose weight. Long story short, I am now on 15mg and I have lost a total of 90lbs, from 339 to 247. This is unbelievable. I too have to make myself eat, like other reviews have stated. I feel so good. I have had 3 major back surgeries within the past 3 years. My A1C was never good, but now it's perfect. I used to walk hunched over, and now my posture is perfect. I want to lose 50lbs or more but I am happy with the state I'm in. However, I will be extremely happy to lose some more weight. I am a living testament that these injections work, just like the thousands of other reviews are saying. Where was this medication 20 years ago?"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just wanted to give an update on my success on Mounjaro. I've been on it for 18 months. I continue to lose weight slowly. No problem with the shot. I've lost a total of 118 pounds. I went from a size 22 to a size 2. I do Weight Watchers app online for the accountability. And walk 5-8 miles a day. My doctor thinks I should be her spokesperson in her office for the new patients going on it to give them the motivation. But can't with HIPAA. I'm okay with her giving them my name and everything but she can't. It's funny when I'm out in public and people are not sure if it's me or not. But it sure makes me feel good. I just know when people do ask how I've lost weight and I tell them. I say with diet, exercise, and I have diabetes. I also take Mounjaro but it's not a miracle drug."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 5'2", 41 years old, started taking the shot in November of 2023. Weighed in at 293, cried all the way home. Within a week lost 16 pounds. Here I am, almost a complete 4 months later, and down 72 pounds. Best thing I have ever done. No more snoring or waking up all hours of the night, and I have so much more energy. Yes, I have some constipation, but it is a small price to pay to feel so much better! Next month I will be on the highest dose. So, from here on out, it's up to me to keep it moving with healthy activity and diet."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication is incredible. My cholesterol and blood pressure were borderline. My doctor suggested losing weight (I have had a weight problem my entire life) which was an ongoing life pursuit for me. Nothing lasted. I would end up feeling worthless and depressed. I started this medication in January 2023. Today is April 25th and I have lost 36 pounds. My blood pressure is on its way down. My energy levels were stable throughout the day from week one so it is not just the weight loss, the medicine has helped with my ADHD and my depression. The only side effect I have experienced was constipation which I corrected by using small dosages of Miralax daily. I hope the FDA approves this medication for weight loss soon. It is a great tool to use along with healthy eating and exercise."

I am up to 10 mg dosage. Minimal side effects. It's a bit frustrating as I see others losing much more and much faster. It has helped but I still have a pretty hearty appetite. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication has been a huge blessing in my life. Started at the lowest dose in August of 2022. Increased each month to the highest dose and have stayed there for 3 months now. It's May of 2023, and I have lost 80 pounds!! I was pre-diabetic, depressed, and hopeless. I've had a bit of stomach upset, diarrhea, heartburn, gas...nothing terrible. But I feel so much better. My joints don't hurt hardly at all, I have more confidence to go places and talk to people and do stuff outside and I even sleep better. I was looking into bariatric surgery before I found Mounjaro. I'm so glad I didn't have to do that."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am just starting week 5. I started on 5mg, so today was my first 7.5. Last month, I lost exactly 20 pounds. I started at 222 and now I'm at 202 after 1 month. I get bad constipation, but nothing Dulcolax liquid can't fix. I drink 2 protein shakes a day, a handful of chicken, and some days I replace chicken with fruits and low-fat cottage cheese. I drink lots of water and have 1 coffee with only milk once a week. I can't wait until this time next month. It's definitely a game changer. I haven't been that active, but today I will start going to the gym 5 days a week. I will update next month."

I started Mounjaro last year in October. I didn't lose any weight for the first 2 months. I lost 5 lbs in the third month. Then I started losing more. I went from 175 to 115 by August. I never wake up at night and started having a problem making it to the bathroom to pee 3 times a week. I called my doctor and she lowered my Mounjaro dosage to 10 mg and I was fine. I stopped taking Mounjaro last month. Mounjaro makes you just not hungry. I learned to be picky about what I ate. I chose healthy food and feel lighter. I have learned to be healthy and thin. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I don’t have diabetes. I may have insulin resistance. I’m taking this for weight loss. BMI 48. Took first dose, a sample dose, five days ago. I didn’t even feel the needle. Within a day of the injection I started having pain in my low back, in the tailbone area, squeezing muscle pain when standing or walking. The pain goes away after a few minutes of sitting or lying down. (I had similar pain when taking Belviq. I don’t normally have back pain.) Also have some intermittent mild itching at wrists, ankles. I still think about food all the time but I’m not actually interested in eating it. Someone brought me a quarter pounder sandwich for supper. I had to cut it in half and then I shared my half with the cat. There’s cake in the refrigerator and I haven’t touched it. I’m hungriest in the mid-morning now and today had 1 low carb tortilla, one link turkey sausage, a slice of cheese, cilantro, and a bowl of watermelon."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Zepbound for about 3 months now and have lost 18 lbs. The experience has been mostly unpleasant. The gastric issues that accompany the medication are almost unbearable. The desire to eat did not go away, and I mostly did not eat because I was always so nauseated and experiencing acid reflux. Every day has been miserable. It did make you feel good but not in a satisfied way, just full like you ate way too much to the point of feeling sick. It feels great to have lost 18 lbs, but I will probably not continue the shots due to the gastric issues."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Mounjaro 2.5mg for 3 weeks now, and have lost a total of 22 lbs. When they say it kills the appetite, they aren't kidding! I struggle to get 800 calories a day, and most of the time, those are either from salad dressings or protein shakes. The side effects aren't horrible, just not fun either. The first 3 days after my shot, I've got constipation and no appetite at all, those are the days when I'll have a single 32 mg protein shake for the day - if I take in anything else, I feel like I've overeaten and get bloated and slightly nauseous - not worth it. Day 4 I start to feel really queasy and can't even stomach my shake. Day 5 comes the diarrhea, for the entire day. Day 5 and 6 I feel pretty good. I know it's a lot, but the symptoms haven't really caused me to do anything different - other than consumption of food. I live off of Gin-Gin chews (ginger chews) for the symptoms, and they are enough to keep everything at a low-grade annoyance."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I tried Ozempic for 9 weeks and thought I was going to die, so they switched me to Mounjaro. The 1st 2 weeks were okay, I just didn't have an appetite, but week 3 hit me just like ozempic did. Total exhaustion, I've lost 5 lbs in little over 3 days, I have side effects of sulphur burps, dehydrated, constant nausea, falling to sleep at all times, all night vomiting and diarrhea. I feel bruised from head to toe and blurred vision. I'm telling people this for a warning. Read the reviews. People are constantly going to the ER because of these medications. I'm flustered because I found something that worked for my diabetes, but it is really bad for me. Since starting Ozempic up to now I've lost almost 30lbs... might sound great but not when you can't function."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I know this med doesn't work for everyone and some people have some pretty horrific side effects. Luckily, I am one of those people who it DOES work for. In 4 months, went from A1C of 7.5 to 5.0. All of my other regular labs are in normal range. Going off atorvastatin (10mg for cholesterol) and lisinopril (10mg for high blood pressure) soon. Also, lost 45 lbs. Only side effect worth mentioning is constipation, but I think I finally have a handle on that (with magnesium supplement). Started on 2.5mg for 8 shots, 5.0mg the rest of the time. My biggest problem is supply issues. I have a prescription for 7.5mg but haven't been able to find any yet. Shortage is supposedly ending, so hopefully that will be resoved soon."

Only go up and stay at that dose as long as possible. Involve a nutritionist or dietitian to help you from the beginning understand how to approach food so you can get off the med. I'm barely eating anything and when I tried stopping, the appetite comes back ferociously. I am now considered anorexic and having the nutritionist help me taper off the med. I pray it works and I don't put too much weight back on but can eat healthily."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Mounjaro for 3 weeks. (2.5 mg injection) and It has helped me tremendously. I started out at 333 lbs. Now I weigh 319 lbs. I feel full for longer. Just feel tired a lot but I take vitamins and something for energy so that has helped. I take stool softeners so I won't get constipated. I had a slight headache for a couple of days when I first started. But not bad. I don't crave snacks, caffeine, or sweets like I use to on a daily basis. If I even overeat a little I feel miserable so I have to watch that. Managing your portions is very important. I'm doing better with that now. It doesn't take much for me to eat and drink to be satisfied. My BP has been good. My doctor said I may be able to get off BP meds soon. I am so grateful for this new med. Can't wait to move up to the next dosage."

My A1C initially went down to 4.5. My doctor was concerned - too low. So he took me off all insulin - wow. I’ve been Type 2 for over 10 years. My latest A1C was 5.9. Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started using Zepbound in March 2024, at 2.5 mg. History of Obesity (BMI > 29) and Hypertension. Starting weight was 202 lb. and Blood Pressure Avg. of 153/90. As of today, May 24, 2024, currently on 10mg. My weight is currently 177 lb, having lost 25 lbs (12%) of starting weight. It was easy to learn how to use the injection pen, and it is a painless process. I am also exercising, running 4-5 days per week and weight training 2 days per week. Exercise is an important adjunct to weight loss treatment, and can help maintain muscle mass while losing weight. It is also imperative to eat foods rich in protein and green, leafy vegetables. Side effects have been minimal, with occasional constipation, which is remedied by using Miralax or similar products."

My blood sugar is now normal to the low end. I really hope that insurance will kick in before the coupon is no longer effective. I am stunned by how well this has worked. I have tried other meds and nothing has come close. I am 11 lbs from my goal weight. I think I and going to have to readjust my goal. Yay!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Mounjaro for weight loss on 10/10/2023 and have lost 23 pounds as of 11/04/2023. I feel full most of the time, so my food intake has decreased. I am paying more attention to my eating habits. I eat more liquid meals with lots of protein, healthy snacks, and greatly lowered my salt intake while drinking lots of water daily. I have increased my exercise because I know I need to tone and firm along the journey. I feel so much better on the days that I exercise. My side effects have been nausea and extreme fullness. Sipping protein shakes and herbal tea with mint help soothe the stomach on those days of nausea. I highly recommend this drug for weight loss. I have seen others with amazing results."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was prescribed the 2.5 dosage as a trial by my endocrinologist for pre-diabetic and weight loss on 9/15/22. I felt fine the first day, shot was given in the morning but the next day I actually forgot to eat lunch. That is not normal for me. I wasn’t hungry. The third and fourth day I had horrible sulphur burps, nausea, fatigue. On the fourth day I took two naps which is not normal for me. I thought my symptoms were getting worse but then the fifth and sixth day I felt great. I am fearful to take the next injection this week as I don’t want a repeat of the less than desirable side effects. It really wrecked my weekend. On the up side, I lost a couple of pounds the first week. That’s exciting but at what cost?"
