Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I don't care about the shame this drug gets in the media. This medication has changed my life. Not only can I finally lose weight at a reasonable rate/level of effort, I genuinely enjoy exercising because I have the energy. I no longer see exercise as a price I have to pay to lose weight (and then not even lose weight anyway). My appetite has also plummeted. I have to remind myself to eat. There are occasional 'breakthrough' cravings, so I'll let myself have a treat, but after taking one or two bites I can't fathom eating it anymore. I don't know the exact rate that I've lost weight, but I've been on the drug for 4 or 5 months now and have lost about 30 lbs (went from 210 to 180). This is with casual effort where I exercise when I'm up for it (usually 3-4x/week for 45 min). I do not count calories, just eat intuitively. Taking this medication does not make you weak, lazy, or wanting an easy way out (I've heard it all). If offered this medication, please just give it a try!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Mounjaro since Jan. 2023. I have lost 20 pounds. I need to lose 20 more. Side effects: burping, stomach upset, constipation, flu-like body aches, mildly depressed feeling, and fatigue. Not every day, not every symptom every day, and not all day. It comes and goes. I will continue but do wonder how it’s gonna go long term. I’m just sick of being fat."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I started with this medication for weight loss, and since I am 58 and a diabetic, my insurance covered it. It is a fantastic weight loss drug for me. Starting at 5'6, 242 lbs, I've lost 23 pounds in 12 weeks. I don't remember when I was able to lose this much weight. I've dieted my whole life and finally gave up and ballooned to 242 lbs. You have to be careful about eating greasy food and not overeating. I did vomit a few times after eating greasy food. Other than that, I'm so excited. My first goal is to get to 180 and see what happens. My feet no longer hurt when I stand all shift."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started Zepbound 2.5mg two days ago and OMG, I cannot eat ANYTHING! I keep having waves of nausea that feels like I have a stomach virus! OMG people TRY THIS MEDICATION! My insurance wouldn't cover it, so I paid $1292 cash for the month's supply. I have been overweight my entire life, but THIS METHOD IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT! I did weigh myself (after only 2 days), and I lost 8 lbs so far. Next week I am only going to take a half dose (1.25mg) because the nausea has been really awful. I am an actual patient and just wanted to share my progress... THIS MEDICATION IS TRIED AND TRUE! Good luck!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I now have been taking Mounjaro for 8 months. At first, the side effects are a bit severe, and it is difficult, to say the least, but good things come to those who keep going. I have now lost 65 lbs. I started at a very athletic 385, and now I am 320. The only real issue has been the medicine not always being readily available. I had to go a month without it, and my body and mindset just kind of stayed the same and gained no weight back. Every time you go up a dose, the side effects come back, i.e., burping, nausea, chronic fatigue, but it is better than being heavy and less healthy. For those who read these things, this is my first review ever, but I think this drug is worth it."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Mounjaro at 2.5 mg, 8 months later I am at the 7.5 mg dose but to maintain my loss I now take it twice a month. I went from 210 to 150 lbs. This is a life-changer for me. It took all my cravings for bad food away, no more chips and pizza. I eat a much healthier diet now and like many others eat much less. My heartburn problems are gone and I have a lot more energy."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "This is my 2nd time posting. Was on Trulicity in the past & now Mounjaro 5mg, 7.5mg & bumped to 12.5. Effects for me are minimal & not bad, at all. Some days the acid reflux or constipation is bad, but it's not way off the charts & is manageable. One thing I noticed, as my doctor progressed me up the ladder to higher doses of Mounjaro...the weight loss is amp'ing up. Gradually starting to lose more per week than when on lower doses. Also, on 5 mg & 7.5mg, I noticed on days 1-4, I wasn't hungry AT ALL & knew that I needed to eat; therefore, I thought of food as FUEL, not just tasty & I made better/healthier choices. Now, on 12.5mg, I find days 1-5 or 6....I'm not hungry at all & still making better food choices, because I have to make myself eat. The 'in between meals snacking' has totally GONE AWAY. This drug has been a miracle for me, as my Thyroid Hashimoto's has caused so much weight gain w/the slower metabolism & I couldn't lose any weight until Mounjaro. It's a blessing!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Thanks for your efforts in publicizing the difficulties related to weight loss and the great results thus far regarding Mounjaro. I'm 73 years old. T2D and have a history of heart attack and ongoing heart disease. Every type of diet I've tried in the past has shown great results, but at 316 lbs this year, I no longer had the discipline or physical ability to repeat any of those efforts. I started on Mounjaro, paying my own way, on March 3rd of this year. 43 weeks in, with no side effects of any type, I've lost 103 lbs. I'm eating in a far less and healthier manner as I am able, but have no strict food regimen. The same goes for exercise. This is a miracle drug, with terrific results for blood pressure (now 118/68), A1c (5.7), PSA actually decreasing (.15), and I can now walk up to 3 miles at a time compared to 1 block in March. The only prohibitive factor for most people is the cost. Cancer, heart disease, and diabetes don't cause obesity. It seems the profession has it backwards when it comes to treatment."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in the 3rd week of using Mounjaro on a 2.5 dosage. I have lost 12 lbs already in the first 2 weeks. My starting weight was 18 stone and I am now 17.2 stones. The only side effect was constipation, but I have used laxatives to help. My cravings for food have totally disappeared. This is a game changer for me. I have struggled with my weight since I was a teenager, and since reaching menopause, this got worse. I was a comfort food eater, but now I have no cravings whatsoever. It is easy to inject. I am continuing with Mounjaro, and I am hoping I may finally lose my excess weight for good."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 76-year-old female and was prescribed Mounjaro 2.5mg beginning in July 2023 due to being prediabetic, 5'3'' and 186 lbs. After 3 months, my A1C was normal at 5.7 and all my blood work was within normal range. I had no side effects at all. As soon as Zepbound was approved and available for weight loss, I received a new prescription for Zepbound... still at the 2.5 dosage. It is now February 2024 and I am down to 136, which is my goal weight and a total weight loss of 50 pounds, or about one and a half pounds per week. My doctor said that I don't need to increase to a higher dosage unless 2.5 no longer quells my cravings. So far, the 2.5 works well for me. Now that I no longer want to lose weight, I wonder if I can reduce my weekly injection to once every two weeks. I seem to recall on the Mounjaro reviews that it is possible to do that and still avoid having cravings that could undermine my weight loss maintenance."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was prescribed Mounjaro for weight loss. I took my first 2.5mg dose on Friday, 9/16. Today is Sunday, two days later, and I have yet to feel anything different. I don’t feel full, and there’s no lack of desire to eat. I feel the same as I always have. I wonder if I did the shot right. I don’t know, maybe it takes a moment to kick in. I see people saying they lost weight in the first week; I’m not sure how that’s possible if I don’t have appetite suppression. I guess time will tell."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was on Mounjaro for 2 months. I had side effects of lower back pain, increased thirst, and decreased urine output. I increased my fluid intake, cut out all sugary drinks and foods. I could barely eat. I was on 5 mg. I woke on 1/16/2023 vomiting black coffee-like grounds. I went to the ER that afternoon and was admitted. After many labs and scans, I found out my liver was in shock. All liver enzymes were elevated. I am talking 1100 numbers elevated from what the normal is, 40 ish. My liver was on the way to shutting down. My body was shutting down. I also had a GI BLEED. Do not take this medication. There is not enough information!!!"

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Zepbound for 6 weeks now and I must say that I can really tell the difference in my eating and cravings. I started out with 2.5 mg, of course, and had no side effects. The 1st week or two, I struggled with 'food noise' and late-night snacking, eating potato chips, cookies, cupcakes, etc. By the 3rd week and up until now, I have to make myself eat something. I do not crave sweets at all. I'm up to 5 mg now, still no side effects - at least nothing that I can say the medication caused. I've had gastric sleeve 8 years ago, so I'm used to the 'if you eat too much you'll get sick' feeling. Had my gallbladder removed years before that. I even noticed that drinking alcohol has drastically changed. I was drinking Tequila daily - up to a fifth or more a week (no judgment, please), especially after a rough day at work, but now I can only sip from a small shot glass and may not even finish that. Some days I don't even think about drinking at all. This medication has been a blessing for me."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 73 lbs in 7 months. I am not hungry, cranky, normal energy levels. I eat what I want, just greatly reduced portions and I am full. Fried & processed foods no longer taste good and I naturally migrate to healthier foods, fruits & veggies. My cholesterol numbers have plummeted and are all in the normal range, I no longer have acid reflux and I quit snoring. I've gone from size 40 waist to a size 32. XL shirts and underwear to Medium. I have not felt this good or had as much energy in 30 years."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Zepbound for about 4 months and have dropped 40 pounds. For reference, I am 5’2” and was 192 when I started on the 2.5mg dose. I moved to 5mg after 4 weeks, and I’m still on 5mg (losing 1.5-2 lbs per week). I plan to stay on 5mg as long as I am losing weight. Side effects were tiredness and mild flu-like symptoms the first week, but nothing since. I am making better food choices and make sure I am in a calorie deficit. The medicine helps me feel fuller for longer and quiets food noise. Before I would constantly wander into the kitchen to snack, either due to boredom, stress, or whatever, but now I stick to mealtimes and stop eating when I am satisfied. Zepbound gives me the willpower I never had to resist cravings. This is the first time in my life I have been able to lose weight consistently, and it feels wonderful! If you are considering taking Zepbound, just do it! It is truly a miracle and 100% worth the cost."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started out great. Moved to 5.0 and had AWFUL vomiting on day 3 after injection. Dr. tried to move me back to 2.5 but Rx store was unable to get it. Went 5 weeks before it was restocked. Started 2.5 again with 0 effect. And I mean zero. Moved to 5.0 and the nausea is there, but so far, no vomiting. What concerns me is that I have suddenly been struggling with an elevated pulse and higher than normal BP. Wasn't an issue before, so not sure if it's related or incidental. May stop it because I just don't feel good. In addition over the 5 months of on and off again, I am down 4 pounds...and following a reasonable diet plan. Discouraged."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Zepbound approximately 3 weeks ago, and this is after having the Gastric Sleeve a year ago. Due to becoming ill, I gained about 30lbs back and was not happy at all. So finally, my doctor prescribed Zepbound. The nausea is unreal, but I tolerate it. When trying to eat anything fried, it's a vomiting situation that's going to happen. But overall, I have lost about 4lbs in the 3 weeks with no exercise. I will try and start exercising with the next mg upgrade. Guys, please realize everybody's journey is different, and you will lose what your body is supposed to lose, so don't overdo it. Zepbound is working great for me at the moment."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In the last 7 months, I went on a medically supervised, 1100-calorie per day diet to lose weight. I'm a 52-year-old female, 5'9'', and weighed 282 lbs. I managed to get down to 255 lbs and was feeling physically better, but constantly hungry, cranky, and miserable (also miserable to be around). After much discussion with my doctor (who was in favor of the medication), I started taking 2.5mg of Zep just before Christmas. After 3 weeks of use and despite many holiday celebrations, I'm down 4 lbs and all my cranky hanger is gone. I feel much better - all the noise in my head about food has disappeared, along with much of my appetite. I had constipation for the first couple of days after the first shot, but now I don't have any. My side effects have been minimal thus far, but I notice cravings and a bit of hunger coming back on days 5 and 6. I'm amazed at how easy this makes managing my diet, and it is so nice to not feel like a failure for once! I'm paying out of pocket with the savings card, but the $560 per month is so worth it."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I completed 4 weeks on 2.5 mg with zero side effects, other than the intended appetite suppression and lost 10 pounds. HOWEVER, after my second week at 5mg, I'm not sure I can continue. I've had awful nausea, vomiting, sulfur burps, and diarrhea, to the point I had to go to the ER for IV fluids and potassium. Zofran, Phenergan, Tums, and Pepto have zero effect. I can barely function, but hey, I'm down a total of 17 lbs in 6 weeks, so at least I'll look skinny for my next trip to the ER."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Started on 2.5 mg 3 weeks ago. I’m 5’2” and starting weight was 175.4, my highest was 180. I decided to try medication after my waist was 39 inches. After my 3rd injection, I am now 165 and lost 3 inches off my waist. This is with minimal exercise and mostly appetite suppression. Bacon and eggs that I have eaten faithfully as part of an attempt at the keto diet, I just can’t eat. Food is unappealing. I’ve struggled 2x this week to reach 1200 calories. That has never happened to me before. Side effects: indigestion, fatigue. Hoping this continues to work with minimal adverse events. I’ve been gaining/losing the same 3-5 pounds since my daughter’s birth 5 years ago. This makes sticking to a meal plan so much easier. My binge eating during “shark week” had gotten out of control. I’d like to add my kettlebell training back, hoping I get some energy back."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In the beginning, I couldn’t bend over to tie my shoes without having to take a break to breathe, or go through my 8-hour shift on my feet without having knee and ankle pain to the point of tears. I couldn’t wait until I was able to sit down and not get up but just to turn around and do it again. Injecting myself with very simple and easy steps to follow. I had very few side effects, only an occasional loose stool or nauseous sensation once in a while. My starting weight was 248 pounds and I am now 160 pounds. This has been a huge impact on my physical health. I'm able to walk and move throughout my day without having pain from the extra weight and stress on my joints."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It works but side effects are too much for me. I started 2.5 injections and immediately felt nauseous and vomited every day. I never felt hungry or had the desire to eat. I could only eat a handful of grapes or a few bites of food, and it felt like it never digested. The constant taste of stomach acid/vomit in my mouth made me miserable. Food stayed in my stomach for over 24 hours, which was disgusting. It's like I could still taste it. The lack of any food made me feel exhausted. I missed 2 days of work. I lost 5-6 pounds in 1 week, but the side effects aren't worth it. I won't be continuing. That's a lot of money down the drain, $550 for a 1-week trial. If it weren't for the stomach not emptying and vomiting, I would keep taking it."

I will be staying with this dosage for at least 2 months. I have dropped 18 pounds so far. I have nausea for a day or two after injection (still able to function at work). I still have about 30ish pounds to lose, but I no longer think about food. I am also so happy that my pain from fibromyalgia has gotten so much better. I don't have the inflammation all the time. I am 50 and in menopause, I have done the eat less, move more with little results. I am very happy with this medication. You still have to do the work (eat little sugar, high protein, exercise), but it is nice to see it actually working now!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been struggling on the weight loss rollercoaster for a while. Up 30 lbs, down 15 lbs, and so on and so forth. I'm taking a compound Mounjaro with B12. I have only been on 2.5 mg for less than a week and in that time, I feel GREAT! I've lost 3 lbs and don't crave midnight snacks, or snacks at all for that matter. The first couple of days I was unsure if I wanted to continue. I was exhausted, I couldn't think clearly, and had no energy. My body ached all over - no one had mentioned this, and just flat out was about to think that this was not for me. Day 3 and I felt great both physically and mentally. I hear people go up on dosage even after losing weight the first month, and unless I stall in my loss, I will continue on 2.5 mg. Remember, too much weight loss in a short amount of time isn't healthy. Slow and steady will help you keep the weight off when you stop taking this medicine (obviously with a change in your eating habits). Why put more drugs into my body than what is needed?"
