Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I should have read the reviews! I haven't had a yeast infection in years. But knew what it was. Went to the pharmacy & thought why not get the one day, super strength. WOW! What a mistake! Burning, throbbing pain as well as swelling. Sleeping impossible. The next day I was useless & trying to get this poison out of me in the shower. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "NO. Do not take this, ladies! Unless you want burning, itching, swollen lady parts, that is. I applied this as I laid down to sleep, just like I would with Monistat 7, but immediately felt the fires of hell erupting inside and out of the last place any sane person would pick to feel it. Finally got to sleep after splashing with cold water and laying down naked from the waist down, only to feel more (less intense) burning when I woke up again at 1:15 in the morning. If it's too late for you, the best remedy seems to be a cool bath. Heaven help us all. If it's not too late for you, JUST SAY NO. This drug should NOT be on the shelves! Really, FDA??!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst pain I have ever experienced. I can imagine only giving birth being worse. I had itching and burning that was very uncomfortable but tolerable before the Monistat 1. After the Monistat 1, the pain became so bad that I had to consciously breath to keep myself from loosing my temper. I went to the obgyn and when she tested me it hurt so bad that I actually cried... It would not have been that bad without the Monistat. She did explain that the yeast can create little cuts basically and when you put the cream in there it can cause burning. Just like putting alcohol on a cut.... So that's the explanation for it and it doesn't make me angry with Monistat. I'm just ready for this to be gone..."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "They should really put a warning on the label of this medication. Used it at bedtime woke up at 1 a.m. with a burning itching that was not relieved by any method. Completely miserable I do not know why so many women react this way but there should be a significant warning place on the label I'm going to reach out to the FDA. Beware of this medication hopefully you read this before use not after. There's nothing that's been able to relieve the inflammation pain and itching I'd rather have a yeast infection for the rest of my life then you have to feel this way."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So here's the deal. Don't take this unless you know you have a yeast infection! Bought this one since it seemed the least amount of time would be involved. Then I went home and read reviews. Everyone is warning about this INTENSE and HORRIBLE burning and itching they felt which actually made me hold off for a few days. If you do not have a diagnosed YI then this is going to BURN. Otherwise it's is going work like a charm. About ten minutes after putting this in before bed, I did feel a little bit of itching but not even enough to want to scratch. I fell asleep within 15 minutes and slept through the night. I had a diagnosed YI. I had NO BURNING. I had very little itching. This product is going to hurt if you don't have YI!!!!!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I of course like many unsuspecting victims, went to buy this product without reading the information/reviews on it first. Once injected I read the reviews and of course freaked out due to all the negative comments. I used the Monistat one day ovule, I was preparing myself for the worst discomfort but all I got was some slight burning and itching, nothing unbearable. I had the discomfort for probably about an hour and then it went away and I already feel my symptoms disappearing. I'm not sure why some people on here had such bad reactions but I just wanted to share my experience and say that it wasn't bad at all!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It has been 3 years since I tried this product. Somehow I had forgotten how horrible it is! I used the Monistat 1 Day ovule at 4pm for a standard yeast infection, wanted to stop it before it was full blown. By midnight my vag was on Fire and by 2am my labia was so swollen it was hard to walk without pain! I used this 38 hours ago and I'm still in pain!! This Product Is Poison!!! Do Not Use if you value your health & sanity! Nightmare! Shame on the partner companies (Prestige Brands Holdings, Inc., the makers of MONISTAT®, and Vertical Pharmaceuticals, LLC ) that make soo much money off a Known severe symptom causing product. All female executives that have a hand in marketing and promoting this product need a sample dose of the Fire Ovule!"

Tioconazole 1 Day (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used Tuesday night thinking everything would be ok, and by Wednesday morning my vagina had blew up like a hot air balloon. I had a CRAZY reaction to this cream. I can’t even walk correctly due to my vagina being SO very swollen. Please ask your doctor before using this or just don’t use it at all. I bought the Dollar General 1-day treatment and I regret it so much. This was a horrible and uncomfortable experience for me. I ended up going to urgent care and the doctor cleaned as much of the cream out as she could. PLEASE guys don’t use this. Don’t use any off brand yeast infection medicine."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok so I bought this tonight before I read reviews. I applied it and 10 min later I was in pain......I couldn't believe the itching and burning. I then started reading reviews and I was like - what did I do? I was debating taking a shower and removing all cream or sticking it out while I did some research and watched Netflix. Well after 40 min I started to feel relief and now it's very mild. Clearly the medication for 1 day is way stronger but I'm hoping that by tomorrow morning I'll be much better. Now that the burning stopped I can go to sleep. Ladies good luck and hope you feel better soon."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used Monistat 1 about a year ago and a few more times before, worked great, relief within 24 hours. My current experience is a complete 180. The burning and itching is unbearable. I can't imagine what the makers have done differently, they need to go back to the original formula, which worked fine. I wish I used the 3 day or just went to the Dr. It's bedtime, but the pain is keeping me awake. I will never purchase again!!!!"

Tioconazole 1 Day (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Tioconazole worked wonders for me! I took it 2 days after I noticed my YI coming on... (I’ve had them in the past so I knew what it was right away) and I did NOT experience any of the crazy burning or itching like the other reviews say. But I did have a slight itch after I took it but nothing unbearable. It took 4 days for my symptoms to be completely gone. I will use this again if I ever need it!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my second YI. The first time I used the 3 day but stopped after day 2 because I felt so much better. So this time I decided to go with the 1 day to get it over with. I put it in right before bed and then, like so many others, read these terrible reviews. I braced myself for the worst and went to bed. I honestly didn't sleep very well because I was expecting to wake up in pain. But I didn't. No burning, minimal itching. I peed twice in middle of the night and made sure to wipe back to front. My only complaint would be the discharge, though it's to be expected. Just used a panty liner and no big deal. Woke up in the morning, took a shower and used the wipes and I feel no symptoms. I think it's trial and error but no complaints from m"

Tioconazole 1 Day (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased the Rite Aid brand 1 day Ticonazole after the Diflucan treatment failed..I'm so glad I did.. The day after I applied the medicine I only experienced a little bit of swelling and burning which was totally tolerable. After 2 days the itching had stopped and all symptoms were and gone after 3 days.. This will be my go-to otc med from now on if I ever need to use it again!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So i developed a YI from a steam room I believe. I have gotten a few of them recently. I've taken the monostat 1 day treatment with the "evil egg" and that made it unbearable - worst experience ever. I just sat in the tub and cried a little lol So when i developed another YI I went to my Dr because I did not want to go through that again. She recommended the prefilled applicator 6.5 - THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MONOSTAT 1 CAPSULE... the itchiness is very mild and not nearly as gooey. BUY MONOSTAT 1 PREFILLED 6.5 -- DO NOT BUY THE CAPSULE MONISTAT 1 The 6.5 is quick relief and doesn't torture your "who-ha". Best of luck ladies!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I looked into it and burning from monistat often occurs when you have an infection other than a yeast infection because the pH levels are different and cause a different reaction. Yeast infections don't change pH in this way. Use an infection screening kit from any pharmacy and make SURE you only have a yeast infection before using monistat... I had only a yeast infection and therefore experienced none of this itching or burning, just light cramps."

Tioconazole 1 Day (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I just inserted the medicine and I don't feel any extra burning or itching so maybe because I inserted the ointment in far enough but yeah it's going well so far. I'm sleeping with thin cotton underwear on to air out a little and will probably just wear a pad tomorrow since someone said to because it melts. It's been about an hour tho and I actually feel better. Maybe it's my mind telling me that the yeast infection will go away now that I have medicine or maybe it's really the medicine but either way I already feel better and I can sleep!!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got the Monistat 1 Day pack yesterday to treat a yeast infection I contracted while on vacation, that I'd had for about a month. This is first yeast infection I've had, I am 18. Before taking it, I came on here to read reviews to see if it would really work.. and to say the least, it only made me terrified. I thought I was going to be miserably awoken to a burning, swollen vagina. But, for some reason I took it anyway. Inserted around 1 am, then went to bed. Did not wake up at all. Woke up around 10 am feeling only the slightest bit of discomfort. Only thing I've experienced is the normal discharge of the medicine. Nothing even close to unbearable. I've been itch free all day thus far! This product worked perfectly for me!"

Tioconazole 1 Day (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased this Tioconazole 1 Day product on a Tuesday and just like the others, my vagina swelled shut. I was in terrible pain. I’m on Jardiance so YI are common and normally I’d take diflucan or I would Monistat 7 and in a day or so I’m good. However using this product is a different story. Here it is Friday and I’m still itching and in pain. This product is not worth the $10 I paid. I highly recommend that this product is avoided at all cost. It was not effective and caused me pain."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "ALERT: will light your vag on fire. I stupidly inserted just before an amazing date night with my man. I ended up considering medevac-ing myself to the nearest IVU (Intensive Vag Unit). Still burning the next day. I wanna punch myself in the face. Horrible, horrible, torturous product. Must have been created by a misogynist."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, I'm 63 years old and have had more than my share of Yeast Infections, although it's really not an actual infection but an overgrowth of Yeast, right? I tried Monistat 1 only because the 3, 5 and 7 days dosages were out of stock. Ladies, this product is not good. Being post menopause with no vaginal moisture to mitigate effects, I'm now on my 5th day of itching worse than the condition itself, and burning from vulva to anus. I used to use Monistat in my younger days. I cannot believe the difference! I know you fertile females are suffering too, judging from your comments. But if any other post menopausal gals are reading this, here is my heartfelt advice: slow down, take a few days. Use the extended dosage. Good luck all. Back to cold compresses! Damn."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "To whom ever this may concern, DO NOT USE MONISTAT. This products says side effects may include, "mild increase in burning or stinging". That is an absolute lie, this product made my symptoms SEVERELY WORSE. It made me feel pain go from a 1 to a 10 in a matter of minutes. This product made me feel absolutely awful and who ever came up with the product should use it themselves to see how painful it is. This product made my symptoms so much worse and the burning and itching of the cream will not go away. Why is this product still allowed to be sold if a very limited amount of people are being given relief? Poor people buy this product to seek help and to find relief, but it just makes things 100 times worse. Absolutely horrible and someone need to do something about getting this product off of the market. I am still trying to seek relief for the burning this product has given me."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was afraid to use this product after reading all of the negative reviews, but I knew I had a yeast infection and did not want to waste extra time and money to go to the doctor. I did not have any of the problems that other users listed. The most that I experienced was a little bit of mild heat after I inserted the ovule, but no burning or itching. This product does cause discharge so I would recommend using panty liners or pads. It cleared up my symptoms within two days and I feel much better. Would recommend!"

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I used this same product in 2016, now fast forwarding to 2019 and I find the need to put my Vag through this Hell. The monistat causes an itching, burning and pain like no other, because is constantly there with no ceasing. You will not sleep, concentrate or be in a good mood while this “extremely strong medication is doing what you paid to do - kill the yeast infection!!! I am literally writing this review as I am sitting under the massive discomfort of a this medication. I don’t discourage anyone from using it, however, I put out a disclaimer: BEWARE!!!...It will test your character, patience, tolerance and soul!!!! But it works... it will get rid of an itch, odor and burning from YI. Time: it takes about 1-2hrs for the gelatin egg to dissolve, and the burning , itching, discomfort to start. Length: this varies. Discomfort could last from 1 hour to eternity."

Monistat 1 Vaginal Ointment (tioconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 18 and experienced my first yeast infection a few days ago. I read the reviews here after I had already used the Monistat 1 and was terrified. Luckily, I have had great results. After 3 days of YI symptoms, I used Monistat 1 around midnight last night. I did experience some itching during the night but it was totally manageable. I did not experience the intense burning/itching that others described despite having sensitive skin. My skin was somewhat raw but not terrible before using the medication which may have helped. The next morning everything felt completely back to normal (besides discharge which Monistat does say is normal) and the swelling has gone down almost entirely. Only some discharge 20 hours later. Really worked for me!"
