Tioconazole topical Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Warnings

Overview

If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Tioconazole while you are pregnant. It is not known if Tioconazole is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Tioconazole, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

Tioconazole topical Pregnancy Warnings

Tioconazole has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies utilizing high oral and subcutaneous doses have not revealed evidence of teratogenicity. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Tioconazole is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.

Tioconazole topical Breastfeeding Warnings

There are no data on the excretion of tioconazole into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering tioconazole to nursing women.
