Systane (ocular lubricant) "I have gotten broken blood vessel in my eyes two or three times. I was wondering if it was from the systane drops. I just started using them recently as my eyes were dry. Has anyone else had this side affect."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "Use it to clear my dry eyes and thought it's doing good. But no...I am experiencing blurred vision now. Reading all the reviews I have proven it is from the use of this systane balance eye drop. So sad...instead of helping my eyes it made it worst."

Refresh Tears (ocular lubricant) "My eyes occasionally become dry. I have used many brands of eye drops over the years. I recently purchased Refresh Tears Lubricant Eye Drops (because of good price). As soon as I put a drop in each eye, my eyes immediately became very red and painfully sore. I have never had such an effect with other brands of eyedrops, including Equate."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "Two years after an "outbreak" of dry eye had come and gone I went to the eye Dr. inquiring about lasek and long story short, she told me I should start and continue using eye drops because my dry eye could flare up again and etc etc For whatever reason I listened to this stupid advice and started using Systane even though I would normally think "why tx it if it's not even a problem. Well, the first day of using Systane, my dry eye symptoms all came back and I've been dealing full blown dry eye, tearing like crazy, raw in the corner of my eye, and eye lashes falling out from constant moisture and itching all night. THANKS DOC.! and Systane."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "My optometrist suggested I use Systane Ultra in the evening try ease my mild dry eye issues. She suggested that we do not produce tears while sleeping and these were more long lasting than the usual eye drops used for dry eyes. I immediately noticed my eyes were dryer and itchier than normal. I would not recommend these drops , have discarded them, and have informed my optometrist of my experience."

Systane Hydration PF (ocular lubricant) "The drops were recommended by my eye doctor, and they're quite good. That is, if you can get them in your eyes. The bottle is hands down the worst dispenser I have ever used, half of the time resulting in these rather expensive drops missing my eye and running down my face. They REALLY need to change the bottle to make it safer and more accurate."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I usually use Thera Tears but picked up the new Systane Balance on sale. I thought I was going crazy but my eyelashes started falling out! I couldn’t figure out why until I switched back to Thera Tears and they’re finally growing back. Never again!"

Systane Ultra (ocular lubricant) "Good lord. How can you market a product to cure dry eyes which does the complete opposite? Isn't that fraud? The makers of this stuff better watch out for a class action lawsuit because this stuff is awful and the company is guilty of false advertising. Have used for only one day and my eyes are getting worse by the minute. They feel dry, sticky and sore. Not the least bit moisturized! Just decided to discontinue."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I was advised to use Systane ultra gel for dry eyes. I woke up one morning and my eyes were blood red! I stopped using Systane for a few days and I was fine. A week later my eyes became dry during the night so I used the Systane. Sure enough, the next morning my eyes were blood red again. In the trash is where these drops will go."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I’ve only used these drops a few times for my dry eyes, as doc recommended, but what I find is they seem like they are just “sitting on top” of my eye without actually absorbing for a long time. Does not feel hydrating, more like irritating. I don’t have any problems with itching or burning, but they do seem to make my eyes blurrier after I put them in for quite a while, and my eyes will not focus as well. Last night, when I was driving home at night after using these about an hour prior to that, it was harder to see and the lights had more of a halo effect. I have had much better luck with simple artificial tear drops."

Systane Ultra (ocular lubricant) "Purchase Systane and new bottles were half empty and the label hides the half filled bottle. It's very misleading. Will never buy again and will look for another brand since there are a lot of other options. No one likes to be fooled no matter if it's effective. It's not that much better than other brands to justify getting deceived."

Oasis Tears (ocular lubricant) "For me and my doctor oasis tears are the best in the market, however they are extremely expensive. The vials are a disaster, they are difficult to close and you lose a lot of product which at the price they sell, it is too much this is the reason I would not recommend them There are many products in the market who can do similar job don’t waste your money as I did"

Systane (ocular lubricant) "A year ago, I was given a small bottle sample of Systane for my dry eyes. But I seldom used it and I observed most of the time my vision is blurry. Recently, after getting a pair of glasses, Optometrist prescribed Systane to me for dry eyes. So I finally bought a twin pack. Been using it occasional days for 2 weeks. and feeling light burning sensation. On the 3rd week, I used it 5 days in a row and on the 3rd day, I started seeing 3-4 dots gray-black floaters in my one eye. On the 5th day, I woke up with too many floaters plus a web like sticky vision that moves whenever I move my eye from left to right. I went back to the Optometrist and relayed about my floaters. She advised me to see an Opthalmologist asap. I even asked her maybe it was caused by Systane and she said, no, Systane doesn't cause floaters. But why I got floaters suddenly after days of using Systane?. Why they are prescribing this to people if it cause eye damage?? I wish someone should investigate this product."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "Have used Systane Ultra for a few years & found it to be helpful for dry eyes. Since the nozzle of the dispenser has been changed to a flatter design, I find I'm wasting more than using it effectively, even though I follow the dispensing instructions. The drops don't dispense properly as they did with the longer nozzle, with the drops running down the side of the bottle & missing the eyes completely. Hopefully, this problem will be rectified by a change of design back to the original nozzle shape."

Systane Complete (ocular lubricant) "I have dry eyes and never bothered by them - until I had my second cataract surgery. I was extremely affected - light sensitive, scratchy, hard to focus and at night, really irritated. I was using the Systane Balance several times a day. Went back to the optometrist and she suggested (and gave me a sample) of the Systane Complete. After four times a day application, I noticed a 100% difference. She also suggested the ointment at night which I have started. My eyes are feeling normal and I will continue. Thank goodness!"

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I had a routine eye appointment with an optometrist yesterday (Saturday) and he recommended Systane Ultra. I used it twice and can no longer see through my glasses - everything is blurry (Sunday) 24 hours later. I'm not using it again and I'm going to go see an ophthalmologist tomorrow. I'm worried it damaged my vision; I hope it goes back to normal."

FreshKote (ocular lubricant) "I have severe dry eyes due to radiation of the left eye. This is the ONLY eye drops that has really helped. I usually use them twice a day. If I do not my eyes are very irritated. I am very disappointed because pharmacy I use has discontinued stocking them because of the cost. Many of my friends have changed to Freshkote, they are worth the extra cost. My sight is worth the cost."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "Side effects HORRIFIC..bloodshot eyes, pain, unbelievable itching..that almost had my eye surgery cancelled. Opthamologist claims it is because only the individual applicators are the only ones that are PRESERVATIVE FREE..and that is what caused the adverse terrible effects. What was worse...the skin under my eyes were literally burnt to a crisp after using 1 week. Ultra, Gel drops and nighttime gel all caused same terrible results...Read carefully what Alcon writes..Preservative free is ONLY in the individual packets..."

Systane Hydration PF (ocular lubricant) "The tamper proof applicator is one of the worst applicators ever for eye drops. Not everyone drops the eye drops into the eye by tilting back the head. I pull down the lower lid and place a drop. When using this applicator, you cannot place the drop exactly where you want it to go; so it either runs down the face or misses the face altogether. The tip needs to be a lot more pointed so it is visible when turning the head to the side. I will not buy this applicator again."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "It took me long enough to notice what the culprit was and thought I should warn others. A few years back I started using Systane for dry eye comfort and my left eye got extremely blurry and would not clear. It took months to clear after I stopped using the product, then I was diagnosed with cataracts and had cataract surgery. My eyesight was never so clear till I tried systane again … guess what my vision in the same eye got blurred so I went to see my doctor who told me laser surgery will clear it… fast forward covid hit so six months passed and it cleared by itself after 6 months. Not realizing that systane is the culprit I used it again 2 months ago … guess what? Complete blurry vision in my left eye again for two months now and going … I don’t see how they haven’t been in a class action lawsuit yet for blinding people!!!!! Stay far away from this product"
