Estroven (multivitamin with minerals) for Dietary Supplementation "I'd been using a patch for relief of HRT (hormone replacement therapy) since having complete hysterectomy about 8-10 yes. ago. Now that I am of Medicare age, my insurance company would not refill this Rx. I decided to try Estroven to help with hot flashes. It has worked great with me! No hot flashes now."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "It is most likely the zinc causing nausea, but could also be vitamin A. I have a very sensitive digestive system and I can take Lutein 40mg, Zeaxanthin, Vitamin C 1000mg, and E with NO issues. If your doctor insists, at least try the vitamins other than zinc and A and see how you feel. Some are better than non!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I took this drug for about 7 years and during that time I felt almost constantly unwell with stomach pain, gastritis, fatigue, hand bruising, nausea, and more. I had many tests but drs could not figure what was causing my problems. Finally, one dr suggested that I stop taking Preservision AREDS2 for 2 weeks and within 3 days, I felt so much better...even my hands stopped bruising. I think it's the massive amount of Zinc (80 mg) that one gets each day with the 2 capsules that caused my problem. Now I'm taking Lutein and trying to get more Zinc in my diet. There should be more information available about the pros and cons of this vitamin!"

Estroven (multivitamin with minerals) for Dietary Supplementation "I’ve been taking Estroven for over 6 weeks for irritating and embarrassing hotflashes. The product I chose is not specifically for weight control, I have been noticing that my face looked very round and my eyes very puffy in the mornings and I gained 11 pounds in a very short time without a huge change in my diet or routine. I noticed a little labored breathing and the end of my tongue feels like it’s been scalded but I haven’t burned it. I like to call my horses in the morning by rolling my tongue in a shrill Ringing sound and I was concerned because it felt like my tongue was numb or felt large so I couldn’t make the sound easily. It seems like my hot flashes are a little less severe But I am not ok with the weight gain or the mouth issues and my sleep is not any better . I am not having any serious issues with depression and mood swings so for just meed to cool the hot flashes!"

I fall to sleep better than before, which is a plus for me. Still battling the hot flashes that drive me up the wall. Not sure if I'm taking the right kind of estrogen. Spousal fights have been curbed drastically so it has benefitted me a lot."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "My mom was prescribed this medication for her Macular Degeneration. She was 84 at the time. Poor thing, the first night she took one pill, she was doubled over in so much abdominal pain she couldn't sleep at all. I couldn't imagine why something for your eye would cause some abdominal pain. However, it was the only thing she had taken differently when the pain started. So we knew it was that. A few weeks later, I decided to try it myself. I had such intense cramping in my abdomen, I couldn't even stand up straight. So based on the reaction my mother and I got, this medication dose is too high for people to take. They need to figure out the dose that will still work to help with the eye diseases, but doesn't cause you to double over in agony from abdominal pain!"

Estroven (multivitamin with minerals) "I’ve been taking for 2 years for terrible hot flashes and night sweats. It made a HUGE difference and I thought it was a miracle cure! For the past 6 months, I’ve had persistent low grade fever, severe nausea and abdominal pain as well as elevated liver enzymes and high triglycerides. After ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI it’s been narrowed down to my liver which is enlarged and inflamed. Black cohosh in Estroven can cause all this. I stopped taking it a week ago. So far no change but I’m praying it hasn’t done permanent damage. Please research and use caution if taking this. Look up Drug Induced Liver Injury."

I have noticed no side effects. I have very early stage macular degeneration, which my mother also had. I hope it helps ward that off."

Centrum Silver (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Recent blood test during physical revealed high Iron levels in my blood test. My research tells me that the vast majority of post menopausal women don't need extra iron . This Vitamin supplement in Dallas, TX, United States (DFW-Dallas-Fort Worth Intl.)marketed to women over 50 . My Dr advised me to stop taking any vitamin supplement that contains Iron. I plan to switch back to One a Day /50 . Which has no iron in it ."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I'm so sick right now, I don't really like typing this review. I bought a bottle of 120 PreserVision, per my eye dr. orders. I do have M.D. Last night I counted what was left in the bottle. I have taken 28 caplets. I have only been taking one a day. I have been so sick every day. Sick at my stomach, stomach pain, very weak, very tired, my back and joints hurting to the point I have had to use pain meds. I have been to ER with horrible pain in middle of my back around to my side and chest. It wasn't a heart issue. My vitals were ok and my blood test was ok. I'm a person who was walking 2 miles most days of the week. I can't now. I have low back pain, leg pain and heel pain. I have felt very unwell, every day since the day I started talking AREDS 2. I can't swear that all these problems are caused by PreserVison but after reading these reviews I'm not taking more. I told my eye dr. about my problems taking P.V AREDS 2, he told me to keep talking them."

Centrum Silver (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I was taking 25mg JANUVIA(for blood sugar) is mall amount but I verified on the second day that my sugar was high 195 and no food. I think Centrum Silver interacts with the Januvia. Very careful if you are taking pills for sugar or blood pressure."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Been taking Bausch & Lomb Areds2 for one week. I have experienced more than normal acid reflux and lots of belching, my eye floaters have become more noticeable, have experienced an increase of blurry vision, but the worst side effect is severe tightness in lower back. I thought maybe I had hurt my back, or had somehow got a kidney infection. Now after reading other reviews, I'm pretty sure the problem is related to these PreserVision vitamins. Am going to stop taking them immediately."

Migraine is dull because I've been taking my Nurtec for it. Nurtec normal kicks my migraines butt, but when it didn't I began to wonder if it was these supplements. So glad I came across this site! I now know it was being caused by a reaction to the Alreds2. The nausea wasn't from my migraine as I had thought too. It was from this supplement. So thankful for everyone who has shared their experiences here, as it is preventing me from the continued misery being caused by this supplement. If I hadn't came across this site & thread, I would have continued thinking my body either needed to adjust to the supplement or was experiencing an out of the normal migraine episode."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I took my first dose an hour ago, felt nauseous within 30 minutes and was vomiting ten minutes later. I have vomited five times in the first hour. It was scary because the gel cap and it’s contents are red, so my first thought was that I was vomiting blood (I wasn’t). Now I sitting here wondering when this will end and whether or not I should be trying to drink lots of water to flush it out of my system or encourage more vomiting to get it all out. The level of vitamin e is no higher than vitamin e doses that I have taken in the past. It could be the night dose of zinc, or maybe just a reaction to the marigold or other ingredient in their product. I am also wishing I hadn’t bought the 210 count bottle. It’s only 7pm, but it feels like this is going to be a long night. Hoping the nausea passes soon."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "My doctor recommended this eye supplement to protect my eyes from the beginnings of macular degeneration which is currently stable. I take one tablet with breakfast and one with dinner and have done so for about one month. Well, I haven’t been sleeping soundly since taking these red pills. I’ll sleep for two or three hours and then need to use the bathroom and then two or three more hours of sleep, etc. I’m glad I found others on this site with sleep issues due to the red pill!! I’m going to stop taking it."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I just wanted to improve my eye sight and my Mom recommended AREDS 2. Never taken them consistently but experienced nausea every time. Especially if I took it on an empty stomach. Two days ago I took my regular vitamins which consist of vitamin D and iron and a few minutes later took an AREDS 2 and got horribly sick. I had severe stomach cramps and nausea, I couldn’t get out of the bed I was in so much pain. After taking Prilosec and a Nexium I managed to feel a lil better that evening. The next day every time I tried to eat or drink water my stomach began to cramp and I experienced extreme dehydration and joint pain no matter how much water I drank. Hopefully the worst is over, will never take those again! They should be taken off the market or have some serious warnings on them!"

I had no idea it could have caused by the Preservision! I will immediately stop taking them as I haven’t felt well since the day I started taking them! PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I was prescibed AREDS2 by Retina Therapist. Said to take any brand. I chose Preservision AREDS2 as heard it was the best. Well after I started taking it the first day felt extremely nauseous, very shaky, diarrhea, blurred vision. I kept taking my 1 in am & 1 in pm with food and did it for 5 days and just became sicker & sicker. It was so bad. So I stopped taking & am having a terrible time getting it out of my system & its been 3 days and still sick. I am staying very hydrated. Saw my eye Dr and he said to stay off it and it should be out of my system in 5 days. This stuff is extremely high in Zinc 40 mgs per capsule so taking 2 you are getting 80 mg of Zinc which is way way too much, esp for me as I only weigh 98 lbs and am a small woman. That’s way way too much Zinc for me. Even 1 capsule of 40 mgs of Zinc is way too much! So I attribute the huge amounts of Zinc for causing me to get so sick. I have read reviews stating Zinc dosage was way too high. Will try one that has only 12.5 mg"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "I started taking Preservision 2 weeks ago. After taking one pill in the morning and one in the evening I became very nauseous. Took recommended dosage for 2 more days and still became very nauseous. I have Glaucoma and was hoping this would help. Also, my vision has become blurry, my left eye is sensitive to light, and I had muscle weakness, hot flashes, and night sweats. This stuff is horrible. I have stopped taking it but still have some nausea. Hopefully, it will be better soon. FDA needs to inspect the ingredients or how it's made!"

Within a day or two, I noticed a serious lightening up of the fuzz brain I'd been having, felt more clear. I have had a loss of appetite, but no gain or loss of weight yet. I did have a small episode of itchy hives on my arm and didn't realize the possible connection until I reread the side effects. I also haven't seen a big change in hot flashes yet. So, far getting brain back has out weighed anything negative."

Ocuvite (multivitamin with minerals) for Vitamin/Mineral Supplementation and Deficiency "Bought bottle of Ocuvite Adult+ Vit. & Min. Supplement at our drug store on July 28, 2022. Expiry date was ok: 2023-08. I took one gel cap around 10 pm. I woke up with a horrible headache. Pounding, stabbing and my head felt swollen as if it was going to explode. I am totally healthy... took no other meds... don't get headaches normally. The drug store won't take the pills back and there 1-800 number on the pkg for Bausch+Lomb, which I could call to get a refund! It's July 29 noon now and the headache is gone but my head is still buzzing and my balance is off. I hope they take it off the market!!!"

I took my first dose, yesterday, and within an hour was horribly ill with stomach cramps, severe bloating, nausea and back pain. Somehow, it didn’t occur to me that it was the Preservision. I just took a second day’s dose, twenty minutes ago, and am already feeling sick, again. Googled and found these reviews. I’m so angry. This is ridiculous. This shouldn’t even be on the market or, at the very least, should come with clearly marked warnings. Sitting here, wondering if I should try to bring this dose back up or flush my system with water."
