Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First and second night with Monistat 3 were pure torture. Intense burning. I literally couldn't sleep that's how bad it was. I used the external cream and thought that was making things worst my poor vag was hanging and swollen. I could barely walk. I decided to just stick with it. Sitting in a tub of hot water helped which is weird relief to a burning vag. I only noticed relief when I washed up for bed. I guess the burn means it's work. After the second night, my swelling went down. I could walk without looking like a cowboy. the third night of treatment was the best night in comparison. There was mild burning but I could get some sleep. I've completed the 3 day treatment. I still have a little itchiness and soreness. I will continue to use the cream on the outside 2 times a day until my itchiness goes away. Despite the lava journey it seemed to work. They lose major stars for the pain. They need to get back in the lab and develop a gentler approach or at least provide numbing cream. sheesh!"

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am abandoning this treatment on day three because it is extraordinarily uncomfortable to use - it basically feels like a combination of ants biting my cervix and a case of poison ivy in my vagina. It is worse than the yeast infection itself. I suffered through the first couple days, which were pretty bad, but tonight I just couldn’t take it and I used my bidet to try to rinse as much of this Monistat hot sauce out of me as possible. It was either that or felt like using scratcher up in there to try to ease the itch and pain."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It says that it may mildly increase itching, burning & irritation but I swear it’s severe! I was hardly itchy before using this product like the infection had just began and this made it 10x worse! I would never use this again I wanted to cry I couldn’t do anything but lay down."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am no stranger to yeast infections. My grandmother made me use a suppository egg when I was about 12. Needless to say I was a virgin so that was definitely a no go. That was a bad experience so I've always gotten the off brand suppository creams because they were the cheapest, and they worked great. However, tonight I tried the Monistat brand for the first time. As soon as I inserted it and laid down it burnt like hell all while I'm trying so hard not to scratch my vagina. I immediately googled my symptoms and here I am writing a review. The pain lasted for about a good hour, but dying laughing at most of these reviews helped me cope with the pain."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve only ever used doctor prescribed medication to get rid of a YI. I didn’t have time to go to the doctor so I went to the drug store and got Monistat 3. I had no idea what to expect but I inserted as directed. After a couple of minutes the burning and itching was unbearable. I thought for sure something was wrong so I got up and read the box. Some burning and itching can occur. It’s a nightmare. But it’s doing its job. Thank goodness for all these comments that let me know that I’m not alone. But I want my YI gone so I will do this for the other two doses!!!"

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m on the 3rd night of a 3 day Monistat cream insert. I took ibuprofen before inserting the last dose- fast forward 3 hours and I literally just woke up (* I only wake up in pain with migraines, no other pain wakes me up) with a terrible itching sensation - convinced my YI is not going away because there’s no way my burning and itching (not to mention severely irritated labia) is caused by the actual medicine. Then I found this forum of reviews and wow I really wish I had read it before trying this med. I used vagistat 3 day months ago for a different YI with no issues. Never again Monistat! If you want to be up at 2 am writing a scathing review then feel free to use this product."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "okay so this is my first yeast infection and I was too embarrassed to call my doctor (which I shouldn’t have been because it’s common and ok to ask for help!!) but anyways do NOT use any kind of Monistat product if you have sensitive skin or a low pain tolerance because it burns so much worse than the actual infection. Go talk to your doctor to see what’s the right move. I’m currently sitting on the couch with an ice pack in between my legs because I am in so much pain. I never leave reviews on anything but I don’t want any other woman going through what I and others have gone through while using this product. I’ll be seeing my doctor real soon."

Monistat 1 Combination Pack (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It works, but holy mother of God this stuff itches and irritates like crazy...for the first little while. Shortly after inserting it, it starts itching/irritating like crazy. I suggest just laying down for as long as you can stand it (about an hour) and then get up to pee. When you do, a great amount of the Monistat will leak out of the vagina. Clean yourself up, take a deep breath, and prepare to feel much, much better in about 15 minutes. Not all cures are pleasant. Suck it up. This stuff works."

Monistat 1 Combination Pack (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After all the horrible reviews I was afraid to try, but I had already bought and went for it I inserted at night and had no symptoms, woke up fine went pee and I just experienced a cool sensation no burning. So I discovered that if you use this and don't have a yeast infection (it maybe possible you have bacterial vaginosis similar symptoms as a yeasty ) and the bacteria will grow more as monistat is to treat a yeast infection, hence why some people are experiencing a lot of burning, for bc you need antibiotics."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "FIRST!! let me just say I just wasted my $19. I went to the urgent care this week because I was unable to get a GYN appointment due to my dr being fully booked. In the urgent care they did all my STI tests and they all came back negative and was just given a diflucan which doesn't usually help. I took it up on myself to try monistat for the first time and LET ME TELL YOU THAT THING WAS BURNING MY BITS OFF I HAD to JUMP IN THE SHOWER WITH THE COLD WATER RUNNING!!!!"

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "BAD-BUT it gets better. There’s a trick to it. My first day and experience with this product was a nightmare. It felt like I let fire ants loose in my lady bits. I was crying with my legs up in the air googling side effects to see what was wrong. Then I came across this board and saw everyone describing my exact horrible situation. BUT I also saw the ladies who had some good tips, and said it got better. I realized I didn’t apply the medication far enough in, and I stood up to brush my teeth immediately after. Those were my two big mistakes. Tonight, day two of Monistat 7, and I pushed the applicator in further, which did gave me minimal cramping. I also stuck a pillow under my hips. The key seems to be not letting this product leak out of vaginal canal or anywhere further. I will use this product again, but I wish I knew the consequences of improper application BEFORE I started."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Night one is very intense, burning and itching immediately, makes you want to crawl out of your skin. It lasted maybe 15-20 min then it subsided. The next morning I felt better, all the symptoms slowed down. You must wear a panty liner throughout the day. Night 2 and 3 were much better!!! Glad to hear I wasn't the only one. It works but you must suffer a bit."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 7 Night 2: Felt better during the day but not 5 minutes after insertion it's as if a swarm of Mosquitos and a family of chiggers decided to break bread within my vagina but were subsequently removed by an invasion of fire ants who are drunk off Fireball and like to play with matches. I'm afraid to move with disrupting the fire ants. They're an aggressive breed."

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Um, I am 100% confused as to why there are no commercials on TV talking about “If you or a loved one has been a victim of Monistat you may be entitled to financial compensation.” How on earth is the level of pain from this product acceptable? Absolutely nothing bought on the shelf at a store should cause this much pain...I’m in tears, clenching my legs trying to hold in my Vagina because it literally feels like it’s trying to fall the heck out. This was day one, I’m not taking day 2 or 3. I had used Monistat 1 before and I would’ve taken an end of life option over the pain. Fast forward a few years to today when I thought I’d be clever and try the 3, thinking it wasn’t as concentrated. No ma’am, not my vagina...never the heck again! Don’t do it Ladies, spend the copay and go see your doctor. Mine had left for the day today and I didn’t want to go the whole weekend with the YI...probably would’ve been a better choice to just wait!"

Monistat 1 Combination Pack (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "To begin with, I am very sensitive to all skin products. And unfortunately didn't read these reviews before inserting the damn Monistat egg thing. Worst thing I could have done!!! I was fine until the casing of the egg dissolved... Then it was FIRE!!! I wanted to tear my damn vulva and vagina off! I'm sitting in a bath now at 7:30 pm on a Saturday as my husband makes dinner because I can't stand still! This thing has me cursing like a sailor! I had been treating with coconut oil and was feeling much better, until I inserted this little egg of a thing! I thought this might just kick this YI out for good.... I will NEVER use this product again! And yes, it should be pulled! It's the absolutely awful!!! All I wanted to do tonight was enjoy a relaxing dinner with my hubby. Instead, my vagina is on FIRE!"

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I followed the directions, inserted the cream internally and externally to really cover all bases. 3 minutes had gone by and the intensity of the itching that began was like no other itching my vagina has ever itched. Being this is the first time I’m using this product I immediately think I’m having a bad reaction so I google side effects. Itching is listed. I then stumbled upon the reviews and I wish I had read these prior. Instant regret. The itching had become so severe. All I could do was focus on the itching while wiggling around on my couch trying to refrain from scratching. I was tempted to take a bath like many other reviewers had done but I’m glad I chose to ride it out. Within the hour the itching subsided and I know I have the correct dose in me. So if you found yourself here like I did by having a severe itch attack after applying - THERE IS HOPE that it will subside. My itch did. "

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night of using monistat 3 I had severe burning and itching right after inserting for about an hour until I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning still feeling the symptoms of my yeast infection. I was hesitant to take it the second night, but I did and I have to say, it went in comfortably and I had no disconforts the 2nd or 3rd night. If you experience the intense burning and itching then that means the medicine is working. It may hurt but it gets the job done Also try and keep in mind that typically happy users don’t take their time to go out of their way and review things saying how great they are; but unhappy users will most definitely find the time to post their review if they hate the product. That’s something I always keep in mind when reading reviews. I wanted to come on and share my experience so people don’t get scared away by all the horrific reviews on here lol"

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am not doing well. This is my second YI in my life and both times now I have used Monistat 3. The first time I inserted the product laying down and later got up and used the bathroom, which was a terrible mistake. The liquid started falling out of me and burned so bad I thought my vagina was on fire. I took a shower and spent 20 minutes trying to get all of the product out. I laid down again, scrolled through reviews and the burning stopped after an hour. Although I removed most the product early, the next day my vagina felt almost good as new. Fast forward to now (about a year later), I decided to give this product another try and not make the mistake of getting up after inserting. Unfortunately, standing up isn’t the problem. I have been laying down, with the insides of my vagina burning and itching for the past hour. My cooch feels like a hot pepper has been shoved up it. I am having a very tough time. Although this product works, I would not recommend it to others."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I made a whole account on here to share some advice. I'm on day 1 and everyone's right, the itching's positively unbearable. But there are somethings I did that helped the itching a LOT. Do not let any of this medicine out of your body. Or if it does cold cloth wipe it off immediately. Once this stuff gets on your outside bits it's a whole new kind of suffering. The internal symptoms were so insignificant in comparison for me, I didn't even notice the internal itching and burning whatsoever until after I learned to basically put a tissue over the top of my vag like a sink stopper. Just wanted to share some advice that might keep someone from ripping their labia off. It's been 7 hours. I feel amazing. The initial itching is awful, I didn't have much burning myself. But after about 2 hours after applying it I felt normal. Like I didn't have an infection at all. Definitely not excited for the next two days, but it's so worth it."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was on (2) antibiotics because of a toothache. The antibiotics caused a yeast infection. The day I noticed the infection was when it was painful to wipe. I went and purchased monistat 7 because it was low dosage over a few days which seemed reasonable because my infection did not seem severe. I used the inserted cream 7 nights straight, refrained from sex, and it cleared by the 6th day. It is uncomfortable at night. I was very fidgety, and the topical cream I only used twice because it felt too hot on me. The first two days after treatment, my vagina still felt wonky (medicine was still leaking) but there was no pain or itch. 3rd day after the 7 day treatment, everything is back to normal. Though super annoying, it was totally effective and worth it in my experience."

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was getting to the point I couldn’t stand my vagina so I forced my husband to fetch me the 3 day Monistat. I inserted the strange egg into my vagina and smeared the cream all over. About 5 minutes later I was trying to make tacos and a severe itch started followed by an intense burn. I thought it was in my head but it started increasing. My baby started crying during this climbing of the burn and I literally thought I was about to go insane. My heart was racing, I was sweating profusely, and I couldn’t think straight. My husband asked if I was okay and I had to literally abandon the tacos and baby to go into the bathroom and try and get this out. I guess it was the cream that caused this because getting most of it out the pain actually went away... Here I am 3 hours later and I actually feel great. My take is: it worked but you gotta commit and crawl through the depths of hell to get to the other side"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The email I just sent to the makers of Monistat: The itching and burning I am experiencing right now is excruciating. This is unacceptable. I have used Monistat products many times in the last 15 years, and I have never experienced anything like this torture. That I may have to go to my local emergency room to have my vaginal flushed out is beyond ridiculous. I have never hated a brand as much as I hate Monistat right now. After reading a very long, very recent thread of women who have had similar reactions, I think it is grossly negligent of your company to say that "mild" itchy and burning may occur. The only justice in the world would be for every male executive and product developer in your company to develop crotch rot inside their penis and be forced to use this product. Their female counterparts need to go straight to somewhere bad for pocketing their pay while Monistat victims writhe in pain and discomfort. I hate you people and I plan to make it my mission to let everyone woman know how disgusting, useless, and harmful your products are. Do not send me any coupons as an "We're sorry our product set your vagina ablaze with the venom of a billion tiny fire ants. Here is a discount for your next hot molten lava therapy kit." Do not dare."
