Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After taking antibiotic for BV, felt like I was getting a yeast infection so got Monistat 7. Used externally the first day which burned for a good while, then felt better. Inserted at bedtime and the burning started again. I have not used Monistat in many years, but I remember it as soothing, not painful. I don't know what they changed about it but they need to change it back. After about an hour the burning seems to have let up a little. From reading all the other reviews at least I know I'm not the only one who is aflame. On the up side, got a little comic relief from some of the reviews. Not that I think everyone's pain is funny, but some of the descriptions are very colorful. But seriously they need to fix this product because it didn't used to hurt so much. Update - the second night burning was not as bad. I think after the medication had a couple of days to heal me, the rawness from the infection was better and therefore less burning. The third night burning was very minimal."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was TERRIFIED of using Monistat after reading the comments but fortunately I didn't have the horrible burning. I had more problems getting the suppository inside. After about 2 mins it started itching but I just used the cream on the outside and all was good. I laid down and waited what seemed like forever for the burning to start but it didn't. I felt a few tingles but no burning. Just try it for yourself everybody is different"

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Read this all the way through please, I have used monistat plenty of time to tell you that IF IT IS BURNING THEN ITS NOT A YEAST INFECTION!!! It maybe as STI or just an ordinary bacterial infection like BV and you should go to your doctor. Monistat works for me. And I’m not say this like I’m an expert on yeast and vaginas, but I know that Monistat ONLY works on yeast, and that alone.."

Monistat 1 Combination Pack (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The only thing getting me through this literal nightmare of a situation is reading these comments and knowing I’m not alone. I took Monistat 1 when I was younger and I’m not sure if my pain tolerance has lowered after child birth.. or if they changed the formula but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Unless you want to be up at 2 am holding your self with a wash rag trying to search ways to get the demon out of you."

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a yeast infection before and used monistat 1 which is the pill like insertion and it was heaven it went away so fast no burning no smearing no discomfort. This time I got the infection again like 2 years later and I got monistat 7 and oh my goodness it's a literal living nightmare. It makes it sooo itchy and I was squirming for like 10 mins because I couldn't stand the irritation I had to wipe it completely off and I'm trying to pee it out because it's making it worse. I would never recommend monistat 7 to anybody always monistat 1 ladies!!!"

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is INSANE!!! The excruciating burning and swelling I am going thru is 10 times worse than itching and burning from the infection. There is no way in high heaven that a female doctor had anything to do with this menace to vaginas everywhere. I am laying in bed after trying to shower out as much of this off as I could and now with an ice-pack directly in between my legs!! This should not even be on the market anymore because I've been reading these awful reviews from last year. What the heck?? Monistat take us SERIOUSLY!!! Do NOT use this product if you value your sanity and not into self torture."

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get yeast infections frequently and I have always just used generic brands and I never had a bad experience. Yesterday I bought Monistat for the first time ever and I will never ever use it again because it put me in so much pain. Usually I just insert the generic brand and go right to sleep but not even a minute I started feeling a burning/scratching and it kept getting worse. I wasn’t even scratching myself and my lady bits started to swell. I tried to get as much as I could out of me and then the only reason I was able to fall asleep was because I laid a cold compress on myself. I even woke up this morning and right away I felt fine until I went to the bathroom and the burning sensation started again and I started to swell. I will never use this product again and I don’t think any women should. Any girl reading this you need to just get a generic brand because you will get rid of your YI pain free."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Thank God for this forum because without it I wouldn't have survived. I thought the problem was me. Day 1 was torture but Day 2?! I was up until 3 am, squatting with legs spread, clenching my vagina in a sad attempt to squeeze the cream out somehow because I was pretty sure that itch would somehow end my life. Itching only subsided after wrapping a chunk of ice in a washcloth and holding it between my legs (and praying). Day 3 of night treatment and the itch is hitting again, but most of the day I haven't had itching or burning, so it WORKS, thank God. I have an ice pack between my legs as I type this, reading through these posts and meditating in an attempt to distract myself from the most insane itch I'll probably ever experience. Having a vagina is not for the weak. Stay steadfast soldiers, at least it's getting better. I'll be doing the 7-day for sure next time though cause I'm not strong enough for the 3-day dosage."

The burning and itching intensified by 10000 five minutes after inserting it and is VERY SLOWLY calming down and it’s driving me insane! I wish I would have read the reviews first. Not recommended "

I have been questioned why there is smoke and I must say it is coming from my Verushka. A tribe has shown up at my house believing there was a smoke signal. It is 1:16AM and the fire department has sent in backup."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have read through many comments. I have been using monistat products for years. It takes THREE days. No matter which product you are using, for a yeast infection to start clearing up and 7 days for completion. So whether you are using a pill, egg, cream, garlic, oil or oregano.. three days. Upon insertion on first day, you will get backlash fire pits of hell feeling. This is the medication attacking the yeast infection. It will burn, sting, throb, swell your lips and itch 10 times more. Do your treatments at night. Wear a thin panty liner. Use the lotion 3 times a day. Be brave..lol come on ladies."

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "WHEW BABY! The first hour made my knees buckle; it felt like ants were moving under the skin of my goodies. I didn't rinse it out because I knew that meant it was working (I've used this before a few years back). Reading these reviews helped me laugh through the discomfort. An hour or so later, it tingles a little bit, but it's manageable. I no longer have the desire and ache to claw out my insides. Stick with it!!!"

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, this is pretty much my first experience with a YI, earlier this month my doctor found BV and Yeast under the microscope, and she gave me medicine for both. I had sex with my partner after all of my treatments and symptoms had gone, and literally my YI came back, but it was slight burning, cottage cheese like discharge, with no smell or no itching; so to save me a trip, I purchased the 3 day Monistat. I took a shower, inserted the tube, and it was soothing at first, I applied the itch cream even though I didn’t have any itching. About 10 minutes later I felt burning all over and around my vagina, it subsided maybe like 1 hour or so later, but then it started itching like crazy in the inside of my vagina, like I wanted to itch; now it’s calming down again... I will wait to see what my symptoms are like in the morning, but I probably won’t use this again, as it increased my YI symptoms, or created symptoms that were never there in the first place."

Monistat 1 Combination Pack (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product last night and after about an hour I was in SEVERE discomfort. The burning was like nothing I experienced before, my skin down there was on fire, really painful. I can’t believe that a medication to treat itching and burning could be so abrasive. I eventually took OTC pain meds ( ibuprofen and Tylenol) and cold compress to get to sleep. Today is better, and the original itching is basically gone. But you really have to go through the fire to get to the relief. Hope the folks as Monistat will work on a gentler formulation that would be just as effective."

Monistat (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Truly would not wish this type of pain on my worst enemy. It’s currently 4 am and my “cookie” is on fire. I’ve been up for hours and I can’t go back to sleep because the discomfort is so bad. I used the 3 day Monistat with hopes of it actually healing me but I most definitely screwed up. I don’t think my yeast infection is gone and my cookie is probably ruined forever. Not sure how this product is on shelves and also unsure how google sites actually recommended this flame throwing product to women. I haven’t had a yeast infection before so I thought this type of pain was somewhat normal. Turns out Monistat is just utter garbage and wants our cookies to burn to char. If you’re thinking about using Monistat you may as well just take some poison ivy and a match to your cookie. You’ll feel about the same."

Monistat 1 Combination Pack (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat should be ashamed for putting this on shelves I took it at about 10pm and woke up at midnight feeling like someone had sprayed an entire can of pepper spray to my vagina then lit a match. I literally googled “unbearable burning itching and pain after Monistat”. DO NOT USE IT. I am writing this review while laying in the shower Vagina up trying to rinse this god forsaken stuff out of my vagina"

Monistat 3 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had to take a 7 day course of antibiotics for a UTI and started noticing that dreaded itch and pain down yonder. I decided since this has happened in the past, to use the tube filled cream inserts. At first it was uncomfortable just sticking anything up there, but I didn’t feel any worse. I went to bed and woke up around 2:30am to pee, but when I got back into bed, HOLY MOLY! I’m guessing being upright and sitting on the toilet let some of the cream run down and NO ONE IS EXAGGERATING!! I thought someone doused my insides with acid! I've sat here reading and laughing at all your reviews in between pulsating rounds of hell knowing I was not insane all the while clutching at my vag trying hard not to scream in pain. It’s now 4am and although sleep deprived and traumatized, the burning and pain has subsided gradually. Stick it out if you can, if not, you’ll eventually pass out from the pain and get some sleep "

Monistat 7 (miconazole) for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After inserting I did my nightly routine and went to sleep. Woke up at midnight to pee. I forgot I had the medicine in. Omgoodness that pee was the worse pain ever. Felt like I was peeing out lava. Wiping hurt too. I went back to bed with burning! Slight cramping. Now I have used this product before. It's only day 1 and I can't sleep. My estimate is, that it's because its raw inside my hooha, due to the YI. That could explain the burning. Thankfully I'm not itching as much. The pain is a solid 8.5 and I'm gonna take some advil. Hopefully that eases the pain a bit. This time I WILL complete the full 7 days. Good luck to me and whoever else is dealing with this!!!!!"
