MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "After reading all the comments I feel weird , I’m on my last night of metrogel that is a course of 5 nights. I’ve had no side effects at all since I started, just some little chunks of discharge when I pee, no headaches, no cramping, no blood, no bad side effects at all , works great! Insert the gel before I sleep when I’m ready to get in bed"

MetroGel (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I have found that Metrogel works wonders for me. It made a difference the first time I applied it! (Applied at night, woke up in the morning with noticeably clearer skin.) It is recommended to use it twice a day but I just apply it once, at night (because it causes a filmy layer over the skin and I wouldn't want to go out in public like that!) and that seems to be enough for me."

MetroGel (metronidazole) for Rosacea "Have been diagnosed with Rosacea that I have had apparently for years, was not willing to seek medical advice and treatment due to money concerns. Two and 1/2 years since my last consulting with Dr. And all I can say is I am amazed at the results topically applied Metronidazole gel has given me. I am grateful for being able to shave my face without feeling like it was a blood sacrifice. Only one regret, why didn't I do it sooner. :) happier now"

Rozex (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I never had a pimple in my life, I could literally put any cream on my face I'd be fine , I didn't need much make up either, my face was super clear and glowing until 2 years ago when for no reason I developed strange rash, burning and itching was terrible, I thought it might be some allergic reaction to cosmetics and after a hundreds of $ spent on different creams I finally went to a doctor and he diagnosed me with rosacea. He prescribed the cream not the gel. At first I was sceptic because I didn't know how will I menage not to use a daily moisturiser but then this cream works as moisturiser too I literally didn't need anything else. Two weeks after my face cleared up. Yes cream is expensive but you only need a tiny amount so it can literally last for months, it was so worth it. I'm still on it I'm due to stop using it in a month so I'll see how I go without it fingers crossed, at least I know now what it works. This cream was a saviour I strongly recommend it!"

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "I used metrogel for 5 nights. It worked great. The itching and burning were relieved the very first night I took it. I did have to do a sixth dose two nights after the fifth night because the symptoms came back slightly but since then I have been fine. That was a week ago and since then no problems at all. The only home remedies I had tried were the probiotics, folic acid, vitamin D and vitamin C. I also ate a lot of plain yogurt. I think the vitamins and yogurt worked to give temporary relief but ultimately it was the Metrogel that did the trick. Crossing my fingers I don't have a relapse. I decided to use the gel and not the pills so the drugs don't have to go through your whole body. The gel just attacks the problem at the source."

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "This medication Metrogel vag worked better than I expected, based on some other reviews. The smell was gone by day 3 of the 5 day treatment. I am about 2 weeks post treatment and am BV free. I avoided using it for a month or so due to the side effect horror stories (vomiting, headache, pain, yeast infection, etc). However, I had nearly 0 effects. The only side effects I experienced was discharge and cramping similar to period cramps, which was worth it to me to get rid of the embarrassing BV symptoms."

MetroCream (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I have found Metrocream to be very effective in combating symptoms of rosacea, especially the pimple like lesions I get around my nose & chin area. I use only when needed and notice after just a couple of applications a dramatic improvement."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I’ve struggled with BV for about 2 years. I went and got diagnosed very quickly after the symptoms first started. I was prescribed the gel for 5 days. Of course I went to look up some reviews. I was completely horrified at what I read. So much so that I didn’t take the medicine and just tried to deal with the BV naturally. However after two years I was fed up and just took it. I HAD NO CRAZY SIDE SYMPTOMS AT ALL. I was so angry with myself for not taking this medicine sooner. Although I appreciate people telling their experiences with this drug remember that ever body responds to things differently. Your body could very well had no side effects what so ever and you can be free of the BV. While I was taking it I had a white clumpy discharge but the odor was gone after first dosage. If you have BV take the medicine. Surround yourself at home with positive people or positive thoughts if you have anxiety about medicine like I do."

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "The first time I got BV the doc prescribed Clindamycin , and a month later it came rite back ,, then he prescribed me Flagyl and a month later it still came back as well... I felt like less of a woman bc of this . I thought that I would never have a sex life again and i was hysterical. then he prescribed me the MetroGel and after the first use , symptoms were gone . I was like a kid in the candy store. he prescribed me like 4 refills for if it comes back. I made sure that he gave me enough refills. I love it so far and I have a prescription for past 5 nights to make sure it doesn't come back ! this works ,,, I love it , better than the pills !"

MetroGel (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I am 63 and never had a skin condition... Ever. Heat, stress, lack of sleep all contributed to a redness to my face. Now it cracks and peels and swells. I started metronidazoleb and it clears up in two days. Put non oily lotion over the top and I can put makeup on. Yeah"

For Rosacea "Nope nope nope. Metronidazole barely helps the bumps of rosaea and I can’t use it even once a week or it burns and really makes the redness worse. I think this cream actually permanently spread my rosacea somehow. Terrible & don’t know how this is still on the market."

MetroGel (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I had flushing rosacea for years before it was diagnosed. Then I spent years trying one medication after another to control it but due to side effects could not take them. About 2 years ago I was prescribed MetroGel. It has changed my life. The persistent flushing and burning are almost completely gone. I still wear sunscreen and a hat when outside but now I can read at night and watch TV with the lights on."

For Rosacea "I saw a new dermatologist for an unrelated condition. He walked in and after introducing himself asked how long I had had rosacea. Um, rosacea? My face is "ruddy" most of the time and I blush ALL the time, but I didn't know I had rosacea. "Yeah, see the little bumps on your cheeks? We can take of that, if you want," he said. He prescribed Metronidazole 0.75% Cream 2x daily and recommended using Head and Shoulders on my face in the shower daily. I did it, and within a week the redness, blushing, and tiny bumps were completely gone. The Metronidazole stung slightly when I first applied it, and my face felt dry. But after two days, it's painless and the dryness has gone away. Actually, the Metronidazole is my moisturizer regime :) I don't use a lot - just a few dabs on my cheeks and forehead. This stuff is a miracle for rosacea associated with tiny bumps on the face (which you might think are part of your natural skin - they are not)."

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "This is my 4th time getting BV, I don’t use crazy soaps down there or do anything crazy so I'm not sure why I keep getting it. I tried the pill version of the metronidazole medicine but it made me literally throw up every meal, so now I'm using the gel. This is my 4th day and I've been getting tiny, but many, white clumps of discharge. Not clear, completely white. I'm not sure what this is but I hope it goes away. I went to an urgent care a few days ago for the BV and UTI and Doc said my cervix was inflamed and told me to get a pap smear. I have an appointment Monday, keep in mind I'm only 18. Gel made odor go away but weird discharge."

Rozex (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I have been using this gel for just over a month now for my Acne Rosacea. I only have it on one cheek with lots of bumps. After using it for about 2 weeks, I’ve started seeing a great difference! No more acne and the redness has reduced so much! My doctor said it would take about 2 months to see a proper change, but I’m already so happy with the result!"

MetroGel (metronidazole) for Rosacea "I have had chronic Rosacea for at least the past 30 or more years, but only on my nose, and I have treated it with MetroGel cream each morning after I shower. There have been no side effects, and it has controlled the Rosecea to the point where I have no redness or symptoms. As a retired Air Force officer and pilot on Medicare, and with acccess to military pharmacies and now TRICARE for Life, my costs are zero."

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "I’m not gonna lie ... I was so scared to take this medicine because of the review. TERRIFIED. Let me start off by saying I took this same medicine in pill form back in August 2019 and from what I remember, it did make me super nauseous. And I was taking other medication at the time so that also didn’t help. But right now I’m on this gel for 5 days at nighttime. I put in a full applicator last night and after 5 minutes, it felt a little tingly but it went away instantly. This morning, nothing came out to my surprise! Pee looks a little darker, I also feel a little bloated. But nothing crazy! I’m also on fluconazole. Hopefully this goes away by the time I’m done taking the gel cause it’s super annoying, especially when you have to go to work. I’ll update my progress!"

Nuvessa (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "So I’ve tried nuvessa now for the second time . It’s works but once I start having consistent sex the BV will return ... it seems like once you are prone to getting BVit just keeps coming back they need to come up with something that makes it just disappear completely"

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "When I use Metro-gel, I don't have to worry about bacterial vaginitis coming back easily. It helps faster, and it's very effective. When I take the oral medicines, bacterial vaginitis recurs within weeks. That can be a major pain. The only bummer is the yeast infection that can sometimes occur."

MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole) for Bacterial Vaginosis "I had bacterial vaginitis. It was very unpleasant as one would expect. My Dr. prescribed Metrogel and Diflucan. Did the gel for three nights. About two weeks later itch occurred, so I took the Diflucan. I've had bacterial vaginitis twice and subsequently, a yeast infection. Metrogel diflucan combo worked great for me. Gave an 8/10 because I got a yeast infection after the bacterial vaginitis treatment; but Diflucan cleared it up."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was a little worried to take this medication because of reviews but my provider assured me the gel had fewer side effects than the oral pills. I wanted to be symptom free ASAP so despite my hesitation I gave it a shot. As others stated I did have some very minor discharge but otherwise zero side effects whatsoever. I have anxiety and am prone to migraines and have other medical issues and I can honestly say I'm glad for this medication. It worked very well and started working right away and within only 2 days I noticed my symptoms practically gone. I'm very grateful. I would absolutely use this again with zero hesitation. If you're reading reviews afraid to try this, don't be."

Rozex (metronidazole) for Rosacea "After only 1 week applying the gel on my nose and cheeks I have an upper respiratory problem, runny nose and feel horrible. One week. My cheeks burned and itched. I am a nurse and will NEVER use this gel again. My doctor's response was nil..so much for medical professionals understanding side affects of meds they prescribe. Runny nose, watery eyes, upper respiratory discomfort. This product is HORRIBLE. And, why must I accept the Drugs.com Terms and Conditions??"
