Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) "I'm going through the same issue. I've been on the depo shot for about a month and it's been non stop bleeding. It's so annoying. My libido is so low and my husband is so upset. I'm also gaining weight like crazy. My obgyn recommended me to be on the IUD but I don't trust it since it fails. I don't recommend it to anybody its torture"

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) "After months of bleeding, some extremely heavy, I went for an ultrasound and eventual polypectomy, and D&C. I'm 52, I should mention. They found precancerous cells and prescribed Provera 20mg a day until further notice. I've been taking this for a month already. Side effects: dizziness, loss of appetite, stomach upset. After the procedure, I was bleed-free for 3 days and then it started again. It's getting progressively worse, and today I passed a clot the size of a loonie (Canadian). Praying the oncologist suggests a hysterectomy."

Provera (medroxyprogesterone) "I’m on this for early stage womb cancer. An attempt to salvage my womb & reverse the growth of tissue with cancer in it. First 2 weeks was fine. I slept well & felt calm. After 2 weeks, I began getting vaginal cramping and pelvic cramping/jabbing sensation. I then got a period which lasted for around 2.5 to 3 weeks. I read that this is the uterus lining breaking down & being expelled. I have also read the uterus lining will rebuild. I’m getting spotting / blood every day. I’m not sure if this is normal or indicative of something to worry about?! Having read comments on here, no other women have taken Provera for the same condition as me. Most women go for hysterectomy straight away. The Provera is working fine for me… the vagina & urethra have become super sensitive. The pelvic pain continues. I assume this is a side effect. I feel lethargic every day, another side effect."
