For Constipation "I have had chronic constipation since I was a kid that only got worse with age. I'm 29 now, I poop about once a week on my 'regular' days...and after a glass of Metamucil, 4 Fleet suppositories, 2 glasses of prune juice and enough grapes to make you sick. We called up a nurse friend who said, "This WILL work." My biggest issue seems to be that I suffer from dehydration, all the time... so drinking one glass of water before taking this wasn't enough to start my engines... so after some nausea, hours of anxiety 3 glasses of water, 7 1/2 hours later I was able to get some movement. There was 2 poops with the usual grating struggle, then by the 3rd round, it was like I poured a pint out of my butt. In one hour I pooped/poured 10 times!"

For Constipation "Lemon magnesium citrate was very good when I was blocked up. Instructed to take entire bottle for a clean out. I had no problem as it was easy to take due to such a good flavor. No side effects at all. Took an hour & a half to start the process & finished after 4/5 hours. This was a one time thing prescribed by my dr."

For Constipation "I have always struggled with constipation. I also can’t eat gluten and get pretty sick when I do, so I use this if I accidentally eat some. So I’ve gotten it down to a T. 1. Get 2 tubes of bum ointment. Trust me you will thank me later! 2. Get some cheap baby wipes (or flushable ones like Charmins) 3. Get some books or make sure your phone/tablet is charged. 4. Get Gatorade or something hydrating. Make sure all your supplies are convenient and by the toilet. Take the day off of work. I couldn’t imagine going downstairs while on this let alone the car. I like the lemon flavor. I put it over a lot of ice and drink quickly with a straw. I take a whole 10oz but I like to make sure it’s all out so... with me there no cramping. Just some gurgles and intense urges. No pain. It also takes about 10 hours for it to work (for me! Others it takes 10 minutes so leave a long window open for staying home). This is the only thing that helps with me."

For Constipation "I read all of the reviews on this medicine but it took 6 hrs for it to work on me! And still working today. Thanks for the info on the 'gurgle' when you hear that-start running to the bathroom! But it does work and I plan to keep some on hand if this happens to me again."

For Constipation "I have been having trouble pooping in over a week now. My stomach is bloated and I have pain. I had a MRCP done and an Ultrasound plus obstruction x rays done today. I drank a bottle of magnesium citrate yesterday Friday around 5 pm and as of yet haven't went . I had to use a fleet enigma to get some movement. My stomach looks like I'm pregnant. I am waiting until Monday or Tuesday to find out if I had a blockage in my intestines. Very much in pain . Please pray for me. I went through this 3 years ago and they never found the problem."

For Constipation "I used this for constipation. I drank an entire 10 oz. bottle around 4pm, then had several glasses of water. I had very mild cramping and lots of stomach sounds all evening/night. No BM until the following morning around 9am. Diarrhea, but no cramps. Had 1 more episode of diarrhea, but not a lot. Still feel a little constipated and quite bloated though. I am a 125lb. female so I thought, especially after reading other reviews, that I would have a very strong reaction from this stuff. It worked OK, but nothing crazy for me."

For Constipation "A few months ago when I had a knee surgery, the immobility and opioids stopped me up for about 5 days even with laxatives. Only 2 saline enemas could clear me up. This time around, despite not having those same factors, I was also constipated for about a week. When I tried an enema again, somehow it didn't work - pretty sure the liquid itself didn't even come back out. So my gastro recommended this magnesium citrate instead. I took the whole 10 oz bottle (lime) along with about 16 oz of water over the course of 40 min. Within less than an hour of me finishing, I began to "pee out of my butt." It was very relieving to finally get poop out and not have to worry about an intestinal blockage. Definitely heed the warnings about staying close to a toilet, and getting yourself nice products for your butt. The amount of pooping I have been doing for 6+ hours now has my butt on fire! But I think it's worth it for the constipation relief.."

For Constipation "Ever since I was diagnosed with IBS I try to avoid dairy so I won't explode like I am now, clearly I have an issue with it. Well for whatever reason as of late dairy consumption has constipated me to high heaven. Decided after a week in a half of frustratingly small bowel movements and a TON of straining it was time to drink the "poop juice" as I call it. Within 45 minutes I had to SPRINT to the bathroom and my god didn't think I'd make it in time. It's now been a few hours and I only really left the bathroom twice. Found it easier to just stay on the toilet. Im now reading everyone's reviews because i needed something to pass the time and these are usually hilarious! If the poop juice doesn't work for you go to a about doctor or ER!!"

For Constipation "I took this at 9.30 and by 12.30 I woke up and it was time to go! I had been constipated for 8 days and I'm ten weeks pregnant. Dr said it was safe so....but man oh man...be careful because it turns your stool to nothing but liquid."

For Constipation "Was constipated for 5 days after taking prescribed narcotics for bruised ribs. Doctor recommended it. Didn't taste half bad and drank a glass of water after. Didn't feel anything for about 5 hours, then my stomach felt gassy and then boom. So much relief and I didn't have to push to hard (since my ribs are bruised)."

For Constipation "So, the taste (doctor recommended the lemon flavor, but I'm feeling like I should have went with cherry instead) is similar to that of rancid vinegar. As soon as I chugged the 10oz bottle I began feeling really sick to my stomach. I even vomited. After about 30 minutes to an hour I decided I had enough. My stomach started churning and before I knew it I was running to the bathroom. I stayed glued to the toilet seat for a good hour. Basically rinse and repeat that for the duration of 5 or 6 hours. The remainder of the medicine just leaves my stomach feeling terrible and noisy. Good medicine, bad side-effects."

For Constipation "I'm not normally constipated, very rarely..and if I just drink coffee, or more water. This time something was different about this constipation. My stool wouldn't budge. I could feel it at the bottom of my anus, but the stool just wouldn't come out. I took a stool softener/laxative. It didn't work overnight..mild movement, but I still could not produce a stool.D o yourself a favor and go to the drug store, and get magnesium citrate. I was very uncomfortable, grinding my teeth. I took this within 15 minutes of purchase, I drank half of it, as noted by the doctor and it started working immediately and wonderfully."

For Constipation "Well I did chugged the whole 10oz bottle, around 5 during the day and now it’s 11:25 and I have not stopped but this works 100% but I don’t recommend doing the whole bottle, I should’ve done half honestly but things happen for a reason"

"This magnesium citrate took overnight to work for me but worked well. I had no pain or cramping just some bloating and nausea. I took it @ 9:30 @ night followed by a glass of warm water. I got up around midnight to drink another glass. I started going around 7:30 the next morning. If you have an impacted stool, be aware that you still have to give birth to that thing from your butt. And yes, it hurts. But once it’s gone, you will pass every food you have eaten since you came out of the birth canal. This is one of the easier bowel preps. It will clean you out and it does work provided you take it on an empty stomach and drink plenty of water. Soft toilet paper, baby wipes and some vaseline helps. Your cinnamon ring will thank you. Good luck."

For Constipation "Im a person that goes religiously .. ( literally 3x a day or more ] .. So I was stopped up for 4 days.. You can imagine, I was in HELL. I texted my father in desperation at 2am asking for advice .. He didn't respond, but he showed up to my house the next day ( 6/29/15 ] with a bottle of Cherry flavored MC.. When he told me I had to drink the entire thing, I damn near cried. I took it at about 6pm & by 7:30, I was feeling gurgling in my stomach & literally 15 minutes afterwords, I went to the bathroom & immediately started feeling better .. Unfortunately, I'm currently over here cautious as hell about passing any type of gas .. I should be good by 6am though. I think 12 hours is more than enough time. MC is def. a good choice."

For Constipation "I was afraid I was very constipated when my abdomen was bloated and hard and my back and abdomen hurt. I tried drinking the magnesium citrate and chasing it with a drink of something that didn’t taste horrible. I tried this with out drinking water afterwards and it had worked in the past, but I’m telling you that you really have to force yourself to drink a couple glasses of water. If you do not have diarrhea after this then it didn’t work. I don’t know how but I drank this bottle and nothing happened. Definitely drink this bottle at home alone and have a day to not do much. But my best advice is drink water with it ."

For Constipation "So I drunk the whole bottle of Magnesium Citrate and after 30 mins of using it, my stomach started hurting so bad! I immediately ran to the toilet and sat there but nothing came out just excruciating pain!!! Then I started pushing and it was kind of hard to pass then all of a sudden it started coming out like an ice cream machine! After about an 30 mins of that! It started coming out like diarrhea! I thought I was finished and stepped out for a second I heard my stomach making a loud noise and I ran to the bathroom and gravy water started coming out!! Like I’m peeing out my butt! I kid you not! I’ve been doing this for 6 hours now, but just gravy water! I thought it was over and I ate dinner then my stomach rumbled again & I knew to run to the rest room! As soon as I plopped onto the toilet gravy water!!! I do feel lighter, but my goodness I need to get ready for work but I can’t because I’m stuck on the toilet! Not sure if I’ll recommend just yet!!"

For Constipation "I have a history of constipation. A permanent injury years ago forces me to have to take high doses of pain medication, plus I have an implanted pain pump. I've also had double hernia surgery, and have IBS, so sometimes pooping can be a big problem. I started taking Magnesium Citrate softgels a few months ago and they really seem to help a lot. Prior to taking them I was having to take pericolace tablets, ducolax, as well as, use a glycerin suppository, and still had issues going but now as long as I take the MC softgels daily, and drink adequate water all goes according to plan. I have in the past had colon preps and had to drink the MC liquid and YUCK LOL so the soft gel, or capsules are the way to go for me."

For Constipation "I was constipated for 2 days. Had the urge to go but the stool would not budge! I was having so much anxiety and abdominal discomfort I just wanted to cry. ran out to Walgreens to buy a bottle of the grape version. Downed around 8oz of the bottle around 12:30 pm with a big glass of water. Went to bed and around 4:30 am I woke up with the urge to go. I ended up straining and only pooping out a little pellet. Disappointed and nauseous I went back to sleep. Woke up at around 8amdrank the rest of the 10oz bottle with another glass of water and about 30 min after that my tummy began to gurgle & I had the urge to go , I pushed just a little and boom! Feeling so much better! MC for the win!!"

For Constipation "I took Magesum Citrate (about 7 oz) before I went to bed and woke up ready to release. This is very effective, though it can take a while, and personally, it was pretty hard to down the bottle. The taste isn't bad, I actually kind of liked it, but it was very sweet and stayed in my mouth, not anything too dis comforting however. Overall, this works like a charm, but it can be hard to swallow and works slower than other medica tions for constipation."

For Constipation "I used this product today. I have been backed for a few days now. At first I thought it would water down my stool, for the most part it didn't. It was painful to use the bathroom since my stool was hard. I still feel queasy. Hate the feeling. However, after taking OTC stool softners, prune juice, and teas...I decided to give this a try and take half the bottle. With in a few hours I felt like if I was having a baby without epidural. The night is young and it might still help me throughout the night. However, with it being NY Eve, it sucks that I have to ring in the new year this way. I chose a bad day. This product is not for the faint of heart. Be ready."

For Constipation "I've had a sluggish bowel due to medication, I tried all sorts of laxatives, even enemas, with no results. This is the best stuff to clean you out. I have to take the whole bottle for it to work, I've tried just half the bottle, no success with that. But, with 1 bottle and about 8 hours, this does the trick. I use it about once a month."

For Constipation "I hadn’t been able to poop in about a week only had small yet painful movements here and there. It got so bad last night I literally went to the hospital because of severe abdominal pain and the feeling of dizziness as if I was gonna pass out. They took a CT scan, came back for just some constipation and the doctor recommended lemon lime mag citrate. Holy Moly. I took it around 8:40 pm which may have been a blessing and a curse because it kicked in around 1:45 am and it’s now 2:25 in the morning and still going. I was pretty skeptical about this working given the amount of pain I’d previously gone through, but the relief this has brought me is immense. I had just a little more than half the bottle (about 6 oz) and on a slightly empty stomach it seemed to do the trick. Definitely recommend for someone who’s going through the same scenario as I’ve been"

For Constipation "So as of right now. I'm sitting in the bath room. Making this review. I started this whole thing yesterday. I got a bottle for .98 at wally world. I drank a little less than half. Waited 6 hours nothing. I drank the other half about 3am fell asleep. Nothing all day till about 2:45 I think the part of the impaction the was blocking me is out now it's just cleaning me ALL THE WAY OUT. I dislike the part.of in,and out the restroom. Me sitting here is doing nothing. I have to move around to keep it coming. So lets hope it's all out. Lol I would say this is a pretty good stuff if you're impacted or constipated but go ahead and just drink the whole bottle and get it done and over with instead of drinking half and waiting."
