For Allergic Rhinitis "It takes hours and hours to kick in. I even took 2 to speed up my relief and 3 hours later I'm still suffering. Zyrtec works within 30 min and lasts 24 hours. I will never take claritin again when I need immediate relief."

For Urticaria "I gave My daughter Claritin 5mg twice a day following doctors orders along with amoxicillin, she is 10 after taking it for 8 days she started to break out with rash , I took her back to dr she then ordered benedryl for the rash within 5 hrs that rash turned into wells all over her body , it was hot to touch and itchy also she went to ear the next day because of the severity of her condition at that point, ER dr gave her steroid to help with her pain and trying to eliminate the rash , well it's 4 days later and she still has the condition, dr says she has urticaria or Steven Johnson syndrome , so now my daughter and I have to wait day by day and watch her for any new breakouts"

For Allergic Rhinitis "I took Claritin on two occasions to alleviate stuffy head colds and runny nose. I took 2 pills, one each on successive days about a month apart, and a day after taking them experienced both times a bloody nose. I am an older adult and haven't had a bloody nose since I was a child."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I was expecting this to have some sort of side effect, but it’s just given me more of a placebo effect. I do have trouble sleeping, but it’s because I sleep with a toddler in my bed, am a very light sleeper, and my mind is always racing over stupid stuff like my most recent heartbreak, so I would not attribute my sleep issues to Claritin, nor am I more or less thirsty than usual. It does seem to do something subtle and lessen the severity of my allergies, but honestly I don’t notice much difference. What I plan to do is get a Nettie pot, steam inhaler, and air purifier and have them be a part of my daily regimen. I used to surf and be in the saltwater daily and my lifestyle has changed. It is only since I stopped surfing, that I am an allergy sufferer! So I believe salt water is the cure and keeping active and drinking tons of water."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Everyone in my family has allergies. We recently moved into an old house and cleaned what needed to be cleaned and we stopped Claritin because it was no longer helping us. Allergies were situational. That being said the one time it genuinely helped me was when I burnt my throat from vomiting and sore throat at the same time and I NEEDED a dry mouth because of excess saliva from injury. I found Claritin made everyone in my family snore too but possibly that happened before taking it. I would say it interacts with other meds that make you drowsy even though websites say it doesn't."

For Allergic Rhinitis "This product doesn’t work at all on me and it’s 24 hours so I can’t take another pill to help me. Currently my sinuses are so stuffed I can’t breathe"

For Allergic Rhinitis "I have taken Claritin for a number of years now. I have year round allergies and severe in season. I only take this when needed - I am not the take it as a preventative type. My experience is that Claritin is effective if taken on an empty stomach and when my allergies are on the mild to moderate side. If they are severe, it does not help."
