Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I was in 2 minds whether to change from the pill to the implant, I've always been quite bad with missing pills and I don't plan on having children any time soon so I thought the implant would be a good option. There are so many bad reviews which put me off however, my doctor reassured me that everyone is different and suggested that I try Cerazette, which is a Progestogen-only pill and is similar to the implant. This way I could see how my body reacted to this form of contraception for 1 month but it would be easier to come off it if I didn't get on very well. After the month I was really happy with Cerazette so I had the implant fitted. A year on I haven't had 1 period and no side effects, I'm so glad I went ahead and tried it.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I was a little nervous to have Implanon, because I had read some reviews that were less than great. However, for the year I have had this birth control I have not really had a bad experience at all! I've had about 6 periods, and all but one have been super light (like barely there) and had lasted about 2-3 days. I had one period so far that did last about 2 weeks, which was kind of annoying, but was still very, very light. My only other complaint is that before I get my period I do have PMS, starting about 2 weeks before I start the period. My skin breaks out a bit, and I feel a bit moody and bloated, but that's all. Other than that, it's a great birth control, and I like not having to worry about getting pregnant or taking a pill everyday!
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I got Implanon put in Feb 2013, while I was on my cycle. My cycle stopped when it was supposed to. About two weeks later I bled constant. The Implanon caused me
to have many side effects. I got depressed, anxiety, sad and hormonal. And I bled constantly until May. Everyone is different and everyone's body responds in a good or bad way. After having it removed I'd say I'm 99 percent better.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: Had this put in after my second child and I love it. I thought it would be terrible getting it put in but it was a breeze. I've had it for 3 months now and don't have any side effects. For the first 2 months I did spot every day but that has gone away now.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had my implanon since june 2010, and I am getting my new one next week. I had it put in after my second daughter and she is 3 yrs old and it's been great. Only thing I can say is the first couple of months your period may act a little crazy but after that once a month very light periods.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've only had Implanon for a short period of time but I've had none of the side effects some of these girls are having. No acne and it actually helped me lose weight. I was afraid after all these reviews I would gain but it helped me get off of my plateau!
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: It's the most effective for not falling pregnant. I heard people getting pregnant on everything but the Implanon. It's 99.9% effective. I had fun with it. No kids and all the fun you can have. I have one child when I was 16 and got the Implanon right after I had him. I was too young and need to make sure I have no more for a while. When I get in my late 20s I will have another child but for now no. I'm 19 and too young.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I have had the Implanon birth control for over a year and I have no complaints about not having a period or losing weight. This is truly the best choice I think I have made as a mother of one, and being only 20 years old the long term birth control was the route for me.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had Implanon since January 29th of this year. I switched from the shot to this and I absolutely LOVE it. The shot made me gain about 50 pounds (109-155) in 1 year of use. Since I have been on Implanon I have lost 25 pounds! The only complaint I have with it is, spotting. It is very light, off and on, not as annoying as a regular period. I hope it will stop soon.
I definitely recommend Implanon!
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I love it! No major side effects. No more worrying about condoms or taking a birth control pill.
I didn't gain weight. I workout 5-6 times weekly and eat healthy. Plus Implanon doesn't make you gain weight. It makes you have a bigger appetite. So if you can control the urge to eat when you want. You wont gain weight.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I have found the Implant to be amazing! Have had two so far so have experienced nearly 6 years of the contraception. With the implant you never have to worry, I have never experienced any issues. I have not put on weight, lost my sex drive or experienced heavy periods. In fact, I have no periods which does slightly worry me however I have been assured that this is a normal symptom and I am not complaining at this. It is quite uncomfortable when changed as they do have a habit of embedding into the arm tissue causing a lot of prodding by the nurse but this is not a painful transition.

Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I have had Implanon in for about a month, I enjoy it because I don't have to remember to protect myself with the pill. However I have been bleeding since it was put in, not heavy bleeding just annoyed with having to wear a tampon everyday, BUT I have 3 kids and cannot afford another! I have not gained any weight but I also exercise 4 to 5 times a week! It's a great birth control so far! I definitely recommend it to woman who already have kids (life gets hectic and you tend to forget to take pills, etc.).
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I am getting this removed as soon as possible. I have only had it in for a few weeks now but I just can not handle what it is doing to me. I am having massive anxiety, depression. Its literally driving me nuts. As I read other women's reviews I see other side effects such as weight gain and non stop bleeding and I know that's something I do not want to experience either.

Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had Implanon in for three months now. So far I've had bleeding (spotting) constantly since I have had it in, which is so annoying, slight weight gain and acne. Dizziness and nausea! I called my doctor and they told me to wait it out and usually after 4 months it will become normal again. I'm going to wait a little longer but if nothing changes I will get it taken out. I have a very healthy and active lifestyle so I know the birth control has affected it. Me and my boyfriend enjoy it because we don't have to use any other kind of contraception. I say try it! It's worth seeing if it works for you, everyone is different

Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had this since 2002 and had an okay experience but recently, I got diagnosed high blood preasure 214/115 (normal 120/70) when I was in with a nasty headache. Thinking back I've had headache on and off for about 3 years and now I'm connecting the two, so please beware and check with you doctor!
I'm sorry to say that I will remove it to see if it changes it.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: Well, I have had Implanon for almost 2 years. I spotted for about 6 months the first year and have not had a period since. It was definitely a blessing in itself because I have always had horrible periods. Unfortunately, in these past 2 years I have gained a considerable amount of weight. I usually weighed from 110-115 and Now I am almost 130 lbs. Grant it, I am in nursing school, so my stress level is very high BUT I have never had trouble with my weight before. I have gone up a whole bra size! My breasts stay sore constantly as well. I am almost 23 years old, so I don't know if this has to do with my age or what. It's wild. I have always been so tiny and bam as soon as I get this, I struggle with my weight.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I'm getting my Implanon taken out after three years. These three years have been a journey. First year, I had a period or spotting for a month straight! It was miserable then my period would come and go unexpectedly. Second year, I barely had a period at all! Which I liked but then again I got worried but eventually it came back. Now this year is the same, I would spot every now and then but never nothing serious. Over the three years, I went from weighing 120 to 141 so yeah you will gain weight mostly in the first year. But hey I have some meat on my bones now so I'm fine with the weight gain. Overall Implanon is a great birth control. I would recommend it every woman looking for a good birth control.

Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I get my Implanon out in July. I have loved it the whole time except when I get spotting constantly. I didn't get my period for the first year after insertion then all of a sudden I got and it was nonstop. My fiance thought I was trying to get out of sex because I always had it when he tried. My acne is up and down. I've gained some weight but not a lot. My other biggest complaint is that my sex drive is bad. I never want to now. Other than that I'm very happy with it and will be getting it again. I'll probably take it out for a couple months to give my body a break and get back into its normal routine before getting it again.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I love my Implanon! Have had Implanon in for about a year and its been great! I've gained a bit of weight and have found it a bit harder to lose any extra but if you exercise and eat healthy it shouldn't be a problem. So I haven't had a pregnancy and its actually cleared almost all my acne. I guess the extra hormones actually balanced me out. Definitely going for another one when I turn 21. If anything changes I'll be sure to change my review but so far its the best birth control ever, its out of sight and out of mind.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I have been on Implanon for almost two years now, I was put on it after I had my daughter. My experience hasn't been great, my periods the first year started with a long period that I had for a month straight then no period for a year. But now going into my second year I have had a period every other week and I am currently on a three week stretch of continued bleeding. I feel exhausted all the time. I have also experienced weight gain and its been even harder to lose the weight which has affected my moods.

Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I love my Implanon. The only con would be the periods and their time that they last and not knowing when they are coming. This is my first Implanon and I will definitely get a new one in the following months!
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had the Implanon for about 7 months. I put it in after my second child but I get mg period about 2x a month for a week or sometimes 3x for 3 days it's pretty weird but I don't mind mind this at all as long as I'm protected.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I'm at the end of my 3 years and I'm ready to get another one inserted. It's been a dream so far though my results aren't typical. I have only had one period since having the Implanon insertion which is amazing. The insertion leaves you a bit sore and makes showering a little tricky but it's only for a few days. I am a little scared for the extraction but you don't feel any pain because they numb you.

Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had my Implanon for almost 3 years. Right after I got it put it I had a period almost everyday for 4 months! Now I have regular periods. I was lucky to have no period. I haven't had weight gain, headaches, my acne has gotten pretty bad but mainly around the time to start. Although it wasn't an ideal experience I still loved it because I didn't have to remember anything or be extra careful.
Implanon (etonogestrel) for Birth Control: I've had the Implanon for almost 3 years now and I plan on putting another one in as this one is removed. They inserted the Implanon when I was on my period and I haven't had a period since (yes!) I'm on a lot of acne medicine already so if it did increase acne I didn't notice. I have also gained weight (8lbs) but that could be due to the whole "freshman fifteen" it's hard to tell. I've recently lost some weight and it has been really, really hard. But again I have no idea if it is from the Implanon. All around though I really like the Implanon. I don't have to worry about taking a pill or getting a shot. It's put in (which is not very painful, only feel the numbing shot) and that's it for 3 years. I love it!
