For Birth Control "So far so good! I have experienced very slight irritability on Levora. The main symptom I have is mild bloating. When I say slight/mild I MEAN it! This birth control is much better than getting my normal period. The slight irritability is completely worth it, because it is actually much less intense/noticeable than my regular PMS symptoms. I haven't had any nausea, vomiting, weight gain, increased acne, or mood swings. Overall I'd call this birth control a winner."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for over 2 months now and I have experience spotting/blending for 2 months straight. I got back on the pill because my husband and I decided kids isn’t the right choice for us at this time. It has been extremely frustrating that I have not had 1 day in the last 2 months where I didn’t experience bleeding. I understand spotting is to be expected. But not full on for the 2 months straight. I haven’t noticed any differences in acne or weight gain/loss. But my breast size has increased by a full cup size. I’ve take Ortho Cyclen in the past and didn’t experience any symptoms with that. But this birth control has been effecting my physical relationship with my husband. As well as my functions of everyday life. I have my wedding in a month and I want to be able to enjoy without having to worry about this bleeding. Will update in a few months."

For Birth Control "I highly recommend this birth control. As a woman who's tried four different kinds in the past, this one has minimal side effects. The first 2-4 weeks, you'll notice some water retention, but it'll go away. Levora really helps with my pms & pmdd, along with everything else. I'm someone who gets super sensitive and emotional before and during my period (in tears every night with a bag of chips) and levora has worked wonders with that...No more emotional eating & crying spells every 2 weeks! My hair has also gotten thicker and more shiny which is awesome! I also haven't had a single breakout."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Levora for a little over a year. This was my first time using an oral contraceptive and it is amazing. I haven't gotten pregnant, my sex drive has increased and my acne isn't as bad. When I take the reminder pills I usually don't start my period the first day which scares me. I crave food the week before my period and sometimes during. This pill serves its purpose so far, but me and my boyfriend also use condoms the majority of the time."

For Birth Control "being on levora for 3 months . I’ve experienced a lot of acne, lots of weight gain which is not good cause I’m a diabetic. My period came late. I’ve suffer from depression but these past 3 months. My mood swings have been off the chain . So unfortunately I’m stopping levora. Maybe try something different. Cause this not it !!!"

For Birth Control "I started on the patch for my acne, but my skin had allergic reaction to the patch. It gave me no side effects, so the doctor changed me to oral contraceptive. The one with the closest hormone dosage to the patch was Levora (called MinOvral in Canada). I have been on it for 6 years now. The only side effect I have experienced is mild breakouts right when I start a new pack after a week off, but I can put up with that. It is also slightly pricier than many other oral contraceptives. Unfortunately my school's insurance plan does not completely cover it, but it is still affordable."

For Birth Control "I started using Levora after stopping Yasmin. I'm starting my third Levora pack next week and so far my experience with Levora has been great! No headaches, no nausea, no feeling physically weak or overly emotional. My libido is really high and my breasts have gotten a little bigger. I did, however, have the food cravings as mentioned in other comments and it did make me gain a little weight but I notice that when I'm taking the reminder pills I'm a lot slimmer than when I'm taking the active pills. I also have increased acne by very, very little, nothing that makes me complain or feel annoyed. I recommend Levora for anyone debating on it. It worked well for me!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So I've wanted to be on BC pills for the longest just for menstrual cramps. My pcp said this would be great. I've been constantly sad, and extremely tired. No matter how much sleep I get it's never enough. I always have itching in my private area and it never seems to go away to the point where it breaks open and seeps blood. Also the non stop spotting is crazy to deal with. I've been spotting for literally a month. I know spotting is definitely expected but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I definitely want to be off of this pill and it's only been a month literally ! I rather take a Motrin 800 mg pill to deal with my cramps than to deal with this mess. It's so NOT worth it."

For Birth Control "To those of you experiencing side effects within the first 3 months-I would advise you to stay on it and see if the side effects subside. For the first 2 months or so I had persistent crying for no reason at all (my boyfriend was unbelievably confused), but that went away after 2 months. Also, I had terrible, painful, oozing acne all over my face ever since about 4th grade, but after a few months of Levora my skin is perfect. I have people constantly asking me what my secret is! My sex drive has stayed the same. I gained 20 lbs almost right away, but my pants still fit, so it's not a major problem for me. My only issue is with spotting and breakthrough bleeding. Going to the doc tomorrow to talk about that"

For Birth Control "So far I've been on this birth control for a month now, and I love it. I'm 22, It's my first time taking birth control and I haven't had any side effects. My skin has cleared up completely. I'm really happy, so hopefully it stays that way :) I recommend it."

For Ovarian Cysts "I've been on this for almost 2 years and every other birth control I've ever taken has has given horrible hormonal side effects. This one is great. I don't feel crazy,I didn't gain any weight and it helps decrease the pain from my cyst. I take only the pills and skip the placebos each month in order to shrink my cyst which is in a tricky spot on my ovary and unable to be removed through surgery (I used to have to take a percocet to not feel the pain and it was frustrating). I only feel the occasional cramp but nothing compared to the stabby feelings I used to endure. The only thing that sucks with this is the occasional reddish brown goop that I think is my period refusing to die completely. My libido has also dropped SIGNIFICANTLY :( Anyone know a remedy for this?"

For Birth Control "This is definitely the pill for me. I suffer from pretty severe PMDD as a result of low estrogen. I used to spend two weeks out of the month with bad cramps and other PMS symptoms. During my actual period, I was rarely able to get myself out of bed in the morning. Now, I barely notice cramps at all during my period. I don't have any of my other twenty-something symptoms. My sex drive has increased (I actually have one now!) and my family has commented on the fact that I've been less moody. As far as complaints: I have gained a few pounds as a result of food cravings. I'm definitely hungrier more frequently than I used to be. My stomach will growl just two hours after a large meal. I've definitely responded well to Levora."

For Birth Control "I'm 16 and been on Levora for about 2 months. At first I had a slight weight gain and extreme breast tenderness. But now on my second month my breasts have gone up a cup size, but tenderness is still there. The tenderness is bearable. My skin has improved greatly! My skin looks soft and clear. There's also been a decline of facial hair for me. I haven't had my period in almost 2 months with no spotting. I do have slight cramps near the time of my period but it only lasts for a second or two then disappears. Overall it works for me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’m currently on Levora and have been taking it since mid July. I’ve had my period for 11 days now which is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It isn’t an unbearable period with bad cramps (although there are random rumbles here and there) but it IS a big nuisance! And so random! Thankfully, I’ve experienced some weight gain (I was quite slim and was pleasantly surprised to notice my breast getting bigger. My bf is quite happy too :)) I hope this period ends soon though because it’s not exactly the easiest thing to have for this long and I’d like to be able to enjoy the rest of the summer without a nagging period to ruin plans."

For Birth Control "The mood swings I got from these Levora birth control pills have been absolutely unbearable and I had to stop taking them. I do not even feel like myself anymore and I am exhausted because of how much my mood shifts. My periods have also been more painful on Levora compared to other birth controls I have been on."

For Birth Control "I have 3 days left on this first month of Levora. It helped to stop my post miscarriage bleeding. That's about the only positive side effect I've experienced. It started with horrible dry itchy eyes, then random uncontrollable crying spells and poor ability to sleep. I've since become so so down, I'm so damn depressed. This is going in the trash bin! Please be careful. Hormones are a delicate balance. I'm going to try Vitex - Chasteberry tree after this month is over."

For Birth Control "Since starting Levora 3 months ago, I've had severe panic attacks, fatigue, nausea, and awful mood swings. Off it as of today. I suggest taking it, then re-evaluating how you feel after 90 days. I can honestly say, it's turned me into a raging lunatic with no control over my emotions. This has been my worst experience on birth control yet. The anxiety is overwhelming which causes hostility and depression. Please be careful, ladies!"

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I was given Levora because I was diagnosed with PCOS. I have been on a different pill about 2 years ago and I went off due to side effects. I must say that Levora is HORRIBLE. Not only did it give me stomach cramps and bloating 30 min after taking it, but it also made me feel really really tired just 2 weeks into my first set. I am also moody, depressed and with absolutely no sex drive. So bad so that I can't even stand my husband touching me. So yeah, job well done on one hand: I will never get pregnant because I don't feel like having sex. At the end of this one month, I am going off the pill and I will try more natural ways. Goodbye pills for the rest of my life!"

For Birth Control "Three months in and I'm an anxious, angry, depressed, lunatic with high blood pressure I can feel raging through my body and causing the sensation of heart palpitations daily. Doctors should make greater effort telling women about possible side effects as those of us with a similar experience in the past take longer than necessary to connect that it is the pill causing all these horrible feelings and experiences. This thing can ruin lives and families before women realize it isn't them but the pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on Levora for 7 years. It's been exactly a set to the time and day of my menstrual cycles which I like. And no bad side effects ever that I have noticed, but am worried and anxious for whenever I choose to stop it what could happen to my body after so many years of non stop use."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for the past two years. At first I loved it and didn’t experience any symptoms. Recently in the past 6 months I have had soooo many symptoms that I didn’t even realize were from the birth control when I looked it up (before I realized it I thought my body was just weird and didn’t know what was going on). I’ve experienced severe bloating and cramping on a daily basis, headaches and nausea especially in the mornings and at night, increased discharge, mood swings (I get upset and angry so easily but it’s so hard to feel happy), and a really bad decreased sex drive to the point where my boyfriend of 3 years was wondering what was wrong. This has worked great as a birth control prevention, but I will be going to the doctor in the morning and changing it because I am so over this medication and all the negative symptoms."

For Birth Control "I have taken this BC for close to 10 months. I have gained so much weight and I have the worse moods. I already have issues with anxiety and depression and this has made is worse. My acne still comes and goes. I am determined to stop this medication. In the other hand my periods have been fabulous. Before I would throw up and have horrible cramps."

For Birth Control "I was on another birth control for 7 months and had horrible side effects before I started Levora. I have been on Levora for 3 months now and I love it! My face has cleared up completely, my periods are lighter and shorter then they used to be, and I haven't gained any weight. I will probably be on this pill for a long time."

For Birth Control "I just finished my third month of Levora pills and have no plans to start a fourth. Although it did prevent pregnancy and help to regulate my periods, I have experienced horrible depression, anxiety, and a major increase in appetite. I don't think I've ever felt so awful emotionally as I have on this pill. Great that it worked for others, but this is definitely not the pill for me."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for about 2 months, and have been very pleased. I experienced some mild weight gain, but not so much that it really matters. I had previously been on two other birth controls within the last year (LoLoestrin Fe and Kelnor) and Levora is BY FAR better for me. I can take the pill a few hours late and it's totally fine (my previous pills would case spotting if I took it even an hour late). I have skipped my periods thus far (so, twice) and have had no issues with spotting. Had one or two days in the last 60 where I was irrationally moody and bitchy, but for the most part I am very happy with Levora."
