Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been on many different birth control methods for years now. None of then have worked for me. But when my doctor prescribed me Levora I was like "hmm, but I'm not a pill popper. Okay I will try this." Levora is the best thing that has ever happened to be. I now get my period for 3 days versus 7 days! I love this pill and I get no side effects.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I am a 27 year old first-time oral birth control user, and started on Levora 11 days ago. I know side effects are supposed to last for a few months then even out, but I don't know if I can handle a few months of this! It has hit me in phases! The first phase was headaches (which I never get normally!), breasts sore beyond belief, and exhaustion. That has now shifted to hot flashes with lightheadedness followed by anxiety and LOTS of crying! I have also been constantly nauseous. Thinking of food makes me nauseous, but I'm also starving and feel like I can't eat enough! All I can hope is that this is also a phase and it will even out and I'll just have to tough it out. But if it doesn't ease up I think I'll have to try a different pill.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: Im 17 and the first month on this birth control was great. No side effects, nothing! Then the 2nd month came and I got very, VERY emotional. I was crying and crying over stupid things and it was worrying my boyfriend. Then in the 1st week of the 3rd month, I got very depressed, lost my appetite. I had to force myself to eat, and I was nauseous. I had lost 8 pounds in the course of a week and a half. Every month was getting worse. I mentioned it to my mom what it was doing. She advised me to stop taking it, I went to the doctors yesterday and they prescribed me a new pill with less hormones, Microgestin 1/20.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I am 16 years old and started the pill 4-5 months ago. Wasn't sexually active on the pill. Took some time but It cleared my skin up wonderfully. Although, I've gained a significant amount of weight. Grew out of mostly all my jeans. I gained about 10 pounds so I'm switching to another birth control. Not positive if this all caused by the pill, but weight has never been a problem for me. Didn't notice any mood changes. My periods were really light. Just not happy about the weight gain...
Review by Good experience (taken for 1 to 6 months):
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: I was put on this medicine because my doctor found a uterine fibroid after I went in abnormal bleeding complications. I haven't done well on other birth control methods that caused life threatening reaction, so of course I was scared to find that my treatment option had to be birth control. So far my experience has been great. I had experience intensified nausea at the start, it subsided after the first week. I've completely lost my appetite and have to force myself to eat at least once a day. So in my first two weeks I lost seven pounds. No complaints there. I haven't had abnormal bleeding or cramps throughout my day so its appears to be doing what it is supposed to.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I just started my 4th month on Levora. I have not experienced any side effects besides CRYING. I cry almost everyday. I was not like this at all before. Yeah, I cried at the sad parts in movies, but that's about it. Since I started Levora, I cry over just about everything. It's really embarrassing because it happens at work and school, and my boyfriend is also affected by it, too. Other than that, no complaints.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've been taking Levora for about 6 months. It does it's job- Prevents pregnancy. But I have gained weight, become depressed, and I have a LOT of acne, when I used to have a clear face. On the plus side though, my periods are light, and on time, every month. I also don't experience cramps, when I used to have throughout my entire period.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've used this medication for months and it saved my life! I used to have the heaviest periods. I would bleed through my pants almost everyday of my period no matter how much I changed my pad/tampon. With this medicine I never even have to worry about my period anymore! I have experienced no side effects or down sides to this pill. I absolutely recommend it for anyone who had a troublesome period. I love it!
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've been on this medication for 3 years. Women: realize that any time you switch birth control you will feel funny for a few months. Once you clear that hurdle, this medication is great. I have perfectly clear skin, light periods and have not gained a pound. I'm switching to Implanon only because I'm tired of remembering to take a pill every day.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: This is the first and only birth control medication I've been on. I've been taking it a little over 2 years now. I've had no side-effects besides EXTREMELY low sex drive. I've never had a particularly high sex drive but now it's nonexistent. I haven't had any of the headaches or mood swings. There was a mild increase in my acne but I'm also a college student so I don't particularly lay all the blame on the pill. Overall, it does it's job but I would caution potential takers with low libido.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: This is definitely the pill for me. I suffer from pretty severe PMDD as a result of low estrogen. I used to spend two weeks out of the month with bad cramps and other PMS symptoms. During my actual period, I was rarely able to get myself out of bed in the morning.
Now, I barely notice cramps at all during my period. I don't have any of my other twenty-something symptoms. My sex drive has increased (I actually have one now!) and my family has commented on the fact that I've been less moody.
As far as complaints:
I have gained a few pounds as a result of food cravings. I'm definitely hungrier more frequently than I used to be. My stomach will growl just two hours after a large meal.
I've definitely responded well to Levora.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): My experience with Levora was an quite different. This is my first time using birth control. I thought I would gain weight, however when I began taking Levora I was 115 lbs a month into the pill I lost so much weight. I am currently 107 lbs. I also suffered from bad mood swings and nausea occasionally. I felt like I lost a lot of my appetite as well. The pill certainly served its purpose though, I didn't get pregnant and my periods were amazingly light and cramps were almost non existent.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been taking Levora for a year now and it's been working great! I have been with the same guy for a year and we do try and use protection and I haven't gotten pregnant! I have had some side effects when I first started using it. I always wanted to eat, my acne was terrible and I was always crying. The crying was from my face breaking out so badly, after like 4 or 5 months into the pill my acne cleared up and the cravings went away, my face has been clear ever since!
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): Been on Levora for about 5 months now, and its been great no weight loss or gain, no emotional drastic changes, no change is sex drive. The only problem is the eating habits that rise the week before my period. I literally walk about the kitchen looking for food like a crazy person. Nibbling off of everything I can and never getting full. Chocolate is the medicine of choice in the third week of the pack.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have been on Levora for about 2 years now, and I'm about to switch. What I like about the pill is that it works great. I'm forgetful and haven't gotten pregnant. When I miss, I can't double up because I will get highly nauseous. I also have to take three months straight before I can take the placebo week. If not, I will wake up in the middle of the night on the first night back and throw up. Other issues I've had: nausea, headaches, weight gain, anxiety, excessive crying over nothing, I'm easily irritated and angered, increased hunger. The worst side effect however, has been my sex drive. It has completely gone. I have to talk myself into having sex with my husband. Not cool.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I was on Levora for 2 months and when I started taking it, my period was a month late, but I had some breakthrough bleeding. I would also get nauseous late at night. I did break out just a bit and my sex drive increased. I stopped for a while and started again, and have been on it for a month now. This time my sex drive is lower and I tend to get dry during sex more often. I'm an emotional wreck. I'm depressed and have lots of anxiety. And I'm always angry or crying. And I'm ALWAYS hungry and craving things. And my breasts are slightly sore. In the first couple of weeks I gained weight, then in the last two I lost weight. But both experiences were different. It does it's job of preventing pregnancy though.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been on Levora for around 4 years and have never had negative side effects. Levora did not make me gain any weight, or cause mood swings.
One great thing is that Levora has lightened and shorted my period time. I now only have a light period for 3-4 days.
I love this birth control!
My only complaint is the price.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have been on Levora for 5 years to regulate my periods. It has regulated my periods and I have a very light flow for 4 days a month. Unfortunately I have gained 40 pounds and went from a B to a D cup. I also recently saw other people's side effects and realized many of my issues are from Levora. Severe migraines, acne, needing to eat everything, mood swings, depression, etc. I am not pregnant and was happy with the pill besides the weight gain. Now that I've realized the other issues could be from this pill, I am switching to Mirena next week.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I had every side effect listed ... gained weight, pimples, mood swings EVERYTHING. My period was never ending, cramps made me cry I was in bed for a week no joke. My breasts... a simple hug hurt so bad. I got depressed taking this pill.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have tried almost every type of birth control out there and this is definitely my least favorite! I initially gained weight when switching from the ring to the pills and then switched to Levora from Sprintec and it's been a disaster. I gained more weight and can't get rid of it despite dropping to a 1200 cal/day diet and running/walking at least a mile 4 x week. I also have lost my libido almost completely (bad for a soon to be newlywed!) and have acne I haven't had in at least 6 years.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I have been taking this birth control for about 2 months now and I am absolutely loving it. Seems like my perfect fit pill. Although I know everyone is different, I have experienced nothing but good. My breasts have definitely gotten bigger, and my sex drive has increased, never have I had a problem with dryness, etc. I've never had acne, but I have noticed that my skin had cleared up. Lighter and shorter periods, not pregnant yet, so it's doing its job. No mood swings. Got it from planned parenthood.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I had been on Levora for about 5 years. My insurance put me on that from Levlen (which I had been getting at PP when I had no insurance). The first few years were great- didn't really experience any weight gain, acne increases, moodiness, etc and it prevented pregnancy as it should. In the last year or little more though my experience changed. Levora absolutely started killing my sex drive to the point where I couldn't care less if I had sex, lubrication was very low and it also took longer to climax. My doctor switched me to Junel Fe and after 1 month I'm far happier than on the Levora. I'm not sure if my body changed, how it reacted but it certainly didn't like Levora at the end.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've been impressed with this pill. It's been the best out of all pills I've taken (Ortho Lo/Yaz). I've been on it for over a year now. I feel pretty relaxed mood-wise, light periods, haven't gotten pregnant despite occasionally taking it a few hours late. Also don't have any problems with migraines/canker sores/moodiness/weight gain/sex drive/urinary tract infections that I've had with other pills.
Possibly a moderate improvement in facial acne, but feel that back and chest acne sometimes gets out of control. Seems like acne gets worse though when I get less than 8 hours of sleep, am on the inactive pill week, or drink even a glass of wine. So might be better to take extra vitamins when on this pill due to decreased appetite.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I came from the UK being on a diferent pill which I cant get in the States. I dont think I like Levora at all. I have had major mood swings, am very emotional and have no sex drive whatsoever. My orgasms are also very weak since I have been taking it. I'm very lethargic all the time and have had a breakout of large red, sore spots on my shoulders and back.
Levora (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel) for Birth Control: I've been using Levora for almost 7 months now and in the sense of no pregnancy- I'm happy. However, my appetite has increased DRAMATICALLY. Before the pill, I used to be 125 pounds, now, seven months in, I've gained about 20 pounds that I can't for the life of me, get rid of. My sex drive is normal, my periods are so much lighter/shorter, but my mood swings are terrible. I cry over the stupidest things like not being able to find my remote. Other than those side effects, it's a good pill.
