For Birth Control "I hate this birth control. I am now on my 4th pack which makes a year. The first pack was the brand amethia which worked like it was supposed to. Then the pharmacy switched to camrese and it has been hell ever since. The first pack of camrese I made it through the first 2 months with no period. Then beginning of the 3rd month I started my period and I bled the whole month. Picked up the next pack same thing. I switched from monthly to this because I was tired of having horrible periods now I have to deal with them for a month. I've gained 20 pounds, migraines non stop. Don't switch if you don't have to!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for about 6 years. I originally was taking Lo Seasonique, but had to switch to this as it is the generic option. I began taking this in high school after suffering from crippling cramps, and missing school due to these symptoms. The first three months were full of spotting (which I was warned of ahead of time). After my first pack, my body started to get used to this BC. It is a low dosage of hormones, which works great for my body right now. One thing I have noticed is that if I don't take my pill at exactly the same time each day, I do begin spotting for a day or two. There have been a few occasions where I have forgotten, or taken it 3 or so hours late, which has caused spotting to begin."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for over a year and I am sad that it isn't working for certain things. I have a very light 3-4 day period every time, no breakthrough bleeding, no cramps headaches or anything else! My skin cleared up immensely. The three biggest problems were the fact that ever since I have been on this I have absolutely no sex drive, at all, I have been so depressed and down, and I gained 20 pounds because of the hormone levels :(! I would still be on it if the couple side effects I have weren't so large."

For Birth Control "I was on this BC for 8 months. I had almost constant spotting. The most I would make it without spotting was three weeks and then I would spot with no sign of slowing down, so I'd have to skip pills to let myself have a period. I couldn't take it anymore--I was on Camrese to control really heavy periods and here I was bleeding not as heavy, but all the freaking time. I also gained 6 pounds almost immediately upon taking it, felt constantly bloated and developed cellulite. I wanted sugar constantly. Within two weeks of stopping this pill, I lost 3 pounds and don't crave sweets nearly as much. I also developed three prominent patches of melasma on my face including one that looks like a mustache. They have not even lightened yet."

For Birth Control "I just started using this BC, and it has been horrible. I was told to just push through it & that the pain would go away after the first full month. I constantly have cramps (as if I'm starting my period) and nauseous every other day. I'm also starting to develop headaches frequently but not sure if that's directly correlated."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this BC for 6 years. There is still spotting, very randomly and cramping. I get constant mood swings. I take it at night and feel super hungry in the morning, but just eat breakfest and I'm fine. My weight is normal. I would say it works great as its suppose to, just a few side effects."

For Birth Control "After 20 days of taking the BC I had a hemorrhagic stroke on the 21st day. It caused a blood clot that went to my brain and I almost died. I do not smoke, I'm not overweight, no high blood pressure or other health issues. Please do all your research on BC before you start treatment."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been taking camrese for a few weeks now (almost a month) and I’ve noticed I’m hungry all the time, I also have had mood swings I’m just now adjusting and not feeling sad all the time, I also have had some minor cramping, as well as occasional breakouts that fortunately go away within a day or two. However, I haven’t been taking this for very so long so these side effects may go away. Hopefully!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Camrese for about 9 months, and at first it was terrible. I got through the first month (out of 3) and then has a period for 2 straight months, constant bleeding. My nurse said it was normal, that my body needed to regulate. So then I finished that packet and got another one (another 3 month packet) and my period was gone consistently til the yellow pills. It was like I almost forgot what a period was even like lol. I lost 15 lbs with camrese which is a plus for me, the only problem with the pill for me is that I’ve had crazy mood swings and some depression and sad periods. I’ve always been a chipper, bubbly person but this bc has gotten to me. Overall it does its job and works for me so I gave it a 7!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Camrese for 6 months now. For me personally, it has been my miracle birth control pill! I have not had any weight gain, no spotting, and no pregnancy! I did notice the first two weeks I was really moody but getting past that I am glad I stayed on it! It has been amazing for me and I highly recommend this bc pill. Everyone's body reacts different but it's definitely worth trying in my opinion!"

For Birth Control "I got on Camrese to help control my endometriosis. I ended up hospitalized with extreme high blood pressure and severe vascular migraines. Never had these issues before Camrese. After 7 days of bedrest, I am still waiting for this BCP to get out of my system."

For Birth Control "I was taking this bc pill for a couple of years. This last month I have bled heavily for 3 weeks straight. It worked great for a long time so I'm not sure what happened but now I will be changing to a different birth control."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for almost two weeks and it has increased my libido times 100 and I am feeling normal again... Not as many mood swings as before and no depression. I have increase G-spot sensation and feel amazing ... It will be nice to have my period only 4 times a year. I would recommend this to patients who have had difficulties with frequent UTIs and yeast infections due to the pill. I would never go back to Junel after this."

For Birth Control "I started taking these pills in hopes of having my period every 3 months. The first month of the pack, I don't bleed at all until about the last week I have some very light spotting that lasts up through the middle of the 2nd month/pack of pills....then it remains heavy from the middle of the 2nd month all the way through the end of the third month. So total I ended up bleeding for about 6 weeks straight through each pack of pills. I've been on it for about 9 months now and this has happened every time. I will definitely be changing to another kind. I'd rather bleed once a month heavily than 6 weeks straight. I also was extremely tired all the time. The only positive is that it did prevent pregnancy and my skin cleared up tremendously."

For Birth Control "I was taking this for three months and will be switching. I've had "spotting" for about 2.5 months (some days worse than others), and I feel as though I am overly emotional and anxious on it. I'm not sure if it's due to BC, but I also feel as though it's causing my hair to fall out much more rapidly. Giving it a 3 only because I didn't gain weight while taking it, which was a concern for me."

For Birth Control "I was normally on the generic ashlyna (seasonique) and my pharmacy filled my prescription with Camrese brand. And that's where is all went downhill! After 2 weeks my face broke out, I got my period out of cycle for 3 weeks and then I had the WORST panic attacks and severe thoughts. It was so scary and I have never experienced that before. I immediately stopped taking them and after about a week the panic attacks have stopped. It was such a horrible experience I am now working with my GYN on possible ablation just to not have a period. As I am over childbearing years and was using this BCP just to stop a heavy flow. Be VERY careful and aware of the side effects of this. Please tell someone if you end up with panic attacks, etc because you may need to stop taking this immediately"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 4 years now and the very beginning of it was hard. I was young so I wasn't paying attention to how my body was reacting but looking back it made me hungry with a huge appetite and I had spotting for almost a month straight. The doctor said it was normal and I just needed to adjust. I've been on this medication since and I think it's great. Only giving 9/10 because I do get frequent spotting when I'm not supposed to, but what do you expect from something that only makes you have your period every 3 months. The other major downfall of this medication is that I completely lost my sex drive."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this medication for about 1.5 years now. I had chronic migraines for over a year before I started taking this, with no explanation as to why I was having such awful headaches every single day. Ob-Gyn recommended me on birth control, and I haven't had a migraine for 1.5 years now! I don't have any bad side affects from this birth control (that I've noticed yet). Only having a period 4 times a year is definitely a plus!"

For Birth Control "I have a semi-rare medical condition where I get intense, horrendous mood swings due to a horomone imbalance. Camrese has been the only birth control for me to solve this. I've taken birth controls that have made me gone into spouts of rage, but after taking this for more than six months, I can 100% say this is the right medicine for me. I have no more mood swings, and the period pills have horomones in them, so I wont have emotional swings there either. I also have PCOS, so whatever. Its good to know I'm still getting some estrogen to counteract the testosterone. What is unusual now is that my period is so light that I only need a light pad. I'm currently 5 days into it and it's extremely managable. It almost seems too good to be true."

For Birth Control "I wouldn't even rate this oral contraceptive as high as 1 out of 10. I was prescribed this by my doctor for birth control as well as issues with P.M.S.. THIS MEDICATION IS HORRIBLE. Upon starting it my depression was off the charts, I was so irritable that people closest to me asked, "why am I so miserable?", I had acne breakouts, which I have not had since the age of 15, so 12 years later & not sexy out breaks. My sex drive went to zero. INSOMNIA constantly.. When I did get my period Jeezus, heavy flow, fatigue, fever like feeling/hard time getting out of bed and functioning, and cramps worse than without being on this med. The PMS IS HORRIBLE. This website won't let me write more. Hair loss as well. 4 periods a month is not worth this med"

For Birth Control "I tried Camrese in hopes it would help my PMDD. It did not. Gave it a month and a half but I spent a month of that ridiculously depressed and dissociating on and off. Mood swings were some of my worst. I could go from fine to sobbing to rage and back in a few minutes. Maybe if I'd hung on longer my body would have adjusted but I could not uproot my life to see. Do not recommend if you struggle with mood and/or depression already."

For Birth Control "Horrible! If I could rate a 0 I would. Started having headaches ( I never ever have headaches), got my period for 10 days 6 weeks in, bp went from 100/60 to 158/98. Missed 2 doses so I followed the directions and upon taking them and my normal dose shit hit the fan. I couldn't breathe, my heart was racing, and my bp went through the roof. I was sent to er ( after my first 2 visits) to get checked for a PE, have had a million tests done, several ekg's and have an spot with a cardiologist. I have been waiting for the drugs to get out of my system (the half life is about a month) and I am light headed have the worst anxiety ( never ever had it before so it really hard to deal with which is making it worse), really jittery and and not happy."

For Birth Control "After 5 months on this birth control I must say that I really like it. After the first month I started spotting but I stopped taking the pills to allow myself to have a period and I have not spotted ever since. My skin has cleared, I have no PMS, no mood swings and obviously rarely have periods. Only complaints are my sugar cravings (can't lose weight to save my life). But other than that I enjoy it. I save so much on feminine hygiene products and book travels with no worries."

For Birth Control "I've taken this medication for about two years. Everything about it is wonderful, except the cramps I get right before my period are so intense. I wake up in the middle of the night throwing up from the pain. I've never been through or experienced anything like it and contemplate going to the ER every time it happens. It's like one intense cramp that won't let go for 30 minutes or so and typically leaves me in tears. I've asked my doctor about it and he says it's normal, but after going through this every period, enough is finally enough. I'm going to ask to switched back to a typical 1 month dosage. Otherwise, it's been wonderful only having a period every 3 months with little side effects!"

For Birth Control "I am on the last week of the second month of this pill and I have been spotting a brown discharge( not heavy enough for a pad or tampon but annoying) since the last week of the first month. It wont stop I'm getting ready to start my third month so my first period week on the pill is 3 weeks away. If the spotting doesnt' stop after my period week I'm calling my doc for a new pill."
