Imvexxy (estradiol) for Dyspareunia "I had been taking Imvexxy for almost 5 months. I had seen no positive changes. I started having heart palpitations after 3 months of usage. Then I began to notice pain from my fibroid tumors returning. I have discontinued taking this product. I’d rather have painful intercourse then live with fibroid tumors and heart palpitations. I’m wondering how many other women have had these same problems and never reported them."

Vagifem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I am 57 yrs old and 3 weeks on low dose vagifem 10 mcg - gained 5 kg and experienced a hypertensive crisis 200/100 blood pressure at its worst. My BP was completely normal beforehand. Spoke to GP who took me off straight away - really rare side effect but can be found in the small print. 4 days later BP returned to normal, now 120/80. Watch your BP girls. On the up side, had sex with minimal pain which was fantastic but guess what, can't take the drug. Talk about depressive!"

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I'm a 41 year old woman who went into early menopause two years ago. Vaginal dryness and all the other wonderful symptoms of menopause are not something that I would like to deal with at my age, but somethings we can't control, so my doctor prescribed Estrace and I use 1mg 2x a week. I was told that it would take about 6-8 weeks before seeing a difference. At the end of that time frame, I saw only a slight difference in vaginal dryness but many side effects. I had headaches, dizziness, bloating and calf pain."

Estring (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I LOVE this thing! That was not the case the first week, I really considered removing it because it was very uncomfortable. I hung in there and by the 2nd week, I couldn't even feel it. All of my horrible symptoms of estrogen deficiency were gone by week two. No more pain, constant urination urge and generally feeling awful. I feel like my normal self again. And, sex with my husband is no longer miserable! Yes, I have concerns about all the warnings on the packaging and the website but I just needed to have some relief and this has provided it. My female gyno highly recommends it for me and I trust her. My co-pay with the coupon was only $20.00."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "Used as directed and not sure it did much, truthfully. I have been having bio-identical estrogen and testosterone implants and that does seem to be very effective. Also, OTC product called Luvena (Restorative Vaginal Moisturizer, pH balanced) is super effective and doesn't cause the stinging and break through bleeding of Estrace. Luvena is significantly cheaper than insanely over priced Estrace ($300 or a $72 co-pay). Really, Estrace should cost about $15 and not the criminally high price it is Bottom line: Not a fan of Estrace and certainly not worth the $72 co-pay for stinging and bleeding for me at ten years post menopause."

Yuvafem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I was a regular user of Vagifem and was very pleased with the results. It made sex comfortable again. I saw there was a generic available and tried it to try to save some money. This product is terrible. Everything about it is ten notches below Vagifem. You can't separate the foil packages. The applicator is sharp on the end. One of my doses was empty... and I pay $15 each. The pill does not dissolve inside you. When showering the next day I find the tablet just sitting up there undissolved. My vaginal dryness is back to where it was before beginning Vagifem. I am a 62 yr old woman with active sex life, my insurance will no longer pay for brand. I wish they would have more time before releasing. I hate everything about it."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "Side effects of break through bleeding and little relief from thin tissue does not warrant the cost if over $300 with co-pay of $75. This is price gouging for a cream that should cost no more than $20 at the very most -- and I'm being generous. Over priced meds are out of control. I won't bother using Estrace anymore."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "Doc gave me samples of Estrace cream 2 weeks ago. I use 2 x per week for dryness and help restore thinning vaginal lining (prolapse problems). Noticed right away more hair loss the day after I use it. I was told this would not affect me in any way and only work locally in the vagina. I can't afford to lose more hair. I'm going to watch it and try a couple more times and if I notice hair loss continues I'll stop. I also use an all natural menopause cream (just started last month) has estrogen and progesterone from all natural sources. It seemed to be helping hair loss and all around symptoms. My first time on hormone treatment after my total hysterectomy seven years ago."

Estring (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I am 52 years old, menopausal, and I have been using Estring for about 6 months now and LOVE it. I had severe vaginal dryness and itching. I love sex, but it was painful and I would often bleed during and after. Within 2 weeks of using the Estring all my symptoms disappeared!!!! Such a huge relief. The ring looks giant when you take it out of the package and you may worry about making it fit. I had no problems inserting it and couldn’t feel it. I can’t remove it myself, so have to enlist the help of my husband. It is worth every penny. If you are on the fence - TRY IT."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I’ve only been on estrace for a week, my symptoms? Hot flashes day and night, mood swings, I’d go up to the bedrooms and feel my heart palpitating, low energy, have a hard time getting up in the morning, no interest in anything. This cream is heaven sent, I’m looking forward to the next couple of weeks, have faith that it can only get better. I feel like a human being. I was honestly feeling like I was losing whom I am. I’ll keep you guys posted..."

Vagifem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "Use of Vagifem to address bladder frequency has caused significant irritation, itchiness and rawness around the vaginal area as well as thick white discharge. I have discontinued it and am attempting to treat these symptoms which have progressed to the urethra. Very discouraging as many women find it very helpful for post menopausal conditions ."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "The last 2 times when I used Estrace cream, I had bad burning and felt like I had a UTI. Out of desperation, I decided to try a vaginal yeast infection cream w/applicator to see if it made a difference. It did, both times!! Within hours, the symptoms decreased. By the next day, no further issues. Had no idea others had burning from the Estrace cream until I got on this site. May check out getting it compounded. I wonder why after years of using the Estrace (brand name), did this start all of the sudden. Have the ingredients changed??"

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "My doctor gave me this cream for my vaginal dryness and pain and burning when I urinate. I'm 47 years old I don't have my period since this January, and started with the terrible dry vagina symptoms. I just started using the cream so far I haven't noticed the bad side effects yet and I hope I won't have it. I noticed when I urinate that the burning sensation is less. This morning when I woke up I feel my vagina less dry, but half of the day the dryness came back. I hope the more time I used the cream the symptoms of dry vagina go completely. I have avoided having sex with my husband because I'm afraid is going to hurt more. I'm very motivated reading the reviews I read before and maybe I can return to enjoy sex again."

Vagifem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I take antidepressants each morning as well as several combined sleeping tablets. Within a few days of using Vagifem l sank into deep depression, and by about 6 days l was almost suicidal! PLEASE, if you take antidepressants (I take Efexor xr), consider carefully using this product. It is an uncommon but serious side-effect for some!"

Imvexxy (estradiol) for Dyspareunia "Have used Imvexxy for over a year. Dye should NOT be in a vaginal insert. I also have had leakage - with used overnight or during the day. A year on the medication - sex is still extremely painful and atrophy has not improved per my yearly exam. Many issues with getting the pharmacy to properly bill. Now my prescription just went up by more than $11 per month. Called the Imvexxy number and they tell me I have to wait until Jan 2021 to get another discount card. This has been an extremely frustrating experience between fighting to have the discount applied each month, no improvement with the painful sex, and the leakage of the drug."

Imvexxy (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "My Dr. wanted me to take this every night for two weeks. I had to discontinue use after 4 nights. When I would get up in the morning, there was so much discharge. I had a horrible headache the entire four days that I took it. It made my rosacea flair up. I felt tired and run down and my body felt sore."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "Painful sex for year and a half. Was at my wits end, finally went to the doctor and described severe pain and dryness not relieved. She prescribed this cream. Miracle drug! No more pain, dryness improving. My husband and I are thrilled! Go on their website for a coupon. Almost 300 bucks but I only had to pay $25.00"

Imvexxy (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I had great results after a few days of taking it but it has been 10 days now and I feel a “ itchy feel good sensation in my vagina “ I am worried I am getting a yeast now. Has anyone else experienced this. I am assuming it’s not just hormones making me feel fluttery in there. "

Yuvafem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I don't understand all the negative comments. I have finished the two-week buildup phase and now starting on the twice-a week phase. No problem with the packaging. No problems with the pills falling out of the plunger. Pills do not "come out" the next day partially dissolved. No adverse effects from the medication. No problems at all. Even though my doctor said it would take about three months to reach maximum benefit, I already see an improvement. Great medication as far as I'm concerned."

Yuvafem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "Yvuafem makes me spot and it gets worse over several days. First yellow and dark brown and then bloody discharge. My doctor checked me out. I’m fine so it’s definitely this medication. I did not have this problem with Vagifem and will tell my doctor the Vagifem is what I want. I am 63 years old. When I use the Yuvafem I have to wear a liner. Terrible medication and should be pulled from the market."

Estrace Vaginal Cream (estradiol) "I've been using Estrace 1 mg 2x week for around 9-10 years. It does help with the dryness, itching, burning symptoms but I've had two bladder infections. I can't help but wonder if having to REUSE the applicator (and maybe not being able to wash it properly or having leftover soap on it?) is the cause. I hope to find a good source for disposable applicators so I can feel safer using this medicine."

Vagifem (estradiol) for Atrophic Urethritis "For the past 2 years I have suffered terribly with incontinence. A month ago I decided to go to the doctor and she prescribed Vagifem. It was an instantaneous result. I can even jog now without any leaking. It has changed my life. The only negative thing I find is that I gained 2kg or it can be water retention. But not having incontinence outweighs the water retention/weight gain."

Vagifem (estradiol) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I was on the generic for atrophic vaginitis and bladder issues. I was on it twice a week for 10 months. Ultrasound, before I started, showed everything normal...after 10 months numerous gallstones and hepatic hemangioma. Now I have to have my gall bladder out. It did work wonders, but I can't take it...Gyn. told me to stop immediately. I wish there were more things to help this condition!!"
