"Relpax has changed my life. I used to suffer for 3 days with such painful migranes. I couldn't even leave the bedroom. Any light or sound would cause me to vomit. If I start to get a migrane I take 1 Relpax and I am relieved. The side effects are minimal, maybe a little light-headed, just like after a glass of wine! I am a nurse and I recommend this medication to anyone who has suffered from migraines."

"I've been taking Relpax 40mg name brand for about 8 years or so. I take them 3 to 4 times a month. Refilled my prescription in November 2017 and didnt realize they gave me Eletriptan, which is generic for Relpax. I paid $20.00 for 9 pills. When I got a migraine I kept wondering why my migraine didn't go completely away! My Pharmacy didn't even tell me. I've had a lingering migraine for 9 days today. I looked all over for a Relpax, and found one, I took it real fast! Omgeee! Within 1 hour the migraine completely gone! I called my doctor and told him to please write on my prescription DAW- Disperse As Written per my insurance so I can get Relpax name brand. So now I'll be paying $112.00 for 9 pills. Very expensive. But gotta love my RELPAX! No generic brand going on here."

"I started getting migraines at 11 years old. For the first few years, Excedrin Migraine would usually get rid of it. But then it stopped working. I finally went to a neurologist. At first I was put on Imitrex, but that either did absolutely nothing, or made the pain worse. After switching to 20 mg Relpax, I am so relieved! It almost always knocks out my migraine symptoms. Once in a while, it won't really work and I'll have to take a 40 mg. Although, one time I did have to go to the ER because I had a migraine for a week and Relpax wasn't working, every single other time it has worked! The only side effect I've noticed is that I'm a bit tired. However, this could just be due to the initial pain beforehand. But heck, I love Relpax!"

"This medication has worked very well. Better than any other medication I have tried and been on. I had a migraine this morning to the point I wanted to go to the er. And I took the medication and it worked with in half hour. And a full hour later I had no more migraine."

"I took my first 20mg. Relplax tonight and it only took an hour to take away a severe migraine! Earlier I had taken 325 mg of Tylenol and 500 mg of aspirin which didn't take the migraine away so I took a Relplax and it worked a miracle! I'm hoping Pfizer is going to continue to offer the 10.00 co-pay in 2014 from their site because even with insurance nine pills would have cost me 60.00."

"I was given both samples of relpax or zomig for migranes from my neurologist. He said try both and he would Rx what one worked better. The zomig was a nasal spray that I did not like, the the relpax was way better for me. I've been on this medication for about 6 months. I take it about 2 times a month. I can feel my migraine just melt away in about 30 minutes after taking this. It's really a miracle pill. Only side effect is the next day my head feels spacey, but I would take that over a migraine anyday."

"My migraines get pretty severe, and I get pretty nauseous, however I have never actually vomited except for the time that I tried Relpax. It may work for some people, but in my experience it just made things worse."

"This is my MIRACLE drug! I've suffered with migraines since around the age of 16, now 33. I've tried tons of different medications but Relpax, although terribly expensive, has been the ONLY solution for me. The only real side effect I have trouble with is entire body sensitivity to touch. Literally, just putting a bar of soap to my skin hurts. However, it's only temporary and I'd much rather that temporary feeling than a migraine. Can't wait until there is a generic! GREAT medicine!"

"I am a migraine sufferer. They tend to last for several days before I start to feel relief. Relpax for me doesn't seem to change that. Even after multiple doses I continue to be in agonizing pain. But not all medicines will work the same for everyone."

"So I've just recently started suffering migraines due to stress tension in upper traps which doesn't help and hormonal. I'm 31 and I have never had migraines like this. I tired bupap for my tension headaches and after taking them it made it 10 times worse to the point it would turn it into a horrific migraine. My doctor suggested relpax. I took it for the first time today as I felt symptoms come on this morning. I thought it was more tension so I thought I would give bupap another try...45 mins later the throb started coming on. So I called pharmacist and he gave me ok to take relpax. 30 mins later. I AM PAIN FREE! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. Will update on side effects. So far so good!"

"I have had severe migraines since I was 8 years old and then a friend recommend Replax. She had begun to use it for her migraines. So I asked me doctor to prescribe and it has literally changed my life. I do usually have to take two, and they are expensive, but two pills that work, at any cost, are worth being migraine free! If you are a sufferer, try it!"

"I'm 19 and have been suffering with migraines for about a year now. My GP advised me to try Relpax out as it was impacting my work life. I am on the 80mg dosage and it does work really well. I already suffer from photosensitivity and when a migraine hits, a simple phone light is unbearable. Within a couple of hours my added light sensitivity and nausea is gone and my head pains dulls down to a mild inconvenience. I am there rare case in which the side effects include jaw and neck pain. When I do take it my jaw feels like its ready to explode but after the 2 hour mark there is no more pain. I would recommend this to people who are suffers but just be weary of the side effects."

"Relpax is the best remedy I have ever found for my migraines. I suffer from frequent migraines, if not daily. It is an expensive medication if you don't have the insurance to cover it, but if you've suffered you know its worth every penny because it works every time. I do not take this medication anymore and here is why. When I first started using this miracle medicine my migraines were not daily, however after about a month of using Relpax when my migraine hit, I began having them every single day, which caused me to take one pill, every day. My pharmacist had concerns over daily usage, apparently the 6 pack is supposed to last a month. Spoke to my doctor and he took me off of it due to the fact that I was having to take it every day."

"I took Relpax today for the second time, took it once before. It has given me No relief what so ever and I'm experiencing the same side effects as the first time I took it. Before you wonder why I would take it a second time, I thought perhaps I had just been in so much pain before I would give it another go. I have severe back pain, numbness and tingling in my fingers and ringing in my ears. Also, the migraine seems to have gotten worse. Now my eye has so much pressure, it feels like it's bugging out of my face. I will NEVER take this drug again."

"I had been taking Treximet and paying privately as my insurance didn't have it on their formulary and the generic for whatever reason didn't work. After finding out the cost was going to tripple, I saw a headache specialist to find something else and I was given relpax samples... These are wonderful and I now have a prescription for them! I do feel somewhat drowsy for about 12 hours after taking the relpax which I also have to take with one Aleve and as some others have noted, I do find myself needing to pee more often. These side effects are definitely worth it & my insurance covers 4 pills at a time. I wait 4 days then get another refill, paying my copays. I also found the coupon to pay no more then $10 during a refill 1x per month. Yea!!"

"I experienced weather related migraines the past couple years. My doctor & pharmacist commented on this increase in our area. Previously I had stress- related migraines (i.e. 30 day migraine starting a new job in 1977). Several years in my mid-40s I was headache free. Past few years I started Tylenol 3 to counter migraines & found the side effects of nausea & rebound headaches made me prefer to suffer rather than take a T3. This spring my doctor gave me a sample of Replax. I was thrilled; it worked so effectively. But unfortunately I now need Replax daily! I wake up and with movement in the morning comes the throbbing migraine almost instantly. My pharmacist says it is not a rebound headache. But it no longer is just weather caused."

"I'm glad it works for most people - it most definitely did not work for me. My doctor warned me about feeling tingly but that wasn't all-I took it at night like I used to do with Imitrex. My migraine had progressed to the point of not being able to function, nausea-the usual. I woke up and felt groggy, probably shouldn't have gone into work and DRIVE my kids to school but, the pain was done, it was a good 12 hours since I had taken the medication so I figured I was OK. Boy was I wrong. I could not function, my brain was dead BUT the worst part was the uncontrollable sobbing. I was crying for no apparent reason, for HOURS- The whole day! I had to leave work and have my mom pick up my kids and take care of me-nausea lasted all day too. NOPE!"

"Relpax is effective in taking away migraine pain 99% of the time. For me, the best part was making me feel less nauseous, and less sensitive to sound/light. The WORST part was the side effects. I experienced muscle cramps in my upper body for about 30 minutes."

"I have taken Relpax 3-4 times, and strangely enough I have had extremely vivid nightmares. This is very unusual for me because I'm not the type to have nightmares. Normally, I might have one per year, and suddenly as I have taken this medication I've had nightmares each night that I have taken the medication. I think it's not a coincidence since this has already occurred 3-4 times in less than 2 weeks."

"I took Relpax the first time when I had a severe migraine about 6 months ago and it did help to some degree without any serious side effects. I was prescribed it again today.. and honestly I would rather have just had the migraine and taken pain killers and tried to sleep it off. I will never take it again. I felt dizzy, nauseated, out-of-it, muscles were sore and uncoordinated, my legs and head felt tingly and the roof of my mouth went numb. It was a horrible experience for me. Be wary before taking it - especially if you are on other medication that may enhance the effects of relpax especially SSRIs or narcotic pain relievers, all of which effect serotonin levels in the body. Not good at all, I almost took myself to hospital. I'm glad it works for most people though."

"This was a wonder drug for me! Had tried so many things from daily Topamax (did nothing), imigran, the snorty (nasal spray?) thing (can't remember its name), codeine, betapyn, acupuncture, special diets etc and this is the only drug that knocks off the migraine, deals with the nausea and leaves me functional at work. The only other drug I ever found effective was something called a 'migraine cocktail' that I was given on a work trip in a South African pharmacy - a little selection of about 6 tablets, 2 yellow, 1 pink, a few white. To this day I have no idea what was in it but it killed my migraine (probably nearly killed me, but it worked)! Outside of that, the Relpax is my absolute go-to. I have a script for both the 40mg (small migraines) and 80mg."

"I have had migraines for approximately 20 yrs. At 40 went into early menopause. I had been migraine free for about 5 yrs but after starting hormone replacement therapy the migraines are back. Relpax 40mg worked in the past and still does with little to no side effects. I had also tried Imitrex, Zomig, Maxalt with side effects and little relief. But Relpax seems to be the winner."

"I've had migraines for the last 10 years. Replax is the 2nd prescription I've tried. Two hours after the 1st dose my migraine was no longer in the usual cluster location my entire brain was ready to explode. As directed I took the 2nd dose. After 8 hours I finally felt better in that I could function again. 24 hours later I'm still "foggy", sleepy and have had several rebound headaches. I will not take this drug again."

"Not effective for me. I've been a migraine sufferer for 30 yrs and have relied mainly on Imitrex . My Neurologist has also been giving me BOTOX every 3 months for the past 6 yrs which has helped cut my attacks down immensely. However, he thought maybe I should try Relpax for those migraines I do get and it has not been helping me at all. My Imitrex 100 ( or generic) would usually rid me of a migraine as long as I took it within the first 15 or so minutes of onset. So , I guess I'll stick with what's worked for me."

"The doctor recommended this over codeine (which worked for my migraines). I was absolutely the worst experience. Within 20 minutes tightness of my head, jaw and throat. Severe heart palpitations, sweating and agitation. I felt like I was either going to throw up or pass out and couldn’t sit up. I also felt heavy in the head. These feelings lasted for 3 hours. Never again will I take this medication."
