"I have been on Beyaz for 4 months now after being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. I have lost 50 lbs in the last 4 months, my mood is better, my face has cleared up dramatically, I would recommend this to ANYONE!"

"I'm only on my second month but Beyaz is already an answered prayer! I've suffered from polycystic ovarian syndrome for years and birth control pills have always aggravated some symptoms. Since starting this one I've seen much less facial hair, my skin is clearing up, I'm losing weight, and I've had my first cycle with no migraines which is a huge deal for me. I also have fibromyalgia and this medicine seems to be helping with that as well, perhaps its the vitamin aspect or my hormones finally balancing some. I was very hesitant at first and I'm so glad I gave it a shot! Thank you Bayer!"

"I am 27 years old, and started taking Beyaz a few months ago. I was extremely hesitant about taking this because I was so, -SO- afraid of gaining weight. I have taken other pills in the past that have caused weight gain, nausea, bloating, etc, but this pill has proven me wrong, I have had no side effects, it's actually a bit shocking. So glad my doctor recommended this to me."

"I love Beyaz. The only side effects I have experienced is increase in breast size, increased sex drive and clearer skin. I would strongly recommend trying it. And definitely ask your doctor for the Bayer savings card that makes your first prescription $5 and only $25 for the rest of your prescriptions. I have no prescription insurance coverage so it is fantastic for me because I will never have to pay over $25. Hopefully it is as great for you as it is to me!"

"Previously I was on Yaz for about 5 years and my insurance didn't cover it so I switched to BeYaz. I was on it for a good two years because it's the same thing as Yaz. Personally, I love this birth control. This is the only birth control for me. I suffer from PMDD and this helps me tremendously. And I also suffer from acne, my skin cleared right up in a week. Periods are better and shorter. No weight gain or other side effects. Perfect pill. I highly recommend this birth control."

"I was taking Yaz, but then for whatever reason the company added something to change it to Beyaz. Yaz was seriously a saint for me. Amazing periods, not hormonal at all, great skin, the works! I've been on Beyaz for over a month now, and I have not cried this much since I broke up with the love of my life over a year ago, and I have zero control of my emotions and how I feel. "

"I went on Beyaz 3 months ago and just finished the third pack. I was noticing that I was always tired, nauseous, bloated, stomach pains, and eating all the time. I too thought I was in the early stages of pregnancy because of these symptoms. I started taking the pill because of horrible period cramps that would make me so sick and incapable of doing anything, it helped. Then I started getting really depressed out of nowhere, feeling sad for no reason, trapped in my own body and then that led to anxiety attacks and anxiety about when is the next time I will have this terrible feeling again. Because of that and not being able to sleep I am done with this pill! Thanks to everyone for sharing, I feel comforted to know I wasn't going crazy."

"I'm 16 and I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome about 2 weeks ago. I was basically not getting my period. My pediatrician recommended Beyaz to control my Hormone level and some other things. I was skeptical about taking Birth control because of side effects such as depression and weight gain. I tend to be a very happy and energetic person and honestly I was scared to lose that, I was VERY SURPRISED THOUGH, Beyaz hasn't changed my mood at all, I haven't gained weight and overall I feel fine! Except for its made me TIRED. I work around that though and its no big deal. As for acne, Beyaz controls it amazingly. So far THANK YOU BEYAZ! You're really helping my future."

"The birth control pills I tried before Beyaz made me so emotionally crazy. My academics and social life crumbled to pieces. After stopping those pills my Gyno suggested Beyaz since I have a history of anxiety and depression, and I am SO glad he did. Because of my history and how hormones mess with those conditions, if Beyaz had the same mentally severe side effects I would be forced to forgo birth control altogether. But now my life is back on track and I deal with no emotional or hormonal effects from this pill, no nausea, no weight gain, and only headaches that went away after 2 - 3 months. Thank you BEYAZ."

"I have a history of depression/anxiety which I'm currently treating w medication. I also have had symptoms of PMDD in the past. Beyaz is the ONLY birth control I have tried that completely takes away the PMDD, clears my face, hasn't made me gain weight, etc. I love it. When a generic for Beyaz came out (Rajani), I tried it for 3 months and each month two days before starting my period I had terrible PMDD episodes with extreme depression/ anxiety/ cramping/ migraines. I'm going back to Beyaz."

"This is my first time on BC & after researching many different brands I’m glad I was put on this one. Reading the reviews I was a little hesitant but decided to give it a try & find out how my own experience would go. The first month was rough. Actually the first week I noticed an extreme difference in my irritability/ anxiety. I would get frustrated & annoyed at the drop of a dime. I would cry for absolutely no reason at all. I also experienced nausea & headaches on a daily basis but they eventually went away on their own, my body took some time to adjust but I can say that this form of birth control works well for me. I take it at the same time every day & have had lighter shorter periods with almost no cramping. Prior to BC I had heavier periods & days where I couldn’t even get out of bed due to horrible cramps. My advice, don’t focus too much on the reviews. 9/10 times people will write a NEGATIVE experience as opposed to a positive one."

"I was on Beyaz for one month and had to switch. It made me tired and nauseous. It gave me the WORST headaches. They would last all day and Advil did not take the pain away. Maybe if I waited the whole 3 months, it would've straightened out but I just couldn't deal with the awful headaches. But like everyone says, everyone's body is different. Only pro: my mild acne seemed to clear up."

"I was prescribed Beyaz after being diagnosed (finally) with Polycystic ovarian syndrome. After three months I've lost roughly fifteen pounds, I actually get my period (which for me is a good thing) and I see no other side effects past that that weren't bringing the changes from being put on progestin back to normal. If you have PCOS or similar symptoms, I'd recommend researching it further."

"I’ve been off and on Beyaz for about a year. I was excited to have a regular period and also the birth control factor. I stopped taking it the first time around (after 7 months) because I felt like I was going crazy. I was emotional all the time, and it affected my relationships and my eating habits. I restarted it a couple months ago, and I have to stop taking it again. I get really bad headaches, I have brain fog, and I feel like I’m pregnant because I crave different foods all the time. I don’t want to work out, I don’t have any energy, and my emotions are all over the place - terrible anxiety. I’m not going to say “don’t take this” because every woman is different, and some won’t experience any of these symptoms. But if you are experiencing these symptoms, I suggest talking to your doctor or simply acknowledging how you feel on it. I’m stopping today, and I’ll never go back."

"I have been on BeYaz for 5 months now. I was switched from a normal hormone birth control because it caused terrible breakouts (which I had never had in my life) as well as severe mood swings. At first, I really liked BeYaz. It cleared my skin back up to normal and I didn't notice any changes. Now I am starting to get extremely agitated at the smallest things, crying for no reason, extreme headaches, and am getting cramps like I used to without birth control. I am considering getting off birth control altogether."

"I started taking Beyaz about a month ago. I was originally taking Microgestin for birth control for a little over a year and I started to experience extreme cramps that kept me from classes on some days. I never had problems with acne or mood swings ever, especially while on Microgestin. Now that I'm taking Beyaz I have very bad acne and feel very depressed and lack luster. I normally have a very high sex drive as well and lately it has decreased immensely. Needless to say I will be switching."

"I was on Loestrin FE for 5 years and I was also diagnosed with bi-polar disorder while I was in high school. Loestrin worked for a little bit but I gained 20 pounds quick. I still had sexual desire mentally but my body wouldn't react and I was always too tired or to moody or to emotional. And since I've been on it for a while the side effects seemed like they hit me a second time and it was like my period was playing peek-a-boo with me. But 3 months ago I switched to Beyaz and I've never been more happy and more...well....attacking my fiance. I give Beyaz a 10 and highly recommend it! And I'm 20."

"Being on Beyaz has been, for the most part, fantastic. I originally was put on it to control my acne and heavy periods, and shortly after I began using it for birth control. It has continued to help with my acne, and has lightened/shortened my periods significantly, but over the past year or so I've noticed a vast decrease in my sex drive. It's almost non-existent. I haven't been on any other form of birth control, but I think that Beyaz is a pretty good choice."

"I previously took Lo Loestrin and had depression, breakthrough bleeding and just a general feeling of blah. My MD switched me to Beyaz, and those feelings are gone. And, as a benefit, somehow or another I have lost like 8 lbs in the past month. OF course I exercise regularly, and eat right, but seem to have less of an appetite. Love this pill!"

"I've been on Yaz for years, and like most people I switched to Beyaz because of the saving card. I've only been on it for a month. I have NOT stopped bleeding/spotting since I got my last period. I've tried different birth control over the years and I NEVER had this problem before. If this is the same as Yaz I don't understand why I'm having this issue. I thought about trying it another month, but I'm not sure I can handle bleeding for 60 days if this continues."

"I have been on Beyaz for 5 years, since the age of 23. The 1st few months were rough. I can remember being overly emotional. As an introvert, I could definitely notice the difference but then mellowed out. I had my period for 2-3 days after the first 6 months. After the 1st year I noticed that my period would occasionally skip a month or 2 or would come out brown for 2-3 days after taking the last pill in the pack. My acne was less present, appearing only within the week of my period. Rarely if ever do I feel cramps; Nothing like before the pill. For me, I had initial weight loss but after my body got used to the drug, the weight returned. My migraines are now once a year instead of monthly. I've experienced no change in my sexual drive--still high. In the first year I would always use a condom or Plan B just incase. After STD testing and a monogamous relationship did I stop using extra protection. I can happily say that the birth control has worked thus far."

"I have been on Beyaz for several years (3+). When I first started using the pill, I experienced frequent nausea for almost a year. I gradually switched time of dosage to the evening upon recommendation from my obgyn. The nauesa did clear up. I virtually have no acne. Within the first few years, I did have lighter periods (3-5 day bleeding with minimal cramping). However, in my fourth year of being on this pill, I have been getting my period for only a day. Most times I skip a period entirely. This is due to the thin uterine lining. I did however, develop severe mood swings and panic attacks, which I suffer from daily. I also have had some hair thinning and some weight gain. Loss of libido at first, but it did return after the 1st year."

"Here to give an update! Last time I posted here was the beginning of November so it's been just about 3 months. Please if you're thinking about trying it go for it. Safe to say I absolutely love beyaz, the spotting problem I had went away after the first pack and is normal. I originally went on beyaz for acne and bad periods. My acne has never been better than it is right now. The first month was hard but by the end of the second pack, I started to see serious changes. I'm now onto my fourth pack and I still get a few breakouts (small, maybe 2-3) when I'm on the sugar pills but I'm hoping even those go away soon. I used to bleed through a tampon and onto my clothes within 2 hours and now my period lasts 3-4 days, no cramps. No noticeable side effects, weight gain, headaches, or mood changes. This pill is truly the best thing that has happened to me! I feel confident in myself again. Thank you, beyaz!"

"I had been on Yaz for close to a year and was using the Bayer card program to get my refills for $25. With the intro of Beyaz into the market, Bayer no longer offers the discounted price for Yaz, so my OBGYN switched me over so I could continue to use my savings card. Since Beyaz is the EXACT same as Yaz, just with folate, I expected to feel no different. SO WRONG! I am SO moody on Beyaz, fine one day and insane the next, crying for no reason, terrible all day headaches, and breaking out. I was NEVER like that on Yaz! Luckily my pharmacy has kept both prescriptions active so I can switch back to Yaz and just buy the generic. I miss paying $25 but I will pay $59 to be sane."
