Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have tried all the ADHD medications for my ADD including Vyvanse, Adderall XR, Adderall, Concerta, and Focalin. Dexedrine 15 mg has been the way to go for me!! Not to strong like the others, and helps me get my work done. Great medication was on Adderall XR 30 and felt like I couldn’t breathe definitely don’t recommend the others as they were to strong and quite costly as there were no generics available. Definitely recommend Dexedrine 15mg!"

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have currently been taking Dexedrine spansules for 16 years. 90 mg a day. ADHD had ruined my life up until I was 36 years old. Now all the standard symptoms are under control and have been since I started the medication. I would personally check with a good doctor if you are suffering with this disorder."

Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "After being on what seems like every medication ever formulated over the last 25 years, I finally found something that has dramatically improved my life. I have tried all of the common ADHD drugs - Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin, etc. They all sort of helped, but they also had horrendous side effects, especially on my sleep and my mood. Adderall in particular was harsh on my body - I swear I didn't sleep right for years on that drug. Not to mention terrible vasoconstriction/Raynaud's! Zenzedi (pure dextroamphetamine sulfate) has none of that. In fact, it has even helped me relax quite a bit, which is the whole point of these medications for ADHD in the first place. I cannot recommend this enough. It has dramatically improved my life. I take 30mg x 2 per day and it lasts all day. It is not easy to find, and insurance may not cover it. But it is very much worth it."

For ADHD "I started dextroamphetamine a week ago and the dose is really wide open, anything from 10 MG to 30mg or even 40gm per day. So it feels nice in the morning, I start "coming down" in the afternoon and that is when I overdrive into the 30mg-40 territory. Now I cannot keep this up, it's too much and I need a benzo everyday to calm my nerves. My question to you guys is, is there a settling period (as there are with so many Anx/Dep meds) where our body gets used to the feeling and there is some relief? A sweet spot? At the moment I am all getting high and coming down, every day. Not good.... Any insight would be great"

Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "This medication has helped me tremendously and Is night and day from generic Adderall in effectiveness for me. My two complaints would be recently in Dec 2021 I've had trouble with my Zenzedi 30 mg getting to the pharmacy due to a backorder. It has interfered with my treatment and didn't realize how effective this medicine was until I went back to generic adderall. It has been a very underwhelming change to say the least and on top of it my doctor wrote the prescription for same mg of generic adderall as I was on for Zenzedi and can say anyone that has experienced this knows they are not near equivelant per mg. Second complaint- I recently was laid off from work and lost my insurance that had me at a $30 copay for my medicine. Well no problem I remember the savings card through Arbor Pharma said cash paying patients pay no more than $75, well how dishonest that was. Cheapest I've been able to pay was using a Goodrx for $230 each fill. Not a pleasant experience paying that much!"

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have been on Dexedrine since 2nd grade, I am now 53. Dexedrine was available since the 60s, that's why I was out on it at the time. Adderall and Ritalin came out in the 90s and as brand name marketing was intense ,prescribers switched over to prescribing these medications instead of Dexedrine. Newer, is not necessarily more effective or better. As the prescribing of Adderall and Ritalin became increasingly dominant, it became challenging to find pharmacies that carried Dexedrine in stock, often they would have to special order it, and this process would take several days. Due to this difficulty, my doctor persuaded me to try fist Ritalin, and then Adderall. In comparison to Dexedrine, I found these 2 newer medications not nearly as effective and unpleasant to take. If you've ever taken Adderall or Ritalin, they obviously work as stimulants, like coffee, but a lot less "Jittery". To me, comparing Dexedrine to Adderall is like comparing Adderall to coffee. Far less jittery. Try it."

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Was switched from Adderall XR to generic Dexedrine. I got an ineffective brand of Adderall (yes, some brands are better than others). The positive effects were gone and the negative effects were enhanced. My blood pressure was great, around 102-117 systolic and 75-85 diastolic but my pulse was way too high 110-130. For the most part I loved Dexedrine, it worked very well and without the L-Amphetamine in Adderall my pulse rate was good 85-102. My only complaint was that the length of time it worked was inconsistent. Some days it would last 45 min other days it would last 2 hours. After speaking to my psych doc we decided to switch to Vyvanse instead of having to take 3 or 4 Dexedrine pills a day. Other than length of duration this is great."

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for Narcolepsy "After diagnosis I was prescribed a few other medications with no success until Dexedrine. At first I was prescribed the slow release tablets however they conflicted with my schedule. I've been on Dexedrine for 25 years & have only increased my dosage once - from 40 mg to 45 mg. I have no doubts correct diagnosis & a good doctor literally saved my life"

For ADHD "So far 15mg 3 x a day has really improved my focus and impulsivity. I suddenly realize when I'm distracted and actually have a choice to do what I need to over focusing on random things I'm distracted by. I no longer go to the store for one thing and come back with 48 things forgetting the item I went in for, or lose my keys 5x a day. I don't ramble as much or at least am aware of it when I am rambling. On days I don't take it I see a massive difference. I'm so happy I can live a less stressed, more happy existence."

Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "This was far superior to generic. Gluten-free. No anxiety, no crash, provides me with flexibility with time of dosage. Not quite as effective as the old Dexedrine instant release tablets, but very close. No side effects other than slight dry mouth."

For ADHD "I have taken Dexedrine for many years, at least 20 years. It is the only medication that has helped me live a normal life. I would be anxious and not functional if I had to start with trial doses of other medications, especially when I know this one works. Please do not remove this medication!!!"

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Hands down the worst medication I've ever tried. My Psychiatrist suggested trying a newer ADHD drug but I was enamored by some of the reviews I read on here so I persuaded him to prescribe me Dexedrine. Well what a big mistake. I was given 10mg of Dexedrine and after two weeks of it working it completely backfired. It completely ruined my cognitive abilities. I couldn't do simple math, my depth perception was off, and my time perception was off as well. I was constantly late to appointments, I had to write down everything on the calendar on my phone otherwise I will forget or think I have more time than I actually had. I would be careful with this medication. It might work for you though."

Xelstrym (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I just switched from Daytrana to this because the Daytrana started giving me some nasty health side effects I couldn't live with anymore. Xelstrym, however, was so smooth and it crept through my skin with a small burn but lasting effects. I have severe ADHD and get tired easily when I take my ADHD meds, so I was pretty tired after 3-4 hours of applying it. When I say tired, I just mean my mind wasn't racing about 100 billion things, and I could actually sit down and think about one topic, like a normal human, without babbling myself through 90 different topics before I am done speaking. I still have yet to take it off (at about 5 hours in), but I wanted to leave my thoughts here... Always take breaks from these meds, guys, because they do mess with your dopamine, serotonin, and other happy brain chemicals. If you don't take a break, you will have a lot harder time stopping these meds when you will eventually have to."

For ADHD "Dextroamphetamine IR (or Zenzedi) is hands down the best ADHD medication I have ever been prescribed. I've been on and off stimulants since middle school (25 years old now) and have tried every medication besides Focalin and Desoxyn. Zenzedi is wonderful because not only does it manage my symptoms much better than Adderall, for example, it also does so with absolute minimal side effects. It doesn't destroy my appetite, it's easier to get to sleep at night, it doesn't make me irritable or agitated and I'm much less jittery and sweaty (as a result of more CNS stimulation and less PNS). I can also achieve the same effect with a lesser amount of medication (2 x 10mg IR vs 1 x 30mg XR and 1 x 10mg IR). Zenzedi is also surprisingly affordable if you can find a local pharmacy that keeps it in stock. It only ran me $90 before my insurance would cover it vs $200 for Adderall at Walgreens, which usually won't even have Zenzedi in stock. 100% recommended."

For ADHD "At 53,andtwo weeks ago I was diagnosed with ADHD after my 23 year old son was diagnosed with ADD and questions being brought up about my ADHD behaviours. The last two weeks have been the best and most peaceful of my life. Over so many years I have developed ways to deal with my advanced ADHD but I always felt like I was living on top of life and not within it. Most of my day was pushing against unknown anxieties constant head noise and almost unnatural abilities to work within chaotic events. Probably because my whole being was a chaotic mess. Just 2 weeks and oh the joy of peace but still with energy. Oh the ability to think on one subject at a time without locking into super hyper focus shut out the world mode . Did I say oh the peace "

Dextrostat (dextroamphetamine) for Sexual Dysfunction, SSRI Induced "I'm currently 36 years of age, male, 6"2 240 lbs. I was diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder with agoraphobia at 16 by three separate psychiatrists and went through the usual merry-go-round of SSRIs until finding something that worked, which turned out to be Lexapro in the morning and Cymbalta at night, which preserved my sexual function. Lexapro twice a day killed it. These days, I've been suffering with fibromyalgia for 8 years and take Klonopin 2mg twice a day, Flexeril 10mg four times daily, Celebrex 200mg twice daily, Celexa 40mg in the morning, Xanax 2mg when required and Ritalin 20mg twice daily. Between the fibro fatigue and "fog" I felt nearly narcoleptic. Adding Dextrostat 60mg when required has solved the issues perfectly."

Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "It works well, strong enough at 20mg, only lasts as long Adderall. Needs to be redosed later on in the day. I feel that it has more focusing power than Dexedrine spaniels 15, Ritalin ir 20, or adderall ir 20, however I notice some serious clenched jaw and an urge to grind teeth even into the next day while not taking it. It’s strong and effective, however I would also like to mention, the feeling of withdrawal from 1 day of this medication reminds me of the withdrawal of months on adderall. It’s definitely a great medication, and I remember thinking it has fewer side effects and greater consistency than generics. I would also like to add I’ve been diagnosed ADHD since I was 7, and have been on most every ADHD medication and even with record of this my insurance continues to deny covering this medication, even after countless phone calls."

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "I have been on Vyvanse prescribed for over 8 years prior to taking Dexedrine and It does have a plethora of side effects. Vyvanse caused intense anger and anxiety and it made me feel different and just zombied out. Dexedrine to me is the cleaner version of Adderall and Vyvanse. It is not as intense as both of them and just seems a lot better."

For Fatigue "As per the last review, I’ve also suffered from CFS for 10 years. Unfortunately it was extremely difficult to find medical providers who believed my struggles & were willing to look outside the square! I was almost fully couch bound for 5 years which resulted in losing my self built successful business, my house & my independence! I’d been trialled on multiple useless medications which led to nothing but hideous side effects & no relief! Finally I found an empathetic doctor who understood my frustration & debilitating struggles & prescribed this stimulant! It has been an absolute game changer in terms of my cognitive functioning & has allowed me to get some quality of life back & the confidence to drive safely. Without this medication I think I would have probably given up. For anyone with persistent chronic fatigue issues this medication is absolutely worth trying! It’s not a cure but it has most certainly been life changing for myself"

For ADHD "Recently diagnosed with adult ADHD. Prescribed dextroamphetamine 3 x per day at 10 mg. Because I suffer extreme anxiety and an active racing mind with various clusters of thoughts going on at any given time I was anxious about taking this medication thinking it would amplify it all. Taking this medicine has helped slow the mind to a point I can pick and choose what I allow myself to think about, I feel so much more in control which is amazing. There is a level of anxiety still but its manageable and not overwhelming like it was before taking dextroamphetamine, I feel like I am the driver of my mind and not the passenger anymore. It has helped to regulate my emotional instability. I am also on 100 mg of Pristiq which seems to compliment the overall effect."

For ADHD "It's quite effective on helping you focus. It's smooth sailing. As long as I eat something small while on it or a few small meals, I won't get any changes in my mood which I have gotten many times due to not eating. Sometimes though, I'll hyper focus on one task at hand as opposed to everything I have to do throughout the day. I have to say it's one of the best stimulants though. And have not gotten any side effects when I didn't take it for a few days."

Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) "I've had daily debilitating depression for over twenty years. About ten years in, my doctor gave me Dexedrine. For a while, it allowed me to have some level of joy, but it changed over the years. It still lifts my mood, but only very lightly, so it takes me from hopeless to fighting. I'll take that. The bad part is it suppresses my cognitive abilities and vocabulary and memory. But what's the alternative, complete failure to function in any meaningful way? No, thank you. I take 30mg every 4-5 hours, 2 to 3 times a day. I try to take Excedrin Migraine to lessen the headaches and body pain Dexedrine causes. I wish I had a doctor that would prescribe me a strong benzo for the end of the day when I crash, but hey, that's habit-forming. Jeez, all these antidepressants are habit-forming. Effexor, for instance, if I stop taking it for one day, I get physically ill and get brain zaps. Anyway, God bless you. I hope you find peace."

Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine) for ADHD "Over the past 10 years I have been on a variety of different medications to help treat my ADHD. These include Adderall (which was my go-to until recently), Vyvanse, Ritalin, Focalin and Adzenys. I never loved any of them but out of that list I found Adderall the most tolerable. Recently I read online about Zenzedi and asked my doctor if I could try it. It was a bit of a hassle to find a pharmacy that carried it, but I eventually got a supply for a month. I am so glad I did. This is by far the most effective and side effect free of any / all of the ADHD medicines I have tried. It gives me the focus and motivation headspace that Adderall provides without the amped up, heart pacing feeling that makes me uncomfortable and anxious. Also, unlike Vyvanse it doesn’t last forever so I have better control over how to time my 2 doses during the day. Overall, an excellent medication!"

They all had HORRIBLE side effects causing me high anxiety & I also suffer from PTSD so you can image struggle. I'm a mother of 3 kids, work part time, & own a successful business. Without Dexedrine I doubt I'd be as successful. It's a miracle drug."

For ADHD "30 years old, had ADD my whole life and never tried anything for it, except for an Adderall XR 30mg once for studying and an Adderall 30mg tab for studying as well (XR kept me focused and tab didn't work). I just ended my first 5.5 hour dexamphetamine high and highly recommend it! Things that normally bothered me, like sounds (I also have S4) or my kids misbehaving didn't bother me at all. The background emotions that would constantly distract me under stress were gone. I was focused, calm, felt a bit high/numb and thirsty. I must have drank a gallon of water and peed 4 times. It kicked in about 40 minutes after taking it and lasted about 5.5 hours. Gradual onset and gradual come-off. Got a lot of studying done and retained the info."
