For Birth Control "I am just now finishing out my first month on this BC and it's seeming to work very well. I have gained weight in all the right places and haven't had any horrible side effects. With that being said, I have been bleeding since I started taking the pill. I'm hoping that after I take the placebos and start the next pack that the problem will fix itself. I have also been emotional, but nothing that I can't handle. I would most likely recommend this to a friend."

For Birth Control "I started this when I was 13, for heavy period relief. Pros- No weight gain, shortened my period from 7-8 to 4-5 days. Cons- Before Reclipsen, I never had cramps, moodiness, or really ANY period symptoms or PMS, although my period lasted for 7-8 days and was very heavy, it was honestly pretty easy going. After I began Reclipsen, my period was shortened to 4-5 days but it took about 3 days of active pills for it to start, and two of my inactives for it to stop. This hasn't stopped. I started getting cramps, moodiness, and extremely bad PMS. I used to act NO different on my period than off, but since starting Reclipsen it's been much worse."

For Birth Control "I was using a smaller dose of birth control before Reclipsen and started to spot after two months. I switched to Reclipsen and it has regulated my periods very well (even up to the right hour each time). I have been using it for 6 months now. I am mostly responsible with taking the pill everyday on time. I noticed some weight gain but could also be due to other factors. My weight has been consistent after the initial weight gain (no new diets or different exercises). In the beginning, I noticed episodes of mood swings, but have been managing them pretty well."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for 2 months going on my third pack tomorrow. I do not like this pill, the first month was bad, I had so many bad headaches every week. And the second month around the time I am supposed to have my period was so bad. "

For Birth Control "I took reclipsen for 2.5 years. It was wonderful! Only now that I haven't been taking it have I had acne and weight gain. I just refilled my prescription for it! I do a 9 week cycle. 9 weeks of active pills then a period week and repeat. Wonder wonderful. Also, it did not decrease my sex drive in any way. Maybe it even boosted it? Works amazingly. No pregnancies and much better periods. Mine were 13-16 days long and so heavy that in the first few days I would often fall back down after standing. With it they were about a week long and manageable."

For Birth Control "First month was absolutely horrible. This is my first birth control pill. The nausea seemed to occur 2 hrs after taking the pill (I take it at 3pm everyday). I was also unmotivated and felt like my back ached all the time. Then it got better. I don't get headaches anymore. But looking back, I definitely gained weight, like A LOT. I didn't lose my sex drive. Anyway, I'm okay now."

For Birth Control "I always feel pressure or bloating in my abdomen area but other than that I haven't gotten any acne or change in mood. I find it strange that my muscles aren't or won't get as toned. I still have the same workout routine, but I feel I have to work a bit harder to get back to where I was before the pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for about two years now and am switching off of it. I was previously on another birth control that was to low of a dose when I switched over to Reclipsen. Although it has prevented pregnancy the mood swings and weight gain have been enough for me to finally get rid of it. My periods and cramps were also still seven days and severe."

For Birth Control "I was on Reclipsen for at least a year. My periods were always set and wouldn't last a full week, they'd generally last around 3 days with moderate bleeding. I never got any acne really, I would maybe get one pimple a month closer to when I was about to start my period. My mood seemed fine. I never had any spotting. Now that I think about it I did have a lower sex drive. Overall, I would recommend Reclipsen! I recently switched birth control through no choice of my own but I'm seriously debating on going back to Reclipsen."

For Birth Control "I'm 19 and have been on this birth control since I was 16. I love it so much I've never noticed any bad side effects. I have gained weight but that's probably because I've gotten older. I recently just switched to the nuvaring because I am horrible at remembering to take the pill and am more sexually active now."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen (Desogen) , the first birth control I've been on. And I have to say I love it. I always have clear, soft skin, love my periods for being on time, I knew what hour it would come, and when it ends, it was perfect. So I have been on Reclipsen for 1 year and 6 months and I started realizing crazy mood swings during the placebo pills (the PMS week) and my mood would be irritable then happy, it was bipolar, I also realized a lot of hair loss (but then again I really have thick hair), I also realized shortness of breath super easily. I already talked to my doctor about switching. My doctor switched me to Seasonale, I'm kind of nervous switching."

For Birth Control "I went on Reclipsen due to severe cramping and heavy bleeding during my periods. It solved that problem, but I had NO libido whatsoever and I was very emotionless. I also gained 10 pounds in the 5 months I was on it and I work out regularly and eat healthy."

For Birth Control "This birth control although effective gave me the worst acne of my entire life. I have been off for 6 months now and around month 4 my hormones started to regulate again and my face looks so much better. Now I’m just working to get rid of the scarring and uneven skin tone. I tried many different things while taking this birth control to help with breakouts but nothing worked!!!! If you are breaking out and taking this switch or get off BC all together ."

For Birth Control "Has been effective at preventing pregnancy. I've decided to stop taking it due to side effects. The first 2 months my breasts were extremely tender. I experienced some depression symptoms and mood problems in the first month, which I initially thought went away, but I think I just got used to them. Looking back, I've been WAY more emotional at times (cry at least 2-3 times a week now, used to cry 2-3 times a year) and also fairly flat (don't really get excited about anything anymore). My sex drive has been almost non-existent while on Reclipsen. I used to be keen like all the time and now even extensive foreplay can't really get me going, which makes it pretty pointless to even be on it. Periods are short and light, which I will miss."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this BC for about 4 months, it was great until the last month when I started getting headaches, quick heartbeats, lose of sleep. I gained weight in all the right areas so that was a plus. But I can't put up with the headaches, I'm tired all the time and total loss in sex drive (which is weird because I think about sex all the time). Made me cry here and there but no serious emotional outbreaks. I switched to Azurette so we will see."

For Birth Control "I was very nauseated especially in the mornings. More importantly, my long, thick hair began falling out in clumps. I lost about a third of my hair. I was so nervous about it that I called my doctor and he told me that I was suffering from synchronized hair loss and that can be a side effect of this medication. I have since stopped taking it and I am not losing as much hair now. My doc said that this drug should be out of my system in two to three weeks."

For Birth Control "I began taking Reclipsen during February of 2015. Developed cystic acne. I've always had a few spots here and there, but nothing like this. I even switched to all-organic skin products which helped a little. I developed insane headaches. I became extremely emotional and began crying at the drop of a hat, where in the past, I could count on 2 hands how many times I would cry per year. WORST OF ALL, I gained 20 lbs from Feb-Oct 2015. I exercise, have a plant-based diet, and I'm 22 so my metabolism hasn't quite slowed yet. No excuse for that and not flattering on a 5'4" frame. It prevented pregnancy (thus 2/10), but the side effects aren't worth enduring this pill. Switching to ParaGard in a week and a half. No more hormones for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for over 3 years now. Pros - still not pregnant, no weight gain. It also clears up any face/back acne so that my skin is flawless, except I do break out a little during the placebo week. Cons - it makes me more prone to feeling depressed/sad for no reason. The biggest con is that it definitely affected my sex drive though, my libido dropped so much that my bf encouraged me to get off Reclipsen, which I did. The difference was noticable. Problem is, I still don't feel comfortable with only using condoms, so after 3 months off it, I started again. This time I'm going to pay really close attention to side effects and compare it."

For Birth Control "Wonderful birth control..I have been on the same birth control for 3.5 years now. I cannot fully remember the beginning of taking the birth control. It took a month or so to get adjusted. But after that everything is great. No pregnancy's, no bloating, no emotional freak outs, no depression, no painful periods but on the negative side my acne has stayed the same so it doesn't help much on acne. Also my previous birth control of sprintec made my breasts humongous and now that I am on this birth control my boobs have shrank a ton and almost don't feel or look as full as they were before ever being on birth control. BUT...I am an athlete and this birth control works really well...looking for a new birth control maybe to help with some acne."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for over three years. It has regulated my period, making it faster and lighter. It help controls my acne. It's helped prevent pregnancy. CONS: I get severe migraines to the point where I take over the counter headache relief like candy and still doesn't help, sometimes end up vomiting from the severity of the pain. I was overweight (230) when I started it, and I gained more weight within the past three years (260). I exercise by walking on a treadmill for 45 min everyday and I eat pretty decently for a college kid. I have not been able to lose any weight, despite my efforts. I never experienced cramps before and I don't while on this BC either."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 3 months now, I agree that it made my periods much lighter which is nice, only 1-2 days reg period and then light spotting. No weight gain as of yet. This birth control was recommended to me bc I had complained of acne and cramps to my doc, acne is coming in 1-2 weeks prior to my period, just little pimples here and there but more than I'd like. Cramps are minimal. I do feel down sometimes, and have mood swings here and there, more of a funk than depressive, taking B complex as a supplement helps. I've decided to give Nexplanon a try, but if it doesnt work out, I'd stick with this birth control."

For Birth Control "I have been on Riclipsen for just about a year and since I've been on it I've experienced weight gain (9 pounds), mood swings, and very very emotional. This pill made me cry for every single little thing, and I mean cry like someone had died. I've always had mild acne and it did not help it what's so ever. I've always had heavy periods and it helped with them. Kept me from getting pregnant but that was about it."
