For Birth Control "I first started using Reclipsen about a year ago. The first thing that I noticed was that my libido was noticeably reduced, (which was a bit annoying,) and my overall emotions were dulled a bit, so that I was more indifferent to things than before. (Although I don't particularly mind this, that might be a breaking point for someone else.) I tried Enskyce for a bit, and ended up switching back due to side effects. Reclipsen works better for me, and keeps my periods light and regular. I've never had an issue with weight gain or acne, so that's something to be considered, as well. All in all, I'm happy with it."

For Birth Control "Started this years ago due to a cyst that formed on my ovary. Stopped taking it after the cyst got smaller and eventually dissolved. A few yrs later I spoke with my doctor about starting back on birth control. He put me on another pill for 3 months but I hated it. Had mood swings, irregular periods etc. Told him about what I was experiencing and he said my body had to adjust. Tried it for 2 more months and still had bad symptoms so I requested to be put back on reclipsen. It has worked really well. My periods are regular and no adverse effects. I have now been on this consistently for several years."

For Birth Control "I took reclipsen for around 10 years with no issues. My doctor said I could ride this out until age 50 as I didn't have any risk factors (except age as I was over 40). Out of the blue, I got a groin to knee DVT and the cause was this stupid pill!!!! I am so very lucky it didn't become a PE and I could have suffered a horrible disability or worse. 7 months later and I still have long term effects from the DVT and the damage to my leg caused by it. When I asked by doctor if they would be reporting as an adverse reaction to the FDA, she said "oh, they already know." which tells me, the side effects (especially the serious ones) are under-reported!!!!! Find another method of BC!!!! This isn't worth it!"

For Birth Control "This birth control made me extremely depressed and suicidal. I also had mild cramps, tender breasts, and acne. No spotting so far, but I am going to finish this month and stop taking the pills. I probably will not try any form of hormones for birth control again after this experience."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill because I've been in a relationship for awhile and wanted to be safe once we decided to start having sex. I've now been on it for four months and my experience has been terrible. For the first three months I had severe stomach pain which led to a loss of appetite and a decrease of 15lbs. I mean it's great that I lost some weight but it wasn't healthy for my body to go through that. I also continue to experience fatigue. I have little motivation because I am exhausted from the slightest amount of activity. I also feel very sad constantly. I cry almost every day and my mood swings have caused strain on my relationship."

For Birth Control "I am 42 and have never been on bc for very long. Last attempt I was on Nuevo Ring and wound up with a huge clot in my leg after a couple of weeks. First few weeks was a bit rocky on this one. Felt bloated a little moody etc but I am midway through 2nd month and my body has stabilized. I may have had PCOS, definitely had a hormonal imbalance (elevated dhea-s) and am relieved to no longer have super oily/thinning hair, dark hairs popping up on my chin, super heavy periods. I was able to get my cycles down to 33 days and more normalized prior to starting but it is great coming down to 28. Sex drive was good before but even better. I am a person who does not like pills and is afraid of side effects but so far the side effects are minimal"

For Birth Control "I take the pill at the same time every day and it has been effective in preventing pregnancies, however my sex drive is now non-existent whereas before I had an extremely high sex drive. I also have vaginal dryness now which is very annoying. Haven't had any other issues besides that but it is frustrating to deal with at times."

For Birth Control "I loved being on Reclipsen. I started taking it when I was 20 and had no side effects, probably because I was active in college and had other things to distract me. I'm now 26 and stopped taking Reclipsen so my husband and I can start trying for a baby, so far the effects of coming off Reclipsen have been horrible. I can't wait to get pregnant and have babies so I can go back on Reclipsen!"

For Birth Control "I was using Reclipsen for 6 months. During the regular checkup at the doctor after those 6 months she noticed my elevated blood pressure of 150/103, which stayed like that while it was monitored everyday for 2 weeks after it was noticed. The doctor told me to discontinue taking the pills. Once I stopped taking the pills, after only one day, the blood pressure dropped to 135/86. I had never had a high blood pressure before taking these pills."

For Birth Control "I haven't taken any BC in 5 years since the birth of my daughter. Before that I was on ortho tri-cyclen which was great and I never had any symptoms. My doc recommended Reclipsen since it's the same amount of hormones each day and the other one I mentioned has different hormone levels each week. I've been on this pill a total of 2 weeks and I feel nauseous, no appetite, exhausted, stomach cramps, boobs are sore, and weak. I get a weird chest pain sometimes and my anxiety is crazy high. I also feel so moody. Everything bothers me and sometimes I feel like I can't breathe. My face has been breaking out more than when I wasn't taking the pill. I AM NOT TAKING THIS PILL ANYMORE ! I barely feel bad side affects like this with medications."

For Birth Control "I started taking Reclipsen about a week ago. I have had migraines, mood swings, and I have broken out in hives and gotten rashes several times as well. I will keep being on it for a little while but I will be calling my doctor because the hives are not normal."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about a week now and I've noticed some changes. I've been spotting daily which is annoying to say the least. I also had a headache for the first couple of days. Something else that hasn't been pleasant is the feeling of bloatedness. All of these symptoms come and go, and they're not unbearable when they are present. One thing that is confusing however, is I was told that my libido would be decreased with this pill and its been the complete opposite. And so far I have not noticed any weight gain."

For Birth Control "I have been taking reclipsen for 3 months (just finished my third package). I was on Yaz for one year, then Lutera, and now am on Reclipsen. Out of the 3, Reclipsen is hands down my favorite. I stopped taking Yaz after reading scary reviews online, and hearing negative reviews from other women I know. The side effects I experienced were noticable. I experienced a lot of spotting between periods, and if I forgot to take the pill at the exact same time every day, my period started right away--sometimes just hours later! Lutera made my fairly-clear skin break out, and made me EXTREMELY moody and often depressed. The main side effect I have noticed with Reclipsen is breast growth. At least a cup size this last month! (no complaints)."

For Birth Control "I have been taking the pill for about 5 months and I've noticed a few things. PROS: I haven't gotten pregnant!! My periods are 4 days on the dot and I don't have any acne or cramping. CONS: I've always cried easily but now I cry at least once a day if not more. I am irritable and can get extremely angry very easily and I used to be a very easy going person. My period doesn't start until my 3rd or 4th placebo pill. I get nauseated in cars if I am not the driver. I crave weird food that I never usually eat and I'm exhausted all the time."

For Birth Control "I have been using this BC for years and really like it. No pregnancy or side effects. I briefly tried a different generic and it gave me side effects, though Reclipsen doesn't. I agree with the comments that everyone's body is different -- even my sister uses a different brand than I do. Find what is right for you!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this bc for 4 months. Since then, I've experienced nausea every single day. I have no appetite and barely eat anything but I still haven't lost weight. I have no sex drive(and TMI but very dry)and I'm a raging bitch most days! I have head aches every single day 24/7 and I'm tired constantly. My dr told me this bc is good for those with acne but I have had horrible break outs that I can't stop!I forgot to take my pill today and just realized that I haven't experienced any of these symptoms at all! I am the type of person who will experience every possible side effect of a medication though so do consider that. I still wouldn't recommend it!!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for about two years now. It does it's job by preventing pregnancy and I get my periods regularly. I haven't tried skipping my period yet though. Closer to my period I get moody but what girl doesn't, I also crave weird things while on my period. I started to get migraines, I'm not sure if it is because of the birth control however. I used to get then really bad about a year into taking birth control but now my migraines are less frequent. Like I said, I'm not sure if it is because of the medication or not. Otherwise my face is clear, always has been. I didn't gain any weight nor my hair didn't grow. I plan to keep being on Reclipsen but it can be annoying to take a pill everyday."

For Birth Control "Reduced my libido to absolutely nothing, daily migraines, cystic acne, cramps became worse, I had no emotions, hair loss/lifeless hair, and I gained 8 pounds within one month of starting this birth control. I just stopped taking this medication and hopefully my body will be able to get back to normal. I have taken other birth control medications in the past and none of them affected me like this one so just beware of reclipsen."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for a month. I started it to see if it would decrease my flow and cramps. My mood dropped drastically when I first started. Depression usually last for a period time, so I wasn't depressed. However, my mood was very low to the point that it was scary. When my period came it felt like the worst ever. My flow and cramps were bad. I have other side effects as well, such as nausea and headaches. I'm going to see if my body adjust to it for two more months only because I need a solution for my periods. I've been on birth control in the past and I've never had these side effects."

For Birth Control "I've taken this birth control for 6-7 months now, and have been happy with my experience. At first, it definitely affected my mood and made me noticeably more irritable than before. However, I stuck with it and my mood has improved. It cleared my skin, and my acne is more controlled that it has been in years. It eliminated almost all cramps that come with my period, and my period is much shorter than before. It has also been effective in preventing pregnancy. All around, I've been happy with Reclipsen. If anything, my only complaint would be a slight rise in moodiness that has been manageable with time."

For Birth Control "I was on reclipsen for years. For me, I DID make my periods lighter, and helped with severe cramps, and cleared my acne, boobs bigger. On the downside, I put on about 10 lbs, that I COULD NOT get rid of. I felt bloated all the time. I quit gluten, I quite carbs, my sisters thought I had an eating disorder. I had chronic yeast infections too. I finally went off it, and the weight FELL off. At first I attributed it to the fact I was walking more. But then I went back on 3 packs ago, and back up 8lbs. I'm still still as active (per fitbit). It's back to constantly feeling fat and bloated. None of my clothes fit, my sleep is always interrupted. I'm hot/cold/hot cold."

For Birth Control "I've read a lot of the reviews, and I do relate to the shortened 4 days of real bleeding. The remaining 3 days is light spotting, if that. I used to bleed really heavily for almost 7 days and immediately after I started the first placebo. I chose reclipsen b/c my last bc was causing melasma (pigment patches on my face). I don't see that as much with reclipsen, b/c it's a low dose pill. Other than that, my period on bc have always been less painful. I don't know if I can contribute weight gain or migraines to this pill....too many other factors. I think it does what it needs to with no side effects that I know of, and that's all I need from a bc. So I definitely recommend it."

For Birth Control "I was having a very hard time finding a pill that controlled my periods- I would be on a pill and get my period in the middle of my cycle or when I wasn't supposed to- or it would start too early or too late after the sugar pills. My doc suggested higher hormones, and I have been on Reclipsen for almost 2 years. It regulated and shortened periods- no breasts or weight gain, mild acne improvement. But it took me a long time to realize how nasty some of the emotional side effects have been! It brought out the worst in me (hyper sensitive, on edge, almost "bipolar" at times) and for the past 6 months I've also had extreme depression. So I am switching to Yaz which is supposed to help a lot with the emotional stuff due to lower estradiol."

For Birth Control "I started taking this due to a hormone imbalance about four months ago. My period the first month was the most painful thing I have ever experienced (more painful than my appendix gluing itself to my internal organs with scar tissue), but my subsequent periods have been mostly painless besides dull cramping. Whenever I go from the placebo week to the actual hormones again, I am excessively nauseous and spend way too much time in the bathroom dry heaving. My appetite for food and sex has been shot, and my weight has remained the same regardless of activity level. I think the worst thing though is the crying. Before this pill, I was a pretty even-keeled person. Every week or so, I have a night where I become completely inconsolable."
