Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I started originally on Tri-Sprintec for about 3 months, which I believe is the generic of Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I was an emotional wreck, so my doctor switched me to Apri. I had absolutely NO symptoms whatsoever. I actually lost weight! Didn't increase my bra size, which could have been from the losing weight part. My acne cleared up within 2 months of starting Apri. It made my period so regular that I knew to the day down to the hour that I would start my period, with absolutely no spotting in between periods. I didn't really notice any changes in my sex drive. Overall, I would strongly recommend this pill!

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I've taken about every Pill on the market, and this is by far the best. I've never had a problem with my drive while on this formulation of the Pill. Actually, my drive is more normal than it's been than with the other pills, especially the Ortho line and Seasonale. I have had no side effects other than my appetite has increased, but there is a such thing as self-control, so other than watching what and how often I eat, I love Apri!

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I was previously on Yaz both for birth control and to reduce my mild acne. I am normally a very happy optimistic person, yet this pill made me depressed and very moody. I switched to Apri, it's been 4 months, and I love it. I am not moody at all, and haven't gained any weight.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been on Apri birth control for 3 years now. I give it a 3 for the fact that it in fact helped me to get and regulate my period, at the very late age of 22. And that I am not pregnant. But I have worse acne now than I did when I was 13. I have gained a lot of weight on my hips and stomach. I have the worst mood swings and my sex drive is completely gone. It has caused a lot of problems in my relationship since I started taking it.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: My wife has taken Apri since January 2007. We were married on July 28th 2007. It has SERIOUSLY messed up her sex drive. I'm sure happy we aren't pregnant but a pill that keeps someone from wanting sex AT ALL isn't exactly what I was thinking when she got onto Apri.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been taking Apri for at least two years and have never had any problems with it. Some say it lowers sex drive but my sex life has stayed the same. This is the best pill I have taken. I have taken a lot of different kinds and I get serious headaches from taking the others. This is the only pill that I have had no side effects from. I only have my period for 2 days and they are very light. If you are in the market for a great birth control this is it. You will feel like normal and you wont have heavy periods. So take Apri.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: My doctor prescribed Apri to me as birth control and to make my periods more regular and less painful. Well, I'm still not pregnant, and my periods are completely predictable and manageable. Before I started this medication my periods were sometimes debilitating. In addition to being less painful, my periods last for fewer days now that I take Apri. There are so many horror stories about birth control pills, but I'm proof that they do work for some people.

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: This pill worked fine for birth control, but I felt really down for about 2 weeks before my period. My mood swings were horrible.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I switched over from Yaz to Apri and am on my 4th month. I was originally on Ocella which made me gain 20+ pounds. Yaz was awesome, but I lost insurance and the clinic didn't carry it so they put me on Apri. So far I haven't gained weight, my periods are regular, but I have had an EXTREME decrease in sex drive, enough to affect my relationship.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: Been taking Apri for about 2 1/2 months and I've gained about 10lbs, my sex drive is extremely low and I'm really moody for no apparent reason. It's really interfering with my relationship. I also have been having chest pains and I feel a heaviness in my chest when I wake up. When my period came on after the first month I had really bad cramps. The only reason I gave it a 3 is because I have an irregular period and it came on time while taking Apri.

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been using Kariva for five months now and it's been pretty good. I had some itching, mood swings, spotting and lowered sex drive in the first two months. After the first three months all the side effects were gone and I've been feeling great with the pill ever since. I had no weight loss or gain and over all good health. Just wanted to share.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: This is my 1st month taking the pill. I don't know why people are saying that their sex drive is gone. It has not affected me that way at all. The only problem for me is that it makes me have more discharge. After researching, the pill does this to make it harder for sperm to reach the uterus which is fine by me! I have cramps for about 2 days, and my periods are short. No weight gain at all, no bigger boobs either but it beats having babies! I also used to feel sick but I don't know if it's because of the pill.

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been on Kariva for a few months now. I switched from Loestrin 24 FE and could not be happier. My period comes like clockwork with Kariva and I am no longer a moody, crazy person. Although my periods are not lightened by this pill I do not care, I am extremely happy with it.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I started taking Apri about 7 months ago. My breats got noticeably larger within the first few weeks and I gained about 10 pounds, but I'm a thin girl anyway so I gladly take on the extra few pounds and curves. I got prescribed this birth control because of my ovarian cysts and since I have not had any problems with them. They've been unnoticeable and my cramps don't even exist anymore. I love Apri and it's affordable. Just what I need in this economic clash.

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I love Apri. I tried another birth control, and it made me so depressed, but on Apri I feel just fine. The only problem is that in 18 months on the pill I have gained about 20 pounds, with very little change in my diet and exercise. It is SO HARD to lose weight on Apri.
Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been on this pill for about a year and I have lost 30 pounds. I am a little bit more moody but I think that it is worth it.
Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: First time on birth control and was nervous that I'd have the horrible side effects that I've heard about online and through friends. Went on Apri and have never had ANY side effects (nausea, weight gain, etc.). I think that the horror stories you hear are the exception, not the rule. My Dr. said that she's prescribed Apri for first time birth control users for years and has never had any complaints about it. Got it for $15/month at first and am now paying $25 through WalMart. Other than the disappointment in price increase, I think that I will be taking Apri for a long time.
Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: So I was put on the birth control Kariva and I never got pregnant and it was the only form of birth control I used, so in that effect it worked. However, I experienced severe migraines that were bad enough. They checked me for a tumor, decreased sex drive, tired, nervous, dizziness, weight change, appetite change, and numbness on the left arm and hand. I have been off this birth control for just a few weeks and I am already feeling back to normal.
Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have taken Apri since February 2009, and I love it! I think I've gotten slightly moodier, but that is the only negative side effect I've had. My boobs have gotten much bigger, and I haven't seen the decrease in sex drive that many others are seeing. It's pretty much the same for me, and I've been on Apri for about 8 or 9 months. As far as periods go, Apri hasn't changed it very much except for the wonderful gift of knowing when it's coming. I've always had short periods (4 days average), and it hasn't changed. Overall, I love Apri.
Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I been on Apri for 3 weeks now and I feel that I been eating a lot. It is non-stop eating, all day long. Am always hungry and I haven't checked my weight. I been on 3 different birth control pills in less than 3 months and I think that Apri is alright so far. No mood swings, some acne though. I was nauseous on the very first day I took the pill and I am still sensitive to smells. It made my period lighter and shorter so far.
Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: Apri is the first birth control I have tried and so far I'm very impressed! I have only been taking Apri for 3 weeks but I've had almost no side effects. I had some light spotting for the first 2 weeks but it has completely stopped now. My breasts have gotten slightly larger and my sex drive has increased. I randomly threw up once but I think that was because of what I ate not the pill. I've had no increase or decrease in my appetite or weight, hair seems almost thicker and I had no acne break out. So far I LOVE THIS PILL!
Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I love this birth control pill. It's my second month on, and I haven't had trouble with any negative side effects. I used to have horrible periods (horrible cramps, puking, the whole nine yards) but now there's only light cramping on the first day. Shorter, lighter period for sure. I haven't gained any weight- if at all, I've lost a few pounds. I used to have some trouble with breakouts, but my skin is clear as can be now. The only thing I've noticed is I'm a bit moodier, but I don't want blame that on Kariva since my relationship's going through a rough patch. Everyone's different, but Kariva definitely worked amazingly for me.
Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been using this birth control for about 3 months. I had no serious side effects. I got bigger breasts and perhaps thicker thighs. I did not gain weight because I still weigh the same. Perhaps, I was working out too much (about 3-5 per week) that I gained more muscle on my thighs. There were no mood problems or spotting. I think maintaining healthy diet and working out helps not only to maintain your weight but also be healthy emotionally too.
Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I switched to this from Ortho Tri Lo almost a year ago. I have had crazy mood swings. Seriously, I can be the happiest person in the world one minute, the next I can be super angry or super depressed. My flow is real light but breakthrough bleeding in between periods have happened more often.
