Shortness of Breath In Pregnancy

Pregnant women have a slightly increased risk of developing blood clots in the legs. This often causes swelling in just one leg, usually accompanied by discomfort or pain. Such clots can break away and travel to the lungs. Since one leg is more swollen than the other, contact your doctor, nurse, or midwife right away.
