Rectal Bleeding

Rectal bleeding is especially concerning if you are having symptoms that could result from colon cancer or from another serious illness. Please review the following symptoms that should raise additional concern:

• weight loss

• soaking night sweats

• stools that are much less frequent than is usual for you

• stools that are mostly made out of mucus

• stools that are never wider than a pencil.
