Rash in Newborns

Many babies, especially those from Asian, black, Hispanic, and Native American families, have these birthmarks on their bodies. They occur most commonly on the lower back and buttocks but can happen anywhere on the body. Sometimes called "Mongolian spots," they are harmless and tend to go away by two years of age.
