Heart Palpitations
Although it may feel like skipped beats, the sensation is caused by premature electrical activity in the upper chambers (premature atrial beats) or lower chambers (premature ventricular beats) of the heart. These "extra" beats are not dangerous but it can produce an uncomfortable sensation since we don't normally feel our heart beating.
You shouldn't have any other symptoms besides the palpitations. If you do, call for advice now.
