Fever in Children

You've said your child doesn't have a cough, runny nose, sore throat, or bad earache.

A urinary tract infection is another cause of fever.

Does your child have any of the following?

• pain or burning with urination

• a need to urinate more frequently than usual

• a need to get to the bathroom immediately when he needs to urinate

• back pain, or pain in the lower part of his belly.
