"WORST PAIN EVER. I feel like a blow torch has been stuck up there and burning my lady business to pieces!!! I’ve used the monistat before but it was the capsule form. Today I just grabbed the cream and that was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. 24 years old and I feel like I’ll never had any relations ever again because of monistat ruining her."

"I’m currently writing this review in bed, on my back, like I’ve been riding bareback for a week. My husband reluctantly got me an ice pack. . Ladies, it feels like a blow torch has been used inside my vajay jay and the outside of it is SO itchy I feel like I should be handcuffed to make sure I don’t scratch!!! WTH is wrong with the 3 day cream?! I could handle the itch...it was at a 3 until I applied the external cream and I’m at a 10 now. How am I going to sleep?! I’m debating washing it out. I literally sat on the toilet in shock, crying for ten minutes before I emerged complaining about how much pain I was in!"

"I didn’t realize so many people have had so many problems with this. I did the Night 1 treatment and it was fine I didn’t experience the burning but my yeast infection was minor to begin with so that may have an affect. I’ve used Monistat before and it works wonders I’ve never had any problems aside from minor itching and sensitivity."

"Just put in the 3rd dose of this (I’m using the cream) and honestly I think its working great. When I put in the 1st dose, I felt a little tingly for about an hour and then fell asleep fine. The next morning I was still a little itchy, but for the most part it got a lot better. When I did my 2nd dose I felt nothing at all (no burning or tingling), although the cream was a little bit weird to have in me (squishy feeling). The day after my 2nd dose I felt almost 100% better, and I probably would've been fine without a 3rd dose. I’m 19 and this was my first yeast infection. I’m pretty sure my infection was a pretty mild one too. Hopefully it cured me completely!"

"Applied Monistat 3 for the first time last night, and it was as torturous as they say it is. I'm not gonna go into length about the pain and the acid burning up my vagina. It definitely isn't the same experience as using other antifungal creams. I was looking through the reviews to find out what would happen if you stick with it. Most people left the treatment after one-time use. It's the second day, and I used it again. This time I was careful to apply it on my labia. I experienced no pain whatsoever, and I want to emphasize on the severity of the burning and discomfort I had last night for almost 30 minutes before the pain subsided a little. I guess it is a strong medication, which is what I needed because I have been dealing with a yeast infection for the whole 15 weeks of my pregnancy. Canesten didn't work for me; I hope this does."

"This burning is the worst I've ever experienced, probably my fault since I took forever before buying this. I believe it's burning because of the fungus and it's working. I will never wait take care of your YI fast."

"Went out & bought a 3 day pack -I'm 5 months pregnant & was recommended by pharmacist. Came home, and insertion alone made me burst into tears. Not sure if bc I'm so raw/swollen or due to the medication. However, I bought the anti-itch /anti-burning wipes and quickly went over the affected area. That seemed to have helped with the burning and itching. I grabbed an ice pack (wrapped in a towel) and have been sitting on it -Which has helped A LOT! everything is cold and numb, lol... RELIEF TO THE FULLEST! About 45 minutes after insertion and having the ice pack numb me up... I applied the topical cream that comes with the 3 day combo pack. Its been about 2 hours & I am not burning or itching!"

"After 4 weeks of antibiotics and prednisone, I developed the dreaded YI. Got the Monistate 3 to hopefully resolve the issue by Monday morning. After inserting the cream, I feel like someone has taken a steak knife to my insides and dumped a bottle of hotdam inside to rinse it out. Sure I was going to pass out, I reached for my phone to find others with similar expierances. This is more effective than the Sunday sermon. Repenting of my sins now, I've taken pills and hope to pass out soon."

"Wow! Soon as I put the tube in and pulled up my undies. I started a damn fire in my vagina! I can't really explain, I think with the pain I blacked out and knocked out. I woke up 3 hours later to feel like my vagina is sore and painful! I did monistat 1 before and never did I feel this ever. Then I tried monistat 3 and it feels like I lit a damn torch up there! I don't even think I'll do the second night because it burned so much I'm scared and why the freak would I put myself in that position again. I did not feel any relief it stills burns and I think I messed up more my vagina than what was going on with it before. Do not try it - just go to the doctors! Run away from all monistat! Run!!! Run!!!"

"This product burned my insides like crazy, I am very much in pain thanks to it and extremely disappointed. It is almost impossible to wash out. I tried using only part of the dosage and my reaction was still a scorching pain."

"My husband went and got me the three day monostat tonight because I have been have some really bad itching. Well I insert it and went to bed. Less than 10 minutes I jumped out of bed in excruciating pain. I mean the burning is soooooo unbearable I am literally in tears. I sat over the toilet and started pushing and wiping with tissue and got a chunk of it out but I'm still in much pain from the burning. Tried letting the cold shower run over and up in me and that only helped a bit. What has happened to this brand. I have used this in the past and all I ever felt was a bit mushy in my panty at night from the cream. I am now having mild cramps and just want to tear my whole vagina out and throw in the garbage. I will NOT be using this again. Ever!"

"IF YOU HAVE BAD ANXIETY KNOW THAT THE BURNING IS NORMAL!! DEEP BREATH SWEET PEA! Probably take an anxiety med before or immediately after. I was super itchy in my down stairs and figured it was a yeast infection and I chose the 3 day because 7 seemed too long but one seemed unlikely. After using this my crotch was itching and burning so badly I was on the verge of tears and was starting to free fall into a panic attack but I was able to calm down and seeing the reviews and that the burning is "normal" is also helping me calm down. I gave my downstairs a rinse with some warm water and changed liners which helped it calm after a bit and now am laying very still in bed with my laptop. I do believe it is helping me but I suppose it's too soon to truly know."

"Right after inserting the cream I felt burning and pain to a degree that I could not have predicted or imagined, especially since this isn't my first time using it and I didn't have this reaction before... After a couple of hours it feels somewhat better but damn, I wanted to take my skin off just to get relief."

"I've used Monistat 3 and 7 both. I love that they're preloaded and come with cream for external relief. I keep reading about how bad it hurts and burns. And while yes, it may be a terrible feeling, this is because a yeast infection itself causes tiny microscopic rips and tears inside and around your vaginal area. The infection causes the skin to dry out and rip every time you flex any of your down there muscles. Then, the added fact that it's a high concentration of the medication that kills the fungus literally growing inside of your wooh-ha will definitely pack a punch. However, some strains may not be cleared with a 7-day treatment and may need to be treated with a higher concentration. Best of luck to everyone suffering with this tonight. Also, soaking in a hot bath with half a cup of baking soda for 15 minutes will help to relieve the itch and pain from the infection."

"My experience has been horrible. I completed all three doses and each time was overwhelmed by intense itching and burning. By the third dose I was up half the night miserable. It didn't even help with the infection. I will never be buying this again."

"This was horrible. The burning is so bad and I wish I read this feed before inserting it in me. Almost immediately after inserting this the burning began. I've been in and out of the tub trying anything to remove it from my insides. Never use this product. I honestly don't understand why or how this is still being sold. Bathing and removing it seems to be the only thing actually helping the insane burning . NOT WORTH IT. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT."

"Dear Vagina... I am so terribly sorry. It must have been a man who came up with this product because there is no way a woman would create something so evil. Reading the reviews was probably a really bad idea, but it was reassuring that a trip to the ER wasn't necessary. Okay maybe I'm being a tad dramatic but the only way I would ever use this product again is if I was in a coma and could not feel pain. Neverrr again! Call your doc for a prescription."

"D1 was horrible. I thought my period was to blame for the itchiness! I did as instructed & I fell asleep for 1.5 hours until I was awoken by the itchiness. I used Summer’s Eve no odor cleansing wipes to clean away the cream & changed my pad. After 1.5 hours of squirming and groaning, I was able to sleep. D2, I prepped for war: got some wipes, water, extra pads, & a towel. 1.5 hrs after inserting, I woke up to itchiness, this time I felt it slowly coming in however it was not as intense as the day before. To try & relieve itchiness, took off my underwear, laid a towel underneath me & let the kitty breathe. I fanned it to get some cool air & used a cold wipe. It kind of worked. Just don’t irritate or scratch. I’m so glad tomorrow is my last day, symptoms r gone, so was it worth it? Maybe LOL good luck girls!"

"I wish I read the reviews before applying because I would have never applied it. It is painful and burning and I don't understand how it's allowed in shelves. Please never buy this. There's a 50% chance you will feel this hot cheeto inflammation instead of relief."

"Do not use this product. You will suffer and regret it. I’m in so much pain from this Monistat, I’m so disgusted with this medication. I inserted it last night and within a half hour I was on fire down there. I have been trying to rinse with moistened cotton pads. I took a tramadol and Zyrtec to try and deal with the pain with no relief. This product that causes such suffering. I feel like there is acid inside of me. There are no instructions on what to do if this happens, for example douche, shower, etc. I’m beyond furious. Shame on you Monistat there are so many people who have been affected like this. Shame on you!"

"My vagina has now experienced what hell is like. I'm certain this product is made from straight gasoline and the applicator is the lighter. The first and last time I treat a yeast infecrion using OTC medications. I don't think a firehose can put out the fire I am experiencing. Thanks for nothing Monistat 3 day."

"OMG why did I not read reviews prior to buying this stuff. I haven’t had a yeast infection in years but knew after taking antibiotics for strep that I had developed one. Figured instead of going to the doctor I would try Monistat 3 day since I have used their products before with no problems. Not even 2 minutes after inserting this stuff, my vagina felt like the gates an inferno was at the door shooting fireballs at me. I literally thought I was having some crazy allergy reaction. The burning and itching has been unbearable. Its been approx. 40 minutes now and the burning has subsided to just mild inferno! The itching is still going strong. No way and I going to go for round 2 and 3. I would rather deal with the mild symptoms I had than ever go through this again. My vagina hates me right now!"
