"Don't listen to all the bad reviews on this product, people obviously don't know how treatment for a fungal infection works. The worse the pain or itching after insertion or application of cream, the worse the infection. If its really burning and itching, it just means you have a really bad infection and the medication is attacking it. Also using the 7 day treatment may be better for really bad infections as it will not hurt as bad, its more of a gradual treatment as opposed to the 1 or 3 day treatment."

"I’m on night one and was preparing myself for the worst based on reviews (but I know that actually means it's working and would rather tough this out than have to go to the doctor and pay a copay and wait for an oral prescription to kick in). Definitely unpleasant and worse than the actual YI when it kicks in (first-timer here). But just shove an ice pack up there and spend time focusing on reading all these hilarious descriptions of others' experiences and know you are not alone in the struggle of being a woman with a YI."

"So a lot of people I see have a lot of discomfort/burning which is true. The medicine does cause a very intense burning and itching feeling, but it helps!! The pain you get from it is most definitely a 0/10 but the end results is a 10/10. Make sure after taking the medicine you use a heating pad/blanket, or cold compress. After about 1-2 minutes of cream insertion it will burn! But for me it’s over in about an hour."

Night 3: feeling like myself and so happy my friend got me this! Just a little irritated from scratching a few days b4 but itching is pretty much gone! Yeeees!"

"Listennn!!! It’s 11:56pm and I just went in the tub to wash out the monistat 3 medicine! Day 1 was painful but bearable pain. Felt extreme itching and burning inside my vagina and the discomfort was better without the treatment. Day two was similar but I felt the infection going away by then. Day three I felt I didn’t need the treatment but I wanted to finish it off... Now I’m on here typing giving my review!!! And I’m here laying in pain because it’s causing itching in my vagina that I never had!!! It feels like imbedded worms or fleshy parasites "

"1st time YI. Bought monistat 3 pre-filled cream. 1st dose burned and itched for bout an hour. I thought my vagina was gonna die lol. 2nd day was a little better no burning but very itchy. 3rd day no burn or itch. It's been 3 days since then and I feel 100% better. Will definitely buy again. I recommend to anyone just sit thru the pain. It's temporary."

"After inserting the egg into the mothership, it began raining fire. I woke up nauseated the next morning, had to go to the acute care clinic, after cursing traffic. The doctor asked me if I wanted a pelvic exam, and I told her the mother ship was physically sealed shut and surrounded by a sensation like poison ivy. I then peed into a cup, and cursed due to the the hell fire pouring out. I managed to stumble out of the stall with throbbing pain emanating from the region. I was prescribed an oral instead. I'll never forget the day where fire rained from below."

"I have never written a review in my life! I bet whoever is reading this is in the same position we are all put in, looking to see if the fire burning sensation in your vagina after using this is normal. Girl join the club. I’ve had yeast infections before, I usually popped an azo yeast plus and that would relieve the symptoms, but this time I wanted to try something new. Immediately after inserting I instantly regretted it I was squirming and flinching as I felt shocks run up my vagina. After an hour of insane burning, itching and tears it’s safe to say my vagina hates me!!! Nothing helps! Not ice not a shower not a compress! The only thing that helps is reading all these reviews knowing I’m not alone. Who invented this product?? Can I sue?? I want to throw my whole vagina away >:("

"Oh my word ... as many of you have already said: I had to take amoxicillin for an infection and it wiped out my good bacteria in my vagina leading to a HORRID yeast infection (YI). I’d taken the monistat eggs before with no issue ... went up Walmart today to get and they only had the Monistat 3 cream. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid this med! My vagina is 1,000,000,000 more uncomfortable now, than I was before inserting the cream! It is truly something awful! Fire ants, wearing scratchy wool sweaters, set on fire crawling up my vag! I am considering going to the ER! Nothing is helping! Never using this stuff again! (-)5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"My sister recommend me this from one of her friends who swears on it that it's amazing. Had the YI for a week and half not realizing what it was, and was ready for a relief. Bought it and I applied it before bed. I laid in bed waiting for sleep to hit me and all of the sudden my crotch was on FIRE. It lasted for about an hour. I wanted to wash it off so bad but I told my self to suck it up. Burning means it's working. Right? It was gone by the next day. I was amazed how quickly it went away. I continued the last two treatments and it burn less than the first time. My first time using this product and will be buying again. It really does work."

"I read so many horrible reviews of this that I almost didn't try it. Fearing the excruciating pain described by such a majority of reviews, I tried natural remedies. I even tried the "put a clove of garlic up your hooha" method! None of the remedies worked. This medication was a godsend. Please do not fear it. I experienced no pain with this, and it killed the infection dead within a day or two. I was amazed. Many people write about burning pain worse than childbirth, but I want to tell you that I experienced nothing like that. It was easy, painless, and, most importantly, extremely effective. Yeast infection is finallyour gone!"

"This was my first time ever getting a yeast infection. My symptoms included itching, irritation/swelling, cottage cheese like discharge. I purchased Monistat 3 from pharmacy. First night using it, I honestly had no problems like what most of the reviews described. I still itched a little on the outer part of my vagina where I applied the cream but after 2-3 mins it subsided. The suppository did not burn or irritate the inside of my vagina. The next morning I noticed a lot of clumpy discharge coming out. The second day I had no more of that discharge, still minor irritation and itching. 3rd day no symptoms. Now two days after taking medicine my vagina feels normal and no symptoms have came back. Luckily I had a positive experience, I would use this again if need be."

"I was skeptical because of reviews. I’m on day 1 suppository of Monistat 3. I took 400mg of ibuprofen because I was scared. It doesn’t burn, or itch. I’m a hour in. I’ll leave another review on day 3."

"First night: I inserted it and went to the movies that night. Before applying it I had bad itching but had used coconut oil throughout the day to sooth the YI. Once I applied it the first night it was instant relief. I was so super glad to feel normal again that I never noticed any itching or burning. I felt better in the morning. Then on night two I made sure to insert the capsule before bed. This night it was itchy and mild burning for about 20 mins. I noticed it got worse as I read all the horrible reviews"

"I can tell many of you guys wrote this right away without giving it time. I used the cream filled applicator kind of Monistat 3 for a YI and the first hour was intense but not to the point of tears. I am not sure if I have a higher pain tolerance, or if some people get far worst pain or if people are exaggerating but honestly you just power through that first hour (take Tylenol make sure you do this at night before sleeping and wear a light pad). As long as you go into it knowing that it will feel intense and breathe through it, it’s really not that bad. The worse your infection the more intense the feeling is at first. The intense feeling started to subside after the first hour and I’m writing this to y’all the next morning. When I tell you I feel 100% okay again! I’m giving it a 10/10 because it worked and I feel so much better hardly any itching or burning from my YI and I know that I’m going to feel even better after the second syringe."

"It ain't that bad, y'all. Yes, it itches. Yes, it's uncomfortable. It's worth getting rid of Candida. I'd use the stuff daily if it meant never getting another yeast infection. **pro monistat tip: before inserting monistat, spread Aloe Vera gel and Tea Tree oil onto a few maxi pads and put into the fridge. When the discomfort hits, slap one of those suckers on for instant relief. Don't freeze them or you're gonna freezer burn the bajeezus out of your hoo hah."

"I'm currently on day 2 of Monistat 3 inserts. I have never tried this before and I was really scared to try it after reading all of the reviews of it burning and itching uncontrollably. But in my experience so far, it has been great. No itch, no soreness or swelling. I don't really notice it being there much at all, and I no longer feel uncomfortable if I move a certain way. It took away all the uncomfortable symptoms so far. I'm so thankful for this. I hope this is my first and last time ever getting this, but I would definitely purchase this again if needed, happily and confidently. I hope this helps. Everyone is different, so it's just one of those things you have to risk sometimes. I tried to avoid it as best I could, but no matter what, my only option was getting this medicine, and luckily it was just fear stopping me. Good luck everyone."

"As I lay here weighing the benefits of clawing the inside of my own vagina vs. continuing to let the medicine take effect, I wish more than anything i never inserted this devil cream inside my body in the first place. This is night one for me, and I'm just going to tough out the YI and not use it again. EVER. I can't do another night of this. The mild itching I had before is NOTHING compared to the itching I have now. If there were sandpaper near me, I would use it. Repeatedly. Inside and out. I can feel my heart beating in my vagina. That's the pain I'm feeling."

"Day 1, didn't read the directions all the way. Inserted mid-day and wished I had a pad. Felt a little weird, but absolutely nothing like I am currently experiencing on Day 2, at 10pm while trying to fall asleep. The burn!!! Oh my god, the burn. I am going to tell every woman I ever meet for the rest of my life (should I survive) to never, ever, use this product. Is there seriously not a single female class action lawyer who has gotten a YI before? Where’s the petition? Take my signature ✍️"

"The last time I had a YI it was BAD. I had my mom get me the Monistat day 3. Within minutes of using it I was in the bathroom, in excruciating pain trying to get whatever I put in me, out. I'm not lying when I say it was possibly the most painful thing I’ve endured. I ended up going with the day 7 another time and it was a little less intense. I do think the severity of the pain depends on how bad your infection is. I currently have a YI, and I’m using the day 3 again. I’ve had it in for about 15-20 minutes and I’ve only had a little bit of discomfort but VERY doable. The medicine is killing off the bad yeast so obviously it’s probably not meant to feel like sunshine and rainbows. I will say vagisil anti itch cream helped me a lot. Hopefully this comment has given someone comfort as I have been In this situation before and have struggled through the pain of monistat. Hang in there, it’s worth the infection being done in the end."

"First day using it, resulted to of course an increase of itching and burning but after taking ibuprofen, about an hour later I didn’t feel any pain. As I’m on day 2 right now, the symptoms of YI is very faint, less itching . So I definitely recommend it, and make sure to take medicine. Also everyone’s body is different so you may get a different result."

"I never share reviews but I thought I had to since there’s so many bad ones. I let my infection go on for about a week because I just thought I was itchy because of my period. So when my period ended and the itching didn't I immediately knew. I went to target to get the Monistat 3 because I’ve used it before and it’s worked. The first night is always the worst but for me it’s not unbearable. I put it in and lay down, about an hour later the internal itching begins. It only lasts about 15 minutes. Second night do the same thing, itching begins and only lasts like 15 minutes. Third night, no itching. So if you think you can deal with the 15 minutes a day of intense internal itching choose the 3 day. If not I recommend get the 7 day. Everybodies experiences are different some people get no side effects and others get bad side effects, however they are much more likely to leave a comment. DON'T FREAK OUT"
