Vivotif Berna Vaccine Delayed-Release Capsules

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Vivotif Berna Vaccine Delayed-Release Capsules:Diarrhea; fever; headache; muscle pain; nausea; stomach cramps or pain; vomiting.
TopSevere allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); difficulty swallowing; unusual hoarseness.
Side Effects by Body System
General
Of the side effects reported during clinical trials, only nausea occurred at a statistically greater frequency with the oral vaccine than with placebo.
Gastrointestinal
Gastrointestinal side effects have included abdominal pain (6.4%), nausea (5.8%), diarrhea (2.9%), and vomiting (1.5%).
Other
Other side effects have included headache (4.8%) and fever (3.3%).
Dermatologic
Dermatologic side effects have included rash (1.0%) and urticaria.
Hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity reactions have included one case of nonfatal anaphylactic shock.
