Serious side effects of TobraDex

Along with its needed effects, dexamethasone/tobramycin ophthalmic may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur while taking dexamethasone / tobramycin ophthalmic:

Less common

  • itching and swelling of eyelid
  • redness of eye

Rare

  • delayed wound healing
  • eye pain
  • gradual blurring or loss of vision

The most commonly reported side effects were eye irritation, ocular hyperemia, erythema of eyelid, abnormal sensation in eye, ocular hyperemia, and eye pain.[Ref]
