Dilantin is used in the treatment of seizures; epilepsy; status epilepticus; neurosurgery and belongs to the drug classes group I antiarrhythmics, hydantoin anticonvulsants. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk during pregnancy. Dilantin 50 mg is not subject to the Controlled Substances Act.
