What are Miscellaneous GI agents?

Gastrointestinal (GI) agents include many different classes of drugs that are used to treat gastrointestinal disorders. They can be classed as: 5-aminosalicylates, antacids, antidiarrheals, digestive enzymes, functional bowel disorder agents, gallstone solubilizing agents, GI stimulants, H. pylori eradication agents, H2 antagonists, laxatives and proton pump inhibitors. A gastrointestinal agents that does not fit into these categories is put in the class of miscellaneous GI agents.
