Zometa (zoledronic acid) for Hypercalcemia of Malignancy: It was an easy IV for 15 minutes. Felt wonderful all day long. Hadn't felt that good in a very long time! Next day so sick. Went right back to bed and was completely out all day long. Got up later that afternoon and felt fine from then on. Was given 4 ibuprophens before IV. 12 user(s) found this comment helpful. Did you? Reclast (zoledronic acid) for Osteoporosis: I was given a 15 minute infusion of Zolendronic Acid for post Menapausel Osteoporosis which I had had since 1984, I was diognosed with Polymyositis and Dermatomyositis and was taking large doses of Prednisilone and Imuran. I started to have stress fractures in ribs and the Vertebrea and lost 5 inches in height. I was given all the Bisophosphates and had many episodes of reflux and had dreadful backpain, I was asked by a British consultant to try Zolendronic Acid which I have found wonderful 104 user(s) found this comment helpful.
