Lyrica (pregabalin) "My boyfriend started this med and shortly after beginning this medication my boyfriend changed drastically. He became angry, belligerent, irrational, accusatory and more hurtful than I ever imagined. He picked arguments with me every single day for a month and a half before he finally broke up with me citing that it was I, who was awful to him. He got to the point of having to pull off the highway so he could cry. He is not the man he once was, but does not see that he has an issue...has anyone else had any of this?"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Nightmare med. Doesn’t work on pain. So many horrid side effects: suicidal, vivid nightmares each time you sleep, makes you very sleepy, sleep nearly 24/7, makes you feel awful, doesn’t help at all with pain, fast & huge weight gain, hair fell out in clumps, makes you angry & changes your personality negatively."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I took Lyrica along with endone for a few months with slipped disc and impacted nerve , without it I was in agony. Endone in its own didn’t do much but with Lyrica I coped with the pain and could also attend physiotherapy until I was better. I was extremely thankful for it."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I have had Diabetic Peripheral neuropathy for many years now. I started with Gabapentin which worked at first but only to a small degree so we switched to Lyrica 75mg. It was as good as the Gabepentin but I hoped for more so we upped it to 100mg. A trial at 150mg did not work at all so I dropped it in 2 days and went back to 100mg. Now it will work but only for one half of a day and I refuse to take more until after dinner. At bedtime I take an OTC product from Hyland for restless legs and another for leg cramps (one & one) with my prescribed 500mg Magnesium and it helps me make it thru the night. Please do not deplete my drug store for the Hylands products. I told one friend and the entire stock was gone in 2 days."

Lyrica (pregabalin) "What I've read so far in confusing. One said Lyrica can cause peripheral neuropathy, another said Lyrica was prescribed for it! I have diabetic peripheral neuropathy. I'm no longer a diabetic. I'm taking 100 mg of Lyrica twice a day, not sure it's really helping me. Some days and night are so bad, I sleep sitting up on my couch. Don't like the dry mouth, dizziness, weight gain. I'm watching what I eat, some days certain foods bother me, other days same food doesn't bother me, very frustrating!! I don 't want to gain any more weight, afraid my diabetes will come back. I have had one treatment of botox, it helped so the pain is not as severe. DR. gave me very little medicine to start off with. My next appointment will be after 90 days, and I will ask for more of the medicine, hoping to get off Lyrica after this next treatment!"

"I picked up Lyrica which I have been taking for seven years with no problems. The label said it was the generic version and the pharmacist insisted it was Lyrica. I told them I didn't receive anything from my insurance or doctor about the switch. The said my Insurance will not pay for Lyrica. I started taking it on Saturday. Sunday afternoon, I was weak, lethargic, and had horrible body aches. Monday afternoon, I fainted twice and had migraines and 102.8 fever and a sore throat. I went to the ER and the doctor told me to stop taking it immediately. I did research online and found the drug is 70% cheaper than Lyrica; the Lyrica I take is $600 a month, while this generic version costs $180. I found websites about the drug, and the side affects that I am having. "

Lyrica (pregabalin) "I’m T2 diabetic since 1995 using insulin. I have had diabetic neuropathy since 2011. Initially I started with gabaline and changed to Lyrica in 2014, max dosage. I still have some pain with some symptoms which were very cold feet, tiredness, difficult sleeping, anxiety, nervous, very angry, loss concentration, not patient. Since 2019 I’m getting additional symptoms which are dizziness whenever I get up and walk even to kitchen for water, I see cloudy, not even when I go out for a walk, very low blood pressure with high heart rate, I faint 3 or 4 times a month, nausea, weak arm muscles, muscle aches, twitching and jerking constantly, frozen shoulder on both, eyes burning, sweat more, increase ear wax, always tired, unbalanced walking, loose foot, loose arm, shaking hands and legs, pain in between chest when I walk, and severe pain at the back of my neck. All test results are OKAY"

"I take 450mg of Pregabalin twice a day. A lot. My problem is partly pain but mostly a terribly uncomfortable feeling in my feet that makes me life miserable. For the pain I take 15/7.5 Targin AM & 10/5 PM (o my tolerance doesn't go up too much.) If I don't take my Pregablin I first get a feeling like a box-cutter is slicing underneath my toes. Then it gets worse. I'm taking a lot of Pregabalin & it does affect my ability to find the right word sometimes. Luckily I live in Australia where every citizen gets discounted medicines. We have a "safety net" at $1400 per year. I've been diagnosed with diabetes for 5 years & my diabetes is very aggressive. I also have nasty Charcot's Foot so I receive a disability pension & my meds cost a flat AUD$6.50 until I hit the safety netr. I feel for those in the US. PS I started 10mg/day of 'Jardiance' or Empagliflozin 3mo ago & it's brilliant. Lost 5kg & my HbA1c is down 0.5! Definitely ask about it."

"I have been taking Pregabalin (Lyrica) for over two years now. Pregabalin has helped me with the nerve pain in my feet. It does not take all the pain away. My feet still sting and burn on and off everyday. One time, I decided to slowly stop taking Pregabalin and take the generic drug, Gabapentin and my feet flared up by a 1000 percent. I asked my doctor if he could prescribe Pregabalin again. I have had zero/none side effects taking Pregabalin but recently I came across reading peoples "hellish/nightmare" experiences trying to wean and stop taking this drug. That scares me and I do not want to be dependent on this drug or any drug. I am going to slowly wean myself off and find other ways to deal with my nerve pain. Prayers needed!"

Lyrica (pregabalin) "Lyrica 12-2-23 1st dose 11:00 am. At 4:00 pm, I feel some nerve tingling pain relief on tops of feet & very little in ulnar nerve at pinky & ring finger left hand. (Increased appetite) 2nd dose at 9:30 pm. More relief at 11:00 pm. Slept well (Hallelujah) 12/3/2023. 11:00 am 1st dose, by 1:00 pm feeling relief. Feeling some dizziness (not too bad) didn't expect this fast a response to this medication."
