For Migraine "By far the best Migraine Medication I have ever taken and I have tried them all with little success and major side effects . With Amerge (Naratriptin) the only side effects I experience is a little sleepiness and sometimes a bout with minor depression but it much better than the migraine. II try to take it when the symptoms first begin and it will totally knock it out. If I take it once the migraine starts, it will still work by easing the pain and sometimes knock it out. I am able to fully function throughout the day I highly recommend this drug I"

For Migraine "I have been prescribed almost everything available to help migraine attacks EXCEPT for Botox. Since being on Naratriptan I have my life back. From having an attack last 5-7 days to almost immediate relief, one day groggy I'm so happy. Just doesn't put me to sleep. Best product ever. Average price in Australia about $40 for 4 tablets"

For Migraine "I am a PI Trial Attorney with a consistently, high stressed job. I began experiencing migraines (which in fact were diagnosed by a well recognized UM Neurologist) at the age of 43 and have been experiencing them constantly to my current age of 46. I initially was prescribed a Rizatriptan, Maxalt. At first, I took the entire pill and it literally knocked me out. However, it did take the migraine from a 10 to a 1-2. I noticed though, as I began to take half thereafter, the migraine dissipated but would then come back necessitating my taking the other half several hours later. I was then given Amerge (Naratriptan). This drug has been a complete life saver. I have 2.5 mg pills and only need a half. Bar none, best migraine pill but expensive."

For Migraine "After a lifetime of failed medications for migraines this one finally works. Hardly any side effects. The trade off is severe depression and crying approximately 6 hours after taking it and lasts several hours. Still worth it."

Amerge (naratriptan) for Migraine "I took the medicine for the first time last night 4/2/16, I was given the medication because I had an allergic reaction to Topamax. Amerge made me really sleepy, a little dizzy, draining ears and really bad heartburn. I'm not pleased with having these side effects especially not the nasty heartburn or the draining ears which are very itchy. The medication did work for me but I can't give it a 10 star due to the side effects. I'm not so sure that I would take this on a regular basis. If I do, I'm definitely going to take Zantac prior to taking the medication."

For Migraine "Overall a positive experience. I cannot function without this medication now effectively in my activities of daily living. With it, I can drive, go to work and stay out of a dark room. Without it, I am miserable, off work, unable to drive, unable to speak on telephone and disengage from other human contact that day. Major side effect for me is a raised sensitivity in my taste buds and body thermostat."

For Migraine "I’ve battled with migraines for about 30 years. Have tried most drugs apart from Botox and Emgality (please check user reviews on here PRIOR to taking this life depleting drug!). Naratriptan has so far been the most effective. I take it at the first sign of an attack, which generally gives me 2 days of pain free living before the pain kicks in to full effect. When I take a second dose, it usually takes at least an hour or two to become effective. Pain then subsides for a day or two before it comes back again. This can continue for a week. The 2.5mg dose occasionally makes me feel a little tired, however I accept this as its far better than the pain. It can be taken every 4 hours yet it’s effective enough that I’ve never needed to do that to date. In my opinion, I feel it’s definitely worth a try. We are all warriors in this! Live fully when you’re pain free."

For Migraine "I started taking Naratriptan after Relpax didn’t work for me and had bad side affects. Naratriptan has been a true life saver for when my migraines start. I get an aura almost instantly with slight blindness, once that starts I take one right away. It usually kicks in within an hour or two and really helps tame the migraine. I do get really sleepy and my body feels heavy after taking it, but it doesn’t limit me from working or continuing on with my day."

For Migraine "I am a senior abd suffered since I was 7 years old. Starte out with the first triptan which was Imitrex. As soon as Amerge cane out my Doctor gave me a prescription and I found it most effective. No side effects and I could function. It was my lifesaver. Since it got so expensive I took Imitrex again. It just does no work for me. Lots of side effects and the headache comes back after a few hours. My insurance doesn't cover Amerge and I have suffered. I just had to get Amerge again so I can function. I do wish the cost wouldn't be so high."

For Migraine "Today is the first time I've taken one of the 9 pills my doctor prescribed. It seems to take awhile to kick in. However, now that it has, I'm extremely mellow with a goofier look on my face then normal. As far as the pain, it seems to stop the pain from spreading. BUT, it also keeps my pain in the area in which it started. That being my shoulder. I have odd migraines and they start in my shoulders or behind my eyes. I guess I can't complain as the worst part of the headaches are when they spread all over. This is now confined to one area. I took it at 7:45. It's now 9:21. Time will tell. I've also noticed a tingling or the overwhelming sensation to stretch my arms out. Yeah. I'm definitely high."

For Migraine "First time using prescribed medication for my migraines. Migraines became a new issue after I turned 35. Chalk it up to hormonal change. Anyway, doctor prescribed it, tried it for the first time yesterday. Took it around 6:00pm, laid down because the migraine was already in effect...but I was pretty much out for the count which I didn't expect. Slept until 7:30am this morning. Happy the migraine is gone but I have a Trial on Monday and really could not afford to lose my day yesterday. I mean, having a migraine would also take me out of my routine...was hoping for medication that allowed me to go on with my life and just take care of the migraine. The result is not really what I'm looking for. plus, I'm feeling groggy this morning."

For Migraine "I had undiagnosed childhood migraines when I was 9 -13 years old, but I outgrew them. Fast forward to my early 40s - Migraines! Sumatriptan worked at first but didn't last long enough. My migraine would be back in about 8 hours. It got so bad I was have about 20 migraine attacks a month. My doctor was a quack and so I found a new doctor who had migraines (he understood where I was coming from!) also got a referral to a neurologist. At age 50 I started taking naratriptan as an abortive (Yay! it really works!) and nortriptyline as a daily preventative. I have my life back! The only down side I have with naratriptan is it takes about 1.5 - 2 hours to work for me, but after that the throbbing pain, sickness, glowing/blind spots before my eyes, loud ringing in my ears, etc. are gone. Now I average 3 to 5 migraine attacks per month (which is manageable - basically a 75% reduction over 20 a month) and the naratriptan works every time."

Amerge (naratriptan) for Migraine "I was given Amerge before my insurance would cover Ubrelvy (not sure why since they are two different types of meds) but I figured I'd give it a try since most triptans work great for me. Boy was I disappointed! This was the only triptan that I have tried that did literally nothing for me. I even tried taking two and it still did nothing. I thought maybe I just needed to wait a little longer for it to kick in because its supposed to be longer acting, but nope it never kicked in. I will never take it again. I will stick with Imitrex, Maxalt, and Ubrelvy, which I know work well and quickly!"
