Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I am 25 years old, and up to about 4 months ago I never had problems with headaches, of any kind. I finally went to the doctor after daily horrible headaches. She put me on Treximet. I have taken it once, and my headaches have resolved, knock on wood! I did have a strange tightness in my neck, but about an hour or so after taking the medicine, that had gone away along with my headache. I still have to have a MRI done, to be sure that there isn't anything else going on. So far, this has helped me resume my normal life."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I started getting really bad headaches at a young age but never thought it was anything serious until I became pregnant and they became worse. I tried everything from Excedrine migraine to Aleve. About 9 months ago my doctor gave me a sample of Treximet and I had my doubts but it actually worked. The only side effect that I had was a burning feeling in my nose, but the pain was gone and I could deal with that."

For Migraine "My daughter has had migraines for the past 3 years since she was 9. As recommended by her neurologist, she has benefited tremendously by religiously taking Migrelief (OTC magnesium/feverfew/Vitamin B pill) with breakfast & dinner daily to prevent migraines, along with getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, & taking electrolyte pills when she exercises/swims or in excessive heat. And at the earliest sign of vision blurriness or onset, she takes one adult Aleve (naproxen) & one 50mg sumatriptan (generic form of Imitrex) & tries to rest/nap (better than either alone). Treximet is just a combination of these 2 drugs (sumatriptan & naproxen) but it is much cheaper to take them separately yourself than getting Treximet, still under patent."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Very good migraine medicine. I've taken it on several different migraine attacks and it works every time. I do get the side effect of the "warm/tingling sensation" that scared me the first time I took it, but I immediately called my doctor and that is a mild side effect of the drug. Also, I tend to get a heavy sensation around the neck area and tingly sensation in the nose, but they go away after an hour or two and the migraine is completely GONE. Miracle drug for sure! Ask your doctor or neurologist about Treximet!"

For Migraine "I get migraines with and without pain. But usually have blurred vision and nausea. I believe its food related. I've kept a log of food intake, activities, allergies. It comes down to flour, msg, gluten."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "For me, this is truly a wonder drug. Knocks out migraine in about half an hour. Well worth the money, especially when my migraines have lasted for many days in the past. The only side effect is this strange loopiness that comes after about an hour, but it ends an hour or so later. And, compared to the headache, short term loopiness is certainly not a bad thing."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Yes, the migraine went away. Its the side effects. Appetite immediately went down the drain, irritable, most of all itchy. Itchy all over like crawling skin. Even worse the itching focused on my manhood if ya catch the drift. Loosing my mind.... I don't recommend it."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Great medicine. The only bad thing is it is expensive! $225 for 9 pills. Well worth it though. I take it when I feel a migraine start and it's gone in about 20 minutes. The only side effect I had was really heavy extremities for about an hour. I could deal with that though compared to the migraine."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I am 30 and have had migraines since I was 14. My head has always hurt (to the touch) the day after a migraine. I did not experience that after taking Treximet nor did I have any side effects. I absolutely love this medicine."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "This is the best migraine medicine I have tried. It has been the only migraine medication to work on my migraines and with an immediate result. It works most of the time, but not always. Restated, I have never had a migraine medication work."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I have used Treximet for about 5 years to treat my migraines. Best drug ever for relief. Works for me in about 10-15 minutes. I have tried Relpax, and Imetrex with no relief. So glad you can get Treximet in generic now even though I have good insurance. Outrageous cost without insurance."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Treximet is the only medicine that I have tried so far that will get rid of my headaches. I get 7-10 migraines a month, and they can last for days. I have found that with Treximet, I at least get a 12-24 hour break in my headache clusters. My muscles do feel funny (heavy and weak) after I take it, but that is the only side effect I have noticed. My only contention is that my insurance only covers 63 pills/180 days, and that I can go through more than that."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I feel extremely nauseous and dizzy for about half an hour after taking these, but migraines make me feel nauseous anyways so it's a small price to pay for getting rid of the pain. While the nausea and hot flashes persist I like to think that the Treximet and the migraine are duking it out for superiority in my brain."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Amazing - gets rid of a full blown migraine in 30 minutes. I call it my miracle pill. I do experience drowsiness and a bit of tightness around my shoulder area, but when it passes (within 30-40 minutes), the migraine is GONE."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "This was absolutely horrible. I had a migraine at work and luckily I work for a DR office. I took one pill since that's all that's in the sample. About 10 mins later I was sweating, face was blood red, very very nauseated, felt weird, I was dizzy. I ended up having to leave work and go lay down. Here we are 12 hours later and still a migraine. I am glad to hear it works for most but I'd never take it again."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I love this medicine. It works! I too couldn't get it for awhile because of how expensive it was. I was actually notified by Blue Cross that if I did a three month trial of having my doctor write a script for the medications of Treximet separate (Imitrex pills and Naproxen pills) and see how those two separate medicines worked for my Migraines then if I still didn't get satisfactory results of these two medicines separately then they would pay for the Treximet pills. I did the trial for three months and I didn't get the instant results like the Treximet pills, also bad heart burn from the Naproxen. So I had my doctor report back to Blue Cross after the trial 3 month period that I wasn't getting the results I wanted and they started covering it."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I took 1 Treximet pill in Jan. of 2012 and a 1/2 the following day. My migraines almost faded away for the last year. Throughout the 2012 year I still had small achey headaches, but nothing like before I put Treximet in my system. It is now a year later and I had my first migraine last week. I still have the same prescription from last year, so I don't have to buy anymore. I cut my caffeine to almost nothing and lots of natural sunlight. My headaches are fading out but I am going to take my yearly pill. I think this pill is worth every penny. Take this pill and find something to keep you busy."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Expensive for 9 pills, but highly effective. Gets rid of a migraine in 1 hour, and doesn't make you drowsy. I would say there is an added heaviness to your brain and muscles (you feel a little slow), and you can't exercise right after you take it or it will give you palpitations. I haven't noticed any other side effects and compared with having a migraine, Treximet gets me back to normal in 3 hours (side effects are gone in 3 hours)."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "This is the best by far. The pain is gone in 45 minutes-1 hour usually. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover it and it's about $30 a pill, so unless I can get a coupon or samples I have to take Imitrex, which is hit-or-miss for me and makes me feel funky for hours after. I haven't noticed any side effects from Treximet."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "I've been battling migraines for more then a decade. Been through everything from Aromatherapy to muscle relaxers to antidepressants and so far this has worked the best. Had a migraine last night and took a dose - in 20 minutes I could breathe again. Started to get another one several hours later and took another dose and it worked. Good drug that does what it says it will do."

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "Treximet is my wonder drug. I’ve suffered from migraines my whole life and this is the only drug that offers fast relief and I can get back to my day without much issue. Side effects are minimal, but I do feel a little “jittery” after I take it. I use a mail order service to get Treximet and it is a huge cost saver!"

Treximet (naproxen / sumatriptan) for Migraine "On average, I get 4-6 migraines a month and this is by far the best migraine medication I have tried! Within 10-20 minutes, the migraine is completely gone after taking just 1 pill. I turned to a prescription strength after OTC medication, heat/cold packs, sleep, etc. stop working. So far, I haven't had a recurring migraine either, which usually happens to me after taking over the counter medicines."

For Migraine "The best migraine medicine I've ever used. I've less bounceback headaches. A warning though. When they say be careful and not to mix with SSRI's, antidepressents, listen. Or another type of migraine medicine like Frova. My doctor tried me on Frova and I also had this. This worked better and I took one within 12 hours of taking Frova because I had a bounceback headache and ended up in ER with serotonin syndrome. Couldn't talk, walk, could think what I wanted to do but it was like my brain was disconected. And the doctor didn't know anything and thought it was stress and gave me an SSRI to "calm me" and within 12hrs, I had another attack and got worse. Took a week to get over, not medicines fault, just do not need to mix with SSRI's. And it tells you so."

For Migraine "My migraines usually consit of aura, numb hand/face/nose, and aphasia, followed by the severe headache alongside nausea and vomiting. They usually last about 3-5 hours until I can function again. I had been taking naproxen for my painful menstrual cramps. It worked quite well for this, and so when I felt my hand going numb last night I took a naproxen right away to see if it would help the migraine. Well, I still had most of the symptoms prior to the headache, however the headache itself was much less intense (about a 4/10 on the pain scale compared to an 8 or 9). I also did not feel nauseous and did not experience any vomiting. I highly recommend trying naproxen for migraine treatment. It made mine much less severe. I swear by it now."
