Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I had a horrific reaction to this vitamin. My eyes became very dry and within 3 days they were swollen shut !! So bad that I couldn’t eve drive!! The excessive swelling has caused terrible dryness of my eyelids and underneath which has consequently caused terrible wrinkles !! I’ve seriously aged 10 years because of thus vitamin and the horrible side effects it’s caused. Take with extreme caution"

Metanx (multivitamin) "My MD prescribed Metanx for my condition which was Ball of foot pain and numbness. I have taken it for 6 months and so far there is no change. It is recommended that I continue taking it for another 6 months."

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I was super slow at figuring out how bad these were affecting me. I started these 3 months ago after my mother-in-law said she took the gummy ones. The store only had these ones not that I would ever take the others after my experience. I was insanely itchy at the beginning and had headaches everyday for two weeks but thought it must have been something else. I stopped taking them after I forgot. Then a month later I remembered them. Symptoms came back not so itchy not always a headache but I developed a sore throat and mild nausea. I thought oh no I got COVID. Had a negative test. Bullet dodged. Then the yeast infection came on. Could not kick it. My doctor prescribed me meds and I had stopped taking the supplement at that time. Then once again I remembered I had these horrible things! Developed a sore throat and a yeast infection within 3 days and it all clicked finally. Stay away from these things. Not sure what other damage I did to my body..."

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "Purchased these to help with age related changes to hair and skin - nothing major, just trying to get ahead of menopause. There’s WAY too much vitamin A in these supplements - the three pill dosage gives you 167% of your daily recommended vitamin A. If you eat healthy like me, you don’t need that much. Add in retinoids like Retin A that I use to keep my skin smooth, and you’re getting way too much. My hair started falling out in clumps, I started having serious bone pain - it was terrible! My dr tested my vitamin A levels - very high after taking this medication for a month. Avoid this supplement!"

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I started taking Nature's Bounty Hair Skin and Nails about 8 months ago. I experienced itchy scalp and did not connect this to the supplement. About 3 months ago, however, I began experiencing severely painful itchy arms that dermatologists were unable to identify. After exhausting all treatments (steroids, benedryl, antihistamines, allergy creams etc), I consulted another doctor who helped me journal and identify supplements and/or changes to my diet just prior to the itchy conditions. We identified that I started this supplement 2 weeks before the itchy scalp symptoms began. This has been an absolutely horrible experience for me. I have spent hundreds of dollars on doctors, lotions, creams, antihistamines, etc... Also, some random headaches and stomach pain that I had not experienced previously, but the worst of my side effects is the itchy painful arms that nothing but ice relieves."

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I started taking natures bounty hair, skin & nails extra strength 5000mcg softgels on April 24th 2021 everyday except for a couples days I forgot. I stopped taking them June 19th 2021 I didn’t change anything about my eating or my exercise habits. I drink more than enough water. I’ve had constant extreme bloat for the last couple weeks & gained some fat on my stomach area I have never had before until I took these pills. My hair seems slightly thicker, but that can be from me just taking better care of my hair since I started the pills in general. I will never take these pills again & wont recommend them either."

I didn't have any major side effects in the beginning maybe just a sore stomach at first, but thats normal as your body has to adjust to this new supplement. I started to see around a month that my hair was getting longer. It used to be a little passed my shoulders and now its half way down my back. So I did see some results with these but everyones body handles stuff differently, so maybe it worked for me but won't work for someone else. My hair has always been extremely slow growing but noticed a faster pace with help of these BUT I did start to get a non stop itchiness all over my arms and legs... I kept putting lotion because doctors thought I had really dry skin but its these so be careful"

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I had bought 2 bottles of this supplement. I took just one a day instead of recommended dosage of 3/day. I'm glad I did that because with just 1 pill, I felt severe headache. I still finished both the bottles and then I started getting papitations, chest pain, dizziness. This remained for months and months. Never taking this supplement at any cost. I'd rather drink coconut water to lengthen my hair."

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "Did they work? Yes. My nails and hair were flourishing. But! I had a horrible reaction to them. Severe itching all over my body. Started with my legs. Went on for months bc I didn’t think I could allergic to a vitamin. Went to a dermatologist and everything and got diagnosed with Atopic Dermatitis. I’ve cut them out after finally getting the brains to read the reviews after a friend said she got bad acne from them. So I’m now waiting for them to get out of my system and weening myself off the itchy allergy meds I’m on. Hope it doesn’t take long!"

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I took these after I had my son in March 2016 I was losing so much hair I was going bald. These made my hair grow so fast and they tasted so good. I took them for about two months with no problems at all. My hair grew my nails were stronger a 10/10 so I decided to buy these again now September 2017 and the taste is awful. And when I take them I get nauseous right away and my head feels like it’s about to explode my stomach feels full of water or bloated it’s weird sensation. It really sucks because I was really looking forward to taking these again."

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I started taking these almost 2 years ago. At first, I didn't notice much. After a few months of taking them, I started noticing daily SOB, bloating, vertigo, severe headaches 3-4 times a week (around the same time each day). I talked to my Dr about these symptoms, I got no answers other than I may have indigestion. I am relatively healthy, exercise each day, and eat healthy etc. For me to be having these issues is a bit unusual. I started looking into my diet more, my environment, and my daily activities. I could not come up with anything other than these vitamins. After coming on here and reading the other comments I stopped taking them immediately. It's been (8) weeks and I have not had a single issue. I am so happy that I figured this out. No, I do not take any other medications so there was no reaction to address. And yes, I drink plenty of water (that is ALL I drink). I also took these with each meal. STAY AWAY FROM THESE! THEY SHOULD BE PULLED OFF THE SHELVES."

Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I started taking the Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails pills, followed the directions (3 pills per day) and have broken out in red bumps that itch, turn into a rash and then turn dry and flaky all over my body, even my scalp. It took me getting a biopsy from a dermatologist to figure out it was these pills! DO NOT take these! Like the other posters have stated, these should be taken off the market."

Lipoflavonoid (multivitamin) "I tried the Lipo Flavonoid Plus for tinnitus for the first time took 2 caplets in the morning after eating. The ringing was low before taking it and within the hour after the ringing went louder than ever and I could feel my blood pressure going up then got a headache. I have hypertension. I don’t think I’ll take anymore."

Metanx (multivitamin) "I'm on Metanx for 3 weeks , I see no improvement yet, actually I'm feeling worse. So, as I read it could take up to 3 months since I've had peripheral neuropathy 12 years now. Maybe things get worse before they get better not sure. My tongue always feels burnt , and lips feel chapped and they are not. The burning, sharp pain is stronger, leg cramps every night. I'm hoping I feel some relief. $174.00 for 3 months is a lot of money , esp if it doesn't even help. I'm praying :("

It seems each time I go back to taking these ( usually gummy version) my hair and nails seem WORSE? It seems I matter what brand I try it is always the same! SO DONE! No more! They smelled horrible and I began noticing that I tasted this smell in my mouth and my skin also smelled just like the vitamins!! It was unbearable along with nausea, and stomach upsets pain etc! Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails (multivitamin) "I took these gummy vitamins for two days and developed a bald spot at the top of my head. I wouldn’t recommend taking these pills the side effects are completely the opposite of what you want when looking for healthy hair and nails. They also cause bad stomach cramps and Im not on any medication so IDK what is up with these vitamins."
