For Opiate Withdrawal "I go to a treatment center and get methadone as a tool to help me with my addiction. It keeps me from withdrawing and helps a lot with cravings and urges. I strongly recommend this drug to anyone with an opioid addiction."

For Opiate Withdrawal "For around 5 years of my life I was an extremely bad heroin addict. It completely and utterly ruined my life, to the point where I attempted to commit suicide by ODing on dope and Xanax. I've been on methadone close to two years now.... I have my family back and am working on rebuilding my life. Unless you have tried and failed w suboxone, going to a rehab, etc you have no business being methadone. If your taking something like Lortab, try and kick it yourself, or do a low dose suboxone taper. Methadone can turn you into a lifetime opioid addict I had tried everything. Suboxone/subutex make me very sick and I had tried to quit in evert way possible, even 30 day inpatent. I'm scared about coming off but with a support system I've seen it done successfully. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT THAT METHADONE SAVED MY LIFE."

For Pain "I have been taking methadone HCL 10 mg tablets for 10 years for chronic pain. I love this medication greatly and yes it's a lifesaver for sure. I had been on everything from Ultram to Oxy 80. I can tell you that this medication blows them all away. I started out on 3 a day for 8 years and in the last 2 years I have been on 4 a day. My pain is managed to about 96%. It seems to take a really long time for immunity to set in. This is the best pain medicine on the market. "

For Pain "I have had sacral joint and nerve pain since 2000. I started taking Lortab and when those didn't work, oxy's. I finally managed to get off those by taking 5-10 Lortabs a day. I was a slave to the bottle, every hour or two. It was awful. Now I take 1-2 methadones in the morning and I am fine till the next day, about 80% of the time. Occasionally I have to take a 5mg one 1 hr before bed, but all in all it has been a relief."

For Chronic Pain "I have read all the reviews of the methadone medication. The ones that really stand out to me are the people that are taking methadone and say how it saved their life/took all their pain away, and then will say how it rots your brain, or warn you to not take it, etc. If you have a doctor that knows what he is doing, has experience in providing this medication to patients, and YOU follow the doctors' directions about taking the methadone, there shouldn't be a problem at all. It will take your pain away and you will have a life worth living. Now, not all medicines work the same for all people. There are exceptions to EVERYTHING.....in other words, the medication just may not work for you due to your body chemistry. Then, go to your doctor and tell him/her the situation and there is something out there that will help you. You and your doctor just have to find it and sometimes it takes a while. Be patient, you will find it. Yes, I do take methadone. It works very well for me."

For Opiate Withdrawal "I was a bad drug addict for many many years until we (husband and I) found methadone. My husband is gone because of lung cancer and was taking it up and until his death but I am still taking it and am very glad to be drug free. "

For Pain "I have used several types of pains medications before and never had the actual 10 to 12 hour relief that they promised as I have found with Methadose/Methadone. Long lasting relief and completely affordable for anyone paying cash for their prescriptions."

For Pain "After trying percocet and time released morphine for chronic back pain, methadone was the only pain reliever that lasted for any length of time, but now my pain management clinic closed in 4/14/2010 and I'm trying to find a pain clinic(doctor) that is not afraid to prescribe methadone."

For Pain "Methadone is a very good pain reliever. I use it for nerve pain and tinosinovitis and haven't found anything better. Unfortunately, I changed from a doctor to a clinic and my new practitioner lowered my dose by 20 mg per day, which put me back to not using my hands very much. "

For Opiate Withdrawal "I was struggling with addiction for 6 years, I couldn't stop. I lost my house, my kids, all my friends are dead, I was in and out of jail. I'm currently on my 3rd year of going to a methadone clinic. NOT A SINGLE RELAPSE!!! NOT A SINGLE USE OF NEEDLES AGAIN!!! I have my kids and I have a 2 year old little boy now. I focus all my energy on my children and can ACTUALLY BE A MOM WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT MY NEXT FIX. I felt guilty for going to the clinic and one day I told the nurse how I was feeling. She a very nice and honest lady. She said Nik, do you remember what you went through when you was actively using other drugs? I said yes ma'am. She said how much had your life changed since you started the program because I can see you haven't failed a single drug test. I said I have my life back now. She said then don't feel guilty. If it works for you don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You take this to help you just like a person in pain would take it when when they need it. It gave my life"

For Chronic Pain "When I was seeing a doctor I would get 30 mg in the morning 30 mg in the afternoon and if I needed it 30 mg at night between those times I took 30 mg of instant release morphine three times a day if needed. This was better than just the methadone .I had no pain at all with with the methadone and no morphine with it I would say 1 to 10 I give it a 7 or 6 and that's the diskets I found that the liquid did not hold me as long and within 8 hours I was back in pain at least my pain is tolerable now"

For Chronic Pain "I was referred to a pain clinic by my neurologist, because of my ongoing chronic pain from a benign brain tumor, fibromyalgia, and a lot of other disorders. The neurologist at the pain clinic put me on a 60mg/day of methadone for pain mgmt. and Lorcet 10mg for break thru pain-which I took for 20 YEARS.. but, I had mild pain yes, medium pain sometimes... but nothing like before. Then, I get a call from the clinic, saying that I could no longer be a patient there unless I could pay cash because Medicare stopped letting them treat their patients...I went into shock!! I had an appt. scheduled in 5 daysvbut I would also have to pay cash for it. The clinic told me that they would refill my pain meds for 30 more days to give me time to find a new doctor or clinic. So, I thought ...crisis avoided .. I can find a doctor in 30 days, I actually found a pain clinic! I left with no methadonevI went thru the most AWFUL torture, pain, sickness..45+ days now still sick! Just say NO to it..pls"
