"This medication has helped me far more than any pill I have ever swallowed. And it has been many. I have totally changed how I eat and very conscious of when I'm really not hungry. Seem like I'm losing every day."

"I am experiencing a major withdrawal or discontinuation syndrome from belviq. For three weeks I have had major anxiety, odd brain sensations, flu symptoms, numbness in my hands and feet, cough, earache... Just to name a few. I know that this syndrome is associated with SSRIs but this seems worse than what I have read about. I'm wondering if the 'novelty' of this agent means that they just don't know what to expect when people go off of it. I feel really stupid and I'm soooo sick of feeling this bad. Praying these symptoms stop."

"I am on my second day of Belviq. I have had no additional side effects except for some small coughing about 15 mins after I take the pill. I love this, as I previously tried qysima and absolutely hated the way it made me feel. When I eat I get "feel" full sooner than before. I also was able to walk by the bakery in the grocery store and no pick up a treat, even though it smelled so quite delicious. I have observed it takes let to make me feel fuller! No complaints there. I have CVS Carmark persecution insurance and they approved my request to the medication. It comes to 50.00 a month. :). Whoop whoop! The pharmacy said I have never seen this approved. I will recommend if you have been denied in the past to try it again."

"I have taken Belviq for two weeks only lost 2 pounds. belviq has no effect on me I cut grass to help make extra money on the side. That's the only time I see any weight lost. I was doing that before belviq this medicine has slow me down makes me tired. I execise less with belviq. I cant believe they want 200 hundred dollars for these pill not worth it. all diets if you exercise and eat right work with out the pills. Belviq don't even curb my appetite. Very disappointing. the chest and body pain are scary."

"Today is day one. I am 5'2" and weigh 221 pounds. Approximately two hours after taking the first dose, I have a horrible headache and feel pressure in my chest. No body aches or dry mouth and no nausea. I came to this very hopeful site for support and to read experience of others which has been helpful. Thank you for letting people post reviews. It is very beneficial for us newbies ."

"I started taking Belviq 9 days ago and am down 7 lbs! The weight flew off the first couple of days (probably water weight) but I haven't lost anything for the last three. I really attribute that to not eating well when I do eat the last few days but I am eating less and less often. Gone are my desires to snack. I made a salad for dinner and will be taking more control of my diet again so hopefully I will see some more weight loss soon! The first night I was nauseous and a little dizzy but nothing too horrible. The next day all of my side effects were gone. I still get a little dizzy or nauseous from time to time but nothing too terrible. The biggest side effect is dry mouth but that just forces me to drink more water."

"Started the end of February. First day was a little woozy so next day I just did half dose. Third day tried whole dose again and was just fine. March I started counting calories with Fitness Pal. May 1st I began my Whole30 program which I definitely recommend to everyone. To date June 24 I've lost 45 pounds. Belviq is great. Highly recommend. What it has done for me is allow me to focus on what, when and why I'm eating. It gives you the power to master your food decisions. Tip: if your insurance doesn't cover it, go to the Belviq website and get their card that makes it $75 a month to buy this prescription."

"I started Belviq about 9 days ago. I found a savings card online on the belviq website that will save me approximately $140 each time I fill my prescription. I have experienced a significant mood lift (i can see why it's a controlled substance), subtle doziness, and better sleep. Sometimes I forget to eat because I just don't feel hungry. I feel the effects of not having eaten though, I feel tired, sluggish and my stomach hurts a little from being empty, but the terrible "hunger" feeling is completely missing. It's strange, but extremely helpful. Overall I have lost 6 lbs in the last 9 days since I started Belviq, and it surely is helping with my appetite. I am very thankful. Belviq does exactly what it's supposed to."

"I started taking the Belviq about 2 weeks ago and I'm already down 10 pounds. The bad part is I have the painful urination, frequent urge to go, back pain, increased headaches. I have gone to 2 specialist about my "bladder issue" and they have confirmed that this medication is the cause. It sucks because it's effective but I can't take the irritation."

"I have just ended my 3 month on adipex, I lost a total of 55 lbs and now starting my six months on belviq. My starting weight was 361 in March of 2015 and now I currently weiGH 305. I have read that many used belviq and have lost weight and some haven't so I guess I just have to wait and see how it works for me. I do work out now and eat healthy my biggest fear is gaining the weight back while isbeing off adipex. My question is did anyone start adipex and then go on belviq? If so what was your experience. Will update monthly after my weigh ins :)"

"So all of my life I have been some what chubby, but at least couple of years I let my weight go out of control. I went to the doctors on May 26th and she weighed me at 261! :( That day she prescribed me belviq. I took my first pill that night. I weighed myself on June 2nd and I am down to 256.4! I don't know how much of that was water weight but it was definitely encouraging to see that on the scale! I will post again in a week :)"

"I have been taking Belviq for 1 month, but I'm going to stop because the side effects are too much. The first week I experienced extreme dizziness, fatigue and muscle soreness. I powered through and the dizziness finally went away. However, the extreme fatigue and muscle soreness was too much. I tried only one pill a day, but it didn't help the side effects. I stopped taking Belviq three days ago and the muscle soreness is completely gone and the fatigue is better. I was so tired I couldn't even work a full day and didn't have the energy to hardly walk. However, it was effective at weight loss. I lost 4% of my body weight the first month."

"I have been on Belviq for 9 days now and have lost 7 lbs. The first day I had a severe headache and some dizziness. I only took one pill that day. My headache and dizziness went away once the pill wore off. Started again the next day and no headache so I kept going and took the two pills that day. I have had no side effects since that first day. It does curb my appetite and I haven't been hungry. I am using my fitbit and the MyFitnessPal app to keep up with my exercise, calories and water intake. I need to lose around 65 pounds. Belviq costs me $75 a month, I got the discount coupon from my doctor. Update...One Month 15 pounds down. No problems at all, it's working for me."

"Well started belviq once a day on May 14 2015. My starting weight 187 lbs. Nine days later weighed at 185 lbs . May not seem like a lot BUT considering didn't go not once to the gym I think it is pretty good.!!! This coming up week I will try to do some type of exercise. I find though that the first pills really curbed my appetite. Now a few pills later it doesn't seem to be as strong as the beginning. Will continue on them for one month and see how it goes. If I don't see a big amount of weight loss I will ask my Dr to put me on phentermine. Being that phentermine is more affordable. And it would make no sense at all to pay so much $$$$ on a pill that doesn't really cut it for me ..."

"Been on belviq for a week now. Appetite has seriously changed. I basically eat cause I know I have to eat. I have NOT suffered from headaches like I did the first 2-3 days. Have not yet weighed myself but my starting weight was 187 lbs!! Will weigh when I finish my first months med. I only was prescribed one per day so I take it around noon and it lasts me the entire day. I haven't been going to the gym yet but will restart again next week. I definitely notice a change in how my clothes fit I strongly recommend belviq to EVERYBODY."

"Southern big boy 5'9 247 and felt like a slug. I used to be a weight lifter but at 48 years old those days are gone. I had gone to my opthamologist and he sent me back to my regular doc. The doc told me I was in the diabetic range and needed to to go on metformin. He had some patients take Belviq for weight loss and suggested we try that first to see if losing the weight might help my sugar as well as other issues. One year later we my wife and I are happy to report 45 pounds gone as well as my bad blood sugar. The story is not all perfect as there were times when I thought my weight loss had stopped but my doc said your body resets and you should continue to lose weight. I am finally able to walk without knee pain and feel like my story ea"

"Just started on Belviq a week ago and I'm so glad I did! The first day I felt a little tired. I also had a couple of moments of feeling nausea, not much though. Since then, I've been feeling great. I haven't anymore side effects. The very first day I could only eat half of my meal. Just didn't want anymore. This has helped curb my appetite tremendously! I have lost 3lbs in my first week."

"I was Vol cheerleader but after four kids I am way over my head at 5"7 198 lbs. After much time I have given up that diet and exercise can do it alone. So I gave and am taking Belviq. Side effects few dry mouth, headache weight loss gradual about five pounds per month with my exercise and selective dieting. Total weigh loss 35 pounds and feeling great. Try it as it costs $75.00 if your insurance does not cover it."

"I have only been on Belviq for less than a week. I haven't worked out yet but my side effects were extremely bad the 1st two days. I had a migraine that was out of this world and I felt very intoxicated. Don't know what to say about it yet but I stepped on my scale after 4 days and I gained weight. Not cool and I'm almost scared to continue. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated."

"Weighed 270 on 5-8-15! 8 days later I weigh 263. If I take it early before 9 am I feel drunk or really tired but if I take it later after 9-10 am I feel ok! Im excited to see how this goes if I can afford it! With out insurance coverage its $305.00 month! Very expensive but I almost say its worth it as long as I'm loosing weight in a decent timely manner! Light exercise but I work up a sweat and drink lots of water"
