Belviq (lorcaserin) for Obesity: I am an embarrassed overweight person, having gained many lbs over the years. My insurance covered SOME of the cost and with the discounts offered I have been able to afford it.
I went to my doctor and started using Belviq 10 mg twice a day at the end of September. My starting weight was 326 lbs; I am 5'10". My doctor was amazed that at my last weigh in I had lost some 57 lbs.
My husband was SO proud of me, my doctor was also and he told me he was going to start prescribing it to each of his overweight patients that fit into the criteria indicated.
Thank you Belviq.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I have been a lifer trying Weight Watchers, Medifast and over the counter everything. Mid 40's female 5'4 189. After getting my co worker to confess that she was using Belviq I went to her weight loss doctor. I watch what I eat and can now do some brisk walking. Headache early on but otherwise nothing to speak of but seems to sleep sound. Total weight loss 18.5 lbs in three months with nice improvement in my other risk factors. Doc is happy to tell me he now has 46 patients on the medicine. Nice side effects is three out of sight smokers have quit in various time frames from 4 to seven weeks.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: Having been a big boned guy all my life was fine when I was more active. Now I am 31, 44lbs overweight and wish I was much taller. Went on Belviq three months ago and just now starting exercise. Joints feeling better, beeter blood pressure and cholesterol better. It works fine 25 pounds down 25lbs to go. My doctor won't tell me if everyone gets these results but he just smiles and so do I. Now I look better on my wife's arm.
Belviq (lorcaserin) for Obesity: Started taking Belviq 02/04/2014 at 283lbs today I'm at 267lbs. Like all the others have said, it makes you feel full and very easy to stay on a plan or goal. I follow a plan for six days of exercise and eating 2 healthy meals along with 3-4 protein shakes or snacks e.g. apples protein bars etc. Then one free day to do whatever..however I have no urge for any BAD foods anymore. I simply set the time to eat and the portion and Belviq keeps me on track with no cravings in fact I have to force myself sometimes. I sleep well and have no side effects. I think the habit changes helped along by Belviq will become permanent for me...at least I hope. Very happy with the results so far get the discount card for $75 off your monthly order.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Obesity: I have taken Belviq since last October and have lost 45 lbs so far! Just need another 15 and I will have reached my weight goal. This is the first prescribed medicine that has worked for me and I am thrilled. You MUST change your eating habits as well as picking an exercise that you like to do while taking Belviq or it will not work as well. Speed walking is my love and my waist has really shrunk. HIGHLY recommend this weight loss medication.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Obesity: So far Belviq is AMAZING. I did the 15 day trial offer. I started the medication on Feb 10, 2014. My starting weight was 252lbs. Today is Feb 25th, 2014. The 15th day, end of trial and I weigh 234lbs! That is 18lbs dropped in 15 days. I've changed my eating habits, drink plenty of water, I am not exercising too much around 3x a week by walking.
I have experienced no side effects whatsoever. My appetite is truly decreased, I do eat healthy but not big portions like I used to and I get full pretty quickly. Going to pick up the rest of the medication at the pharmacy. I have to pay out of pocket for the rest of the medication but it is truly worth it!

Review by trying to stay healthy Diana (taken for 1 to 6 months):
Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I have been on Belviq for about six months with only brief mild headache as the only side effect. I was diabetic but my blood glucose has me off metformin as my sugar is very stable. Losing an average of seven pounds per month, I exercise sometimes. The best part is better sleep pattern, no cravings and now at my old high school weight is in sight. Not bad for a post menopause, hormone replacement, 52 year old lady. I feel very content and calm overall life is now what it should be.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I have been taking Belviq for 7 days. I've lost 6lbs. I feel hungry at random times but nothing ever looks good. Portions are really reduced. I had dry mouth first two days but no other side effects. I want to drink water all the time now and can't seem to finish an alcoholic drink. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome which makes weight loss ridiculously hard, this medication is a fantastic motivator.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: Started 2/1. Today is 2/11 and I am down 7 lbs. Headaches first 48 hours plus some clumsiness. Still hungry but easy to ignore with no cravings. Portion sizes greatly reduced. It's like a door shuts when I've had enough. Absolutely no craving for alcohol. Split a beer with my husband at dinner and couldn't finish it! I can't believe in 10 days I've become that person who grabs an apple on my way out instead of a bag of chips. And I can't finish the apple either!

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I have been on Belviq since July. 40 lbs lost and markers all better. Triglycerides went from 313 to 145. Sleep easily and only experienced mild headache in first two days. I otherwise feel normal except no cravings for sweets or alcohol. I should exercise but have not done my fair share. Insurance did not cover at first but saw savings and so now Aetna covers my script. I would have paid for it to add the years to my life.
I now have six friends on Belviq and have heard no complaints but see happy folks losing pounds with and without exercise.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: Everyone's different and some folks won't need the 20 mg a day. This medicine makes you feel like you never had an issue with cravings. They are gone, 100%,. After a while you forget what it was to have cravings and you may think the medicine isn't really doing anything, but try skipping it for a day or two and it will all come back to you! I still want to eat, just not bad stuff or big portions. I get hungry, but never so much so that I can't make good choices. That's the beauty of it. I think it will have to be made available for maintenance, maybe a lower dose, not sure. I wish more doctors knew about it. So many people are missing out on something that could really help them.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I have been taking Belviq for over 7 months now and I have lost 15.7% of my weight (250.8 Lbs to 211.4 Lbs). I am also a Type 2 Diabetic patient and my Humalog insulin intake is now reduced to 20 units a day from 100 units (80% intake reduction). My latest blood test on 01/23/2014 showed an 11.1% improvement in my Hemoglobin A1c 7.2% on 06/04/13 compared to 6.4% 01/23/14 which can be now labeled as pre-diabetic. Also, my Triglycerides showed a 24.8% improvement from 153 mg/dL to 115 mg/dL. I have no negative side effects whatsoever; all side effects have been positive and many thanks to Belviq for making this true after over 10 years being diagnosed with T2DM patient. My 80% reduction in insulin intake is nothing short of a miracle.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: If there is such a thing as a "Miracle Pill", Belviq is it. For the first time ever, I DON'T have insane cravings. I now know what it's like to feel full! This is the tool that goes with the exercise and eating good foods that is my key to success. Past efforts were always ruined by an epic hunger binges. Those are gone now. I still get hungry, but NOTHING like it was in the past.
Side effects: Dry mouth is real, but subsides after a couple of weeks to a degree. Dreams are initially *spectacularly* weird, but also subside.
My insurance doesn't cover it, which horrifies me since this is saving my life and their long-term costs, but I will do what it takes to afford the $210 per month I'm paying.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: Another update. Have been on Belviq for about 9 months now. I have lost about 25 pounds. Zero side effects. I am at a weight that I haven't seen in about 20 years. This is the first time I have been able to control what and how much I eat. It also seems to be much easier to burn off the fat with exercise.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I thought this was the diet pill that I had been waiting for since trying plenty of others and the first month it worked like a dream. Lost 10 pounds but the second month all I have lost so far is the $167.00 it cost to refill it.

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Obesity: Began having thyroid issues years ago which in turn caused a progressive weight gain. I do not have heart problems, diabetes (showing some tendencies) or any severe diseases but have become very obese. My endocrinologist suggested Belviq as a way to help me lose weight and regain some energy & mobility and to prevent any development of full blown diabetes. I began back in November and as of yesterday I have lost 19 pounds - this was through Thanksgiving & Christmas. The first two weeks I experienced some dizziness but it was mild. I also have experienced "very active" dreams nightly but not enough to prevent rest. The weight loss has been wonderful and my clothes are fitting more comfortably. It has been an answer to prayer!

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: 5 days now. Free 2 week trial - why not! The 1st 2 days horrible. My sleep is deeper, however, it is harder to wake up. I have noticed a cough, not bad, just annoying. I don't feel like my appetite is suppressed - I still eat 3 meals a day and sometimes a snack - however, I'm utilizing the "lose it" app - low cal diet (approx. 1200/day) and doesn't seem to hard. I have STILL lost 2.6 lbs in 5 days. Usually, with a low cal diet, you usually lose approx. 2lbs/week. I noticed I was voiding a lot - so wondering if it was water weight that was lost - however, I am drinking more fluids including water. I will continue to update! Have 50 lbs to lose. Will incorporate exercise next week!

Belviq (lorcaserin) for Weight Loss: I want to keep following up on my experience. I have now been on Belviq almost two months. This has been an amazing experience. I have lost 14 lbs, effortlessly. I don't have any side effects. I feel normal, except no cravings, no urge to overeat, no snacking, high satisfaction from eating normal portions of good food. Stopped biting my nails, it has to be the medicine. Each week, a couple more lbs. No food stress. I can't say enough about this medication! It's pharmaceutical willpower, best way I can describe it. I take only 1 a day, at 3:30 PM, works fine for me, script will last 2 months, saves me $$.
