For Birth Control "To all of those girls (I'm 20 but I'm confident it will work for women of other ages) who think they will never have a clear face and will forever be burdened with horrible pimples, burning acne creams, pills, scrubs etc. THIS birth control is for you! I have never done a review of anything but felt the need to let all the girls out there with bad acne that there IS help. I was on it for a month and then immediately saw results. My awful, deep, painful pimples started disappearing and within 2 months I had a perfectly clear face- no acne at all. I do have some red spots from past pimples and once in a while when I'm stressed I'll get a pimple or two but Tri Sprintec is my SAVIOR. I tried EVERYTHING for my acne and this worked."

For Birth Control "I was originally put on OrthoTricyclin Lo for my acne, but I couldn't afford it so I was switched to trisprintec. Like I said, I was originally put on this for acne, but then my boyfriend and I started having sex so I was using it for it's BC effects too. It has worked WONDERS. My acne has cleared up, I'm not pregnant (you need to take it regularly though! don't forget!), no mood swings, and my periods are shorter and lighter. However, I didn't experience the GOOD side effects till after 3 months in! I was moody, bloated, and nauseous, but my body needed to get used to it. I encourage you to try and stick it out for a bit if you just started and are feeling that way. keep up with it and maybe you'll like it too!"

For Birth Control "I love this brand of birth control! I started taking this brand about 3 1/2 years ago and it’s helped so much. During that time I did switch to a different brand to try something else and it was the worst decision, so I switched right back. My periods are so light and short, which is plus. It helped clear my skin up right away, but recently it’s been a little worse (I blame that on STRESS). Only major complaint about the pill is a lack of sex drive. Highly recommend this for of birth control."

For Birth Control "As far as birth control, it is an extremely effective contraceptive pill! Never got any severe side effects; some nausea the first week, but that's about it. Also, my periods are about the same flow wise, but very little cramping, about 4 days long instead of 5. I used to have awful skin, and now it is clear! The only thing that happened when I went on this medication that may be displeasing to others is that I gained about 30 pounds. My varying weight before was 106-110, and now I am between 130-136lbs."

For Acne "Initially I was scared of trying Tri-Sprintec just because of the terrible reviews I saw and my previous experiences with BC pills (nausea, depression, diarrhea). But this pill is awesome!! Apart from a few days of nausea and some initial breakouts, I had no mood swings, no weight gain. After the 2nd week my skin cleared up and my boobs got slightly bigger too!! All in all great birth control would 10/10 recommend"

For Birth Control "I was on this bc 2 & a half months before I decided to stop. This was not my first BC & previously I had no issues with bc. The first month was okay but around the 2nd month I started having terrible nausea at nighttime. To the point where I wasn't able to leave the house. I also had extremely decreased libido. Went from having sex daily to maybe once a week. No change in weight or appetite other than not wanting to eat because of the nausea. I have now been off of trisprintec for about a week & haven't had any nighttime nausea at all. Every bc effects everyone differently but this was not the one for me."

For Birth Control "I was a huge fan of Trinessa, I was on it for a year and a half with no issues and no side effects. I stopped taking it for about 6 months because I was no longer in a relationship and just wanted to see if anything changed (Weight, skin, mood) if I got off the pill. I decided to start taking it again just to keep my periods more regular and because I forgot how terrible my cramps are without birth control. I went to my pharmacy and got a refill and noticed they discontinued Trinessa and was given this Tri-Sprintec stuff instead. I’m almost at the end of my second week taking it and it is terrible, nothing like Trinessa. I’ve had weird stabbing pains in my left breast, I’m tired 24/7, my anxiety has been awful, I’ve had no appetite and my stomach has constantly been upset, and I’m so depressed that I barely want to get out of bed. If you were previously on Trinessa and liked it, do not get this. I’m going to have to try and find a better Trinessa equivalent now"

For Birth Control "I just want to point out that every girl experiences different things with all types of birth control. About the pill Tri-Sprintec I've been on it for over a year and it's been great. I'm 19 and I got on it because my fiance and I became sexually active. I never had a regular period and this fixed it right up. It also got rid of my acne. I actually lost weight and went from 115 to 107. I have not gotten pregnant and I don't have mood swings. I do get a sweet tooth and a salt tooth sometimes. Before I start my period my breasts get tender and I get emotional but once I begin bleeding both are gone. I do want to say that if you catch yourself craving more food just get some gum."

For Birth Control "I was cautious in the beginning to not read women's reviews of Tri Sprintec because I wanted to begin the experience with a fresh mind. I've only been on Tri Sprintec for two months (just beginning pack #3) and all though my doctor said it could take up to 3 packs to "adjust," I am not continuing with these synthetic hormones. I began taking this pill for a heavy period and cramps- neither were relieved. In fact, I was spotting for the week before my periods and a little after, too. I never get headaches and on this pill, I had a consistent dull throbbing pain in my head. I lost my appetite for weeks at the beginning. The worst side effect is my moods- I feel completely flat. As someone who typically is energized and excited (sometimes anxious too) about life, this pill was not for me. It stunted my personality. I threw my pack away today and I will continue seeking alternative solutions to painful periods because I'd rather have painful periods than feel this emotional numbness."

For Birth Control "I started taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen 20 years ago. A couple of years back, I was switched to TriNessa, with no issues. Now, both Ortho Tri-Cyclen and TriNessa are no longer being made, so the pharmacy switched me to Tri-Sprintec. I was told that Tri-Sprintec is the exact same formula as TriNessa, and I was very obviously lied to. This medication has caused a red, bumpy rash all over my face. It’s awful. I’ve had to stop taking it. I never had any problems at all with Ortho Tri-Cyclen or TriNessa. TriSprintec is horrible!"

For Acne "I started tri sprintec in November 2013. The first month, I was extremely moody and had anger problems. After three months, my acne cleared up. It's been over a year, and I haven't seen an spot since! This is great; I also am very active. Some days, my sex drive is not there, usually this happens the first week of the pack. So for birth control purposes, I would rate this as a 10, as well. I've never had any problems and never had any pregnancy scares. My boyfriend noticed that I went up a cup in size. I didn't gain any weight really, I'm just 98 lbs and the maximum, I would be 100 lbs. I would recommend it to anyone who has acne problems. But wait 3-4 months for results."

For Ovarian Cysts "I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 14 and I'm now 23. I've been on and off different forms of BC. Tri-Sprintec is the ONLY form of BC that has helped me. My periods are regulated, I have no acne, no unwanted facial hair, and it hasn't made me gain any kind of weight. The only negative affect I've experienced with Tri-Sprintec is an occasional headache. Other than that, it works great!"

For Birth Control "I switched from TriNessa to Tri-Sprintec around 6 months ago, due to the discontinuance of TriNessa. I had previously been on TriNessa for roughly 3 years with zero side effects. Once I switched to Tri-Sprintec, I couldn’t even tell the difference. These two contraceptives are the only ones I’ve ever been able to take. All others have had way too many unbearable side effects. My acne has improved. I suffer from headaches and Tri-Sprintec has not worsened them at all. I have no gastrointestinal side effects. No tenderness. I don’t notice a difference with my mood either. Menstrual cycle is regulated well with a light to moderate flow. I highly recommend."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth contol 4 days ago for contraceptive purposes, however I have had terrible cystic acne for the last 3 years of adulthood and its all cleared up. Not to even to mention, I have lost NINE pounds in 4 days and have had absolutely NO side effects. I have taken several types of birth controls and have had awful side effects. I am hoping to continue liking this pill! So far, so good!"

For Acne "I've been using this birth control for 3 months now and I'm starting my 4th month now. I started taking the pill to hopefully help with my acne and it seem to be working somewhat well until recently. When I started taking it, the acne I had improved a bit, but a few weeks ago my face basically blew up. I developed tons of it from just below my cheek bones, across my chin and along my jaw line but my forehead stays clear. I initially thought that it was just a breakout to signal that my period was starting (I normally get a little more just before, even on the pill) but it didn't go away. It's terrible and it's never been this bad before even off the pill. "

For Birth Control "Let me just start with the fact that if I am going to buy or use anything under the sun, it is more than likely that I have read every review ever written on the item before buying/using it, etc. Before going on the pill, I read reviews for at least 100 different brands/versions of the combo pill and mini-pill before narrowing it down to three options (all combo pills). I talked each option over with my OBGYN and we settled on Tri-Sprintec for a few reasons. A. Triphasic (mirrors natural hormone levels better) B. Estrogen/androgen/progestin ingredients/levels help with acne and C. First two weeks of pills are low dose. Pros: no mood swings, no weight gain except in boobs Cons: medium cramps, slight breakthrough bleeding. Overall: Love it!"

For Birth Control "I took Tri Sprintec for a year and though it was effective, the side effects were horrible. One being the fact that I naturally have a heavy and long 7 day period. There was no change in length nor flow of my cycle. The second and worst side effect would be that I was constantly nauseous even after the first three months. The pill changed my taste buds and made eating (something I Love) hell! "

For Birth Control "I took this pill for about 3 years! Stopped taking it due to migraines that developed a couple years in, my Dr thinks it was the dramatic hormone fluctuation throughout the packs due to it being a triphasic pill. She’s switching me to just “Sprintec” now (tried giving me Lo Loestrin FE before this for low hormones but spotted for months straight, irritable, frequent break outs that weren't normal for me.. couldn’t deal with it anymore). As for effectiveness, Tri Sprintec worked great! I never got pregnant, regular periods during placebo week. Had clear skin the whole time.. I never had acne issues before the pill. It did however make me gain about 10lbs or so throughout the years, but that could be due to lifestyle as well. lol"

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Sprintec for 2 months and it completely cleared my cystic acne. I had terrible, terrible acne for about 7 years before that and it completely scarred my cheeks. it even seemed to help with the scars a bit. I also lost a bit of weight on this pill. The only problem I had was that I would get a 2 day migraine on the first pack of pills. I switched and realized the headaches were a lot better than the other medicine so I am now switching back to Tri-Sprintec. This is by far the best birth control I've been on."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the best birth control I've been on. No weight gain at all. And it doesn't make it hard to lose weight. My boobs have gotten bigger. My skin is so clear I get compliments on it ( i used to have bad acne). And most importantly, no babies. I have sex with my SO without condoms so I know it works. I know exactly when my period will come every month. That's a relief because I used to get my period anywhere from every 2-9 months apart. Only side effects is occasional nausea on the first week of each pack. And random headaches but that's not often."

For Birth Control "I started this pill when I was 16 for my acne, it was the first pill I ever took. It wasn’t until about a year or two later that I started to realize all the side effects I hadn’t noticed. I was tired ALL the time... like sleep 10 hours at night wake up and take a five hour nap after doing light activity kind of tired because I was drained. I lost all sex drive and arousal. This really took a toll on me emotionally because I was 18 years old and dry as a desert. I was a moody miserable mess and couldn’t stop crying over literally anything. My acne slightly improved but it’s hard to tell if it’s from the pill or my dermatologist visits. This pill did the bare minimum, it kept me from getting pregnant. Stay away from Tri-Sprintec especially if you’re young."

For Acne "This stuff is like a wonder pill! My acne is clearing up, my boobs look fuller, didn't change my sex drive, my moods are the same and it fully protects me from having a baby. I couldn't be happier with this because I have tried lots of brands and wasn't on birthcontrol for about four years because I didn't want to go through the same process of hating the form of birth control I was using but my Dr knew exactly what to give me. Be honest with your Dr and always do your research:)"

For Acne "My gyno initially wrote a prescription refill for Ortho Tri-Cyclen (which I had been taking for years), but when I went to have the prescription refilled, the pharmacy did not have Ortho in stock. Therefore, they suggested the TriSprintec. Just days after starting the pack I experienced the WORST breakouts I have had as an adult, along with nausea, heart palpitations, and migraines. This is simply my experience with this pill - I know every female's body is different. "

For Acne "I've been taking Tri-Sprintec for two months now. I have had persistent mild acne (plus scarring :/) since middle school. (I'm in my twenties now). I must say -- this pill has improved my skin. It's not perfect, but I've noticed that my normally breakout-prone skin has cleared up a bit, so that's nice to see. And now the negative: my appetite has increased *immensely*. I feel like I'm starving all the time. It's like constant PMS. I'm hoping this will go away as my body acclimates to the pill... I've consequently gained about 10 pounds... BUT -- my boobs have gotten bigger as a result, and my bum as well, so perhaps it's not all bad..."
