Reviews for Tri-Sprintec to treat Ovarian Cysts

I started taking this pill at the start of this month, I'm now on week 4 and completely miserable. I noticed almost straight away that my moods, which aren't that great to begin with, but bearable, have worsened. I can't stand to be around myself because of the mood I'm in all the time. This started about 2 days after I started the pill and has only gotten worse as the month carried on. Now that I'm on the placebo week my period which is normally light/medium to medium flow is so incredibly heavy. My doctor prescribed me this for my PCOS to help regulate my periods till my husband gets over and we can start trying for a baby, but I think I'd much rather just deal with my periods being out of whack than this.

I have been on Tri-Sprintec for 8 years now (I'm 24 years old) to help regulate my irregular hormone levels due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). I have not had any side effects of the pill...well, maybe some mood swings, but nothing that wouldn't be caused by that time of the month already! I have gained a considerable amount of weight since I have been on this particular birth control (approximately 50 pounds), but that is the only real issue. I have been regular for the past 8 years, down to the exact day and almost time of the day so there are no surprises. Everyone's body reacts differently to medications, I'm pleased that this birth control did the job for me!
