"I've been on Sprintec since last August and it's been great! My breasts got larger and I haven't had any pregnancy scares. My period only lasts about three days and it's not heavy. I would recommend it."

"I have used this birth control for months now and I honestly like it. The first week I used it, it gave me really bad suicide thoughts and made me deeply depressed. I cried mostly every night and at work. But after that week I was totally fine except I started having really bad headaches. But every birth control comes with symptoms that only last a week or two and you're totally fine for the rest of the months. Depending if your body accepts it or not. I don't really have acne, I haven't gained weight, my boobs look fuller, and I haven't gotten pregnant yet. Also my period was heavy at the first month, but through the 2nd and 3rd month it gets lighter and lighter, as well with cramps. I love it. Just have a good diet, vitamins, & exercise,"

"Sprintec threw me into a deep depression and made my panic disorder flared up. It got so bad that I lost my job. I’m now back on antidepressants after successfully being off them for a year. While on this pill I started taking the Xanax that my dr prescribed two years ago and hadn't need to use! I almost never had to take my Xanax until I started using this pill. I only took the Sprintec for 2 1/2 months. I wanted to try to stick it out and go three months like some reviews suggested but I can’t afford taking the chance that it might not get better. If you have battled with depression or panic attacks in the past, I would avoid this birth control! Turned my life upside down"

"I have been taking this birth control for about three weeks. It has given me a bit more acne than I normally have, but the biggest thing that has been a problem for me is the nauseous feeling that comes with it. I take my pill every night at 9pm. Within an hour of doing so I always feel like I could throw up. I haven't done that so far, but the feeling is so bad it makes me gag. I still feel nauseous the next day well into 4 or 5pm. It seems to die off around then and then shows back up after I've taken the next pill. I have also experienced breast soreness, not too bad, but definitely enough to take notice of. Rather than the nausea feeling, it seems to be an okay birth control, so far I'm not pregnant."

"I have been on Sprintec for almost 3 months now. It's the only pill I've ever taken. My periods are much less painful (no cramps) and shorter (a few days). I have noticed that I cry a lot more over the silliest things, which I think is because of this pill. I have also noticed breast tenderness most days and they seem to be growing a little. I have not gained any weight, but then again I am relatively thin and have never been prone to weight gain."

"It's great for birthcontrol (trust me, I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend several times a week, sometimes several times a day). HOWEVER... I have gained so much weight and I've seen my sexual desire go completely absent from time to time. My main concern is the weight gain. About 15-20 lbs. in a year that I've been using them, the pounds snuck up on me around 6mo. ago or so..."

"Been on this Sprintec pill on-and-off for about a year for secondary amenorrhea (period loss). Taking in an attempt to balance out missing hormones. Trying to lose weight right now and despite eating at what I calculate to be a slight caloric deficit, been steadily gaining weight, ~.3 pounds a day. So distressing to see the number on the scale go up every single day despite doing everything "right". Already gained 5 pounds in the past 2-ish months due to binge eating but suspect that a chunk of that weight gain was from the birth control. Praying to GOD that it's only water retention. Also weight gain isn't in "right places" (though don't realy want to gain weight in butt or chest either) IT'S LITERALLY ALL IN MY STOMACH AND THIGHS??? Why? Look like a whale with a watermelon-ass stomach and elephant-ass thighs cries Other stuff: -Have acne, believe the pill worsens -Don't think I get mood swings/depression -Periods on the pill lighter than "real" periods back when I got periods"

"I had been on another birth control pill for a very long time and switched to Sprintec because of insurance. After starting Sprintec I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 weeks before my regular period was scheduled to begin. I have been having breakthrough bleeding (which started similar to a very light period and is now down to some spotting) for about 2 weeks now. "

"I have been on this birth control for about 3 or 4 years and love it! It is my only form of birth control and I haven't gotten pregnant yet. I was on a different pill for three months and it gave me horrible cramps and headaches and once I switched back to Sprintec they went away."

"This is my first birth control I have ever taken. I am 28. I am on it due to severe Endometriosis. I am on my 4th pack in the first week in. My periods went from having severe bleeding with large clots, and mucus for 8 days, to now having lighter period with few clots for 5-6 days. I noticed the first packet I was nauseous. I don't have much of an appetite, and I haven't gained weight in fact it helped the severe bloating I had. My hormones before were horrible I was severely depressed, and cried every night. Now I don't cry and am more happy. I noticed my breasts are tender everyday though more so when I have my period. I still get a little moody on my period, but it is manageable. It also helped my pelvic pain a bit from the Endometriosis"

"I have been taking Sprintec for about two years. The first day of my period is still slightly painful, but the pill is extremely effective. My boyfriend finishes inside of me every time we have sex for almost a year now and I have yet to get pregnant."

"Sprintec is the absolute worst. I started it the day after my period in early January and vomited nonstop. I stopped it and then returned to taking it mid cycle which messed with my hormones and made my anxiety and depression skyrocket. I have felt so lethargic, tired, nauseous, and in a daze that I have stopped. It makes life awful due to the extreme amount of hormones in it."

"Started my 3rd pack a week ago. It’s not perfect but I’m fine with it so far. I was worried about the depression/anxiety/mood swings side affect because I’ve had depression before & still have anxiety. Luckily my mood has not changed at all. I have experienced 3-4 days of spotting, it mostly happened within the 1st month. The worst thing is it made my boobs really sore. I think it lasted for at least half the time I was taking the first pack. And a few less days with the 2nd pack. So far nothing for this 3rd month. I’m hoping my periods will get shorter but that hasn't happened yet. My last period (2nd one I’ve had on the pill so far) seemed to be a little lighter which was nice. I get bad back pain on my period for the first 4 days, and this time I only had back pain for 1 day! I also got the pill to help with my acne but it not helping. I’m gonna keep waiting to see if it helps but I’m starting to lose hope. So there’s pros & cons but worth a try!"

"I started taking Sprintec in February of 2018. About a month into taking this I started having severe anxiety. This led to panic attacks and having to go to therapy. I also have gained 30 pounds since starting Sprintec. My boobs have gotten so much bigger. I'm at a loss. I was prescribed this on NURX and I'm ready to just ditch it to see if i can lose some of this weight. I can't seem to lose it no matter what i do."

"I'm 20 years old. I've been taking Sprintec for a year and a half and have no complaints. It was my first birth control med. Lighter and shorter periods, no pregnancies, bigger breasts and no beginning side effects for me. Insurance now covers for it!"

"Gives me pretty clear skin, other than a pimple or two on my forehead during my period. Slightly larger breasts, shorter and lighter periods, and I'm not pregnant. Very happy with this pill, and it's my first time on BC so I suppose I got lucky. This was great for me, but everyone's body is different so I don't think reviews for birth control pills are super smart in actuality..."

"I was put on this birth control for polycystic ovarian syndrome. I am 27 5'4" and 115lbs. My entire life has been mostly period free. No pregnancy either :\.. I am only on my second week of the pills but side effects I've experienced so far include: blurred vision, very swollen breasts (32Naturally... My cleavage is spilling out of my cups now) , sore nipples, mild nausea with hunger, strange dreams, blah attitude the first few days, and indigestion. I have never been on bc b4 so this is gonna be interesting. Will update after awhile."

"I just want to start this by saying not everyone's bodies are the same and different pills can react differently. I've been on Sprintec for two and half years now, starting when I was a teenager and I love it. I used to have extremely painful cramps during my period and 7-8 day long periods. Since starting Sprintec my periods are much lighter, much shorter, and way less painful! My overall acne has improved, I do breakout around my period but I think that is normal. I did not gain weight from this pill. You only gain weight if you give in to cravings that changes in hormones can bring. Just be aware of what you are eating and how much. I did not notice any change in my cravings however. I love this pill and it has worked great"

"I've been on this since 2015. My doctor recommended it over my previous Ortho Tri Cyclen since it is the generic form which I was on for about 3 years before. I have had severe acne flareups but I rarely get any pimples nowadays. Also very effective birth control. I take it everyday around 9 am when I wake so its easy to remember."

"I have been using sprintec for almost a year now, my acne has cleared up but not fully gone. My periods are shorter from 7 days a week to 4-5 and the bleeding is a lot less with no cramps!! I didn’t really get any bad side effects in the first few months of taking it like everyone else says & never had a pregnancy scare. Would definitely recommend!"

""Studies show no connection between the pill and weight gain..." I went over 15 years on a steady weight, steady diet, and activity level. Started this pill and within 4 yrs 25lbs gained. Yes this pill caused me to gain weight. PROS: Reduced period cramps/pain Period on a set schedule Lighter shorter flow Clear glowing skin (in combination with CeraVe and womens vitamin) Calmer mood, no mood swings Less anxiety No babies CONS: No sex drive Weight gain Occasional feeling of morning sickness Recurring bacterial vaginosis (while being sexually inactive)"

"I LOVE Sprintec! This is my 5th month being on it now. At first, I was a bit moody and went back and forth from having a large to nearly no appetite. My breast were also more tender, but that has passed. My sex drive also had it's "mood swings" as well and that went away as well. The only thing that has continued is mild acne. I haven't gained any weight since on this (which was my main concern) but everyone will be different. My best friend is also on Sprintec and she gained 20 pounds so it really is a case by case thing. Also, I have had migraines my whole life and they are GONE. I have tried everything and this has truly saved my life! So if this is an issue, consider it!"

"DO NOT TAKE Sprintec !!! It was too many hormones for me. I remember days were I wouldn’t even get out of bed because of how much pain my body was in... I would take it at 10am everyday and by 11:30am I was angry , my head would spin/I was dizzy and my vision was so bad some days it was impossible to drive. Sprintec is terrible . I had headaches so bad my eye lids hurt (sharp head pains) , impaired vision, the nausea was debilitating, my breast were swollen for 4 months. & it made me angry and combative for no reason. DON'T TAKE IT It almost ruined my relationship and my family members didn’t want to be near me. I would pick fights and I was depressed for months . Crying everyday, suicidal thoughts, picking fights with people... and I really thought I needed help . I even went as far as to reaching out to therapist. But all along it was that birth control.. It’s the worst contraceptive pill. Now, I am one Camila and so far it isn’t bad."

"I just finished my third pack of pills. Although I was skeptical about putting hormones into my body on a daily basis, this medication has worked out for me. I started it mainly because I was tired of the constant worries I have as i am very sexually active. Since starting the medication I have received the benefits of lighter/shorter/less painful periods, larger breasts, clearer skin, and no baby scares! I have also had the added benefit of slower facial hair growth (yay for less tweezing and waxing!). For myself, the negatives that come with this drug are the feelings of a slower metabolism/bloating (although I haven't gained weight), and huge decrease in my sex drive which I actually prefer because now I play it coy in dating ;)"

"I love sprintec! I've been on it for about 6 months and have had NO side effects. No weight gain-- in fact, I lost weight. No headaches, nothing. Regulates me very well and is effective birth control, when taken correctly."
