For Birth Control "I've been on this pill over 2 years now, and I love it. This summer and last summer I had some random cystic acne though I am not sure it is related to the pill because other times my skin is perfectly clear. No weight change. Only problem is I haven't had a period in the 2 years I've taken this, not even spotting. My doctor says not to worry about it but I am considering switching because of it."

For Birth Control "I switched to this birth control from Yaz because my periods (although controlled) were still 7-8 days long and heavy. When I switched to this pill I gained about 8 lbs, was intensely moody, and noticed my hair and skin became extremely oily. I was on it for 4 months and it only got worse. I had breakthrough bleeding the entire time. The second month I was on it I bled for 2 weeks straight. It was absolutely miserable. I know birth control affects every person differently, but this was AWFUL for me."

For Birth Control "I came here and read the reviews after my doctor put me on Lo. I'm 27 years old with PCOS and this is my first time being on any type of birth control. When I read the reviews, I saw a lot of comments about women getting really bad anxiety from taking Lo. I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, so it made me nervous. I wanted to see for myself because I know I can always stop taking it. The first day I took it, I was fine for the first 2 hours, but shortly after my heart started to race and I felt anxious. My initial thought was that the reviews were right, but I noticed I didn't get the reaction until after I drank soda. I tested this theory and did some research to find that women on birth control are more sensitive to caffeine. The next day I took my birth control without caffeine and didn't have the same experience. I'm leaving this review for the next woman who reads the reviews and feels the same way I did."

For Birth Control "I started on Sprintec and had a horrible experience. I was having 2-3 periods a month and my whole body itched. So I switched to Lo Lo per my Dr. I’m halfway through the first pack and yes there have been some side effects. My sex drive has not changed at all. No acne. No migraines thus far. No breakthrough bleeding. However there have been like two days where I was majorly depressed but that was while I was on my period so could have been hormone related. As of now I haven’t had any more depression. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. People who review it badly, well it just wasn’t for them. Just like Sprintec wasn’t for me at all. BC is a waiting game of finding what’s right and so far this one is definitely right for me!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this to control my periods and hopefully get some relief. I had taken this years ago , for a few months and I didn’t have any issues.... this time however was the opposite . I had so much break through bleeding, legit getting my periods every 2 weeks type of thing. I pushed through taking it 3 months , on my fourth pack now and I had my period on Jan 10 for 5 days, I got it again this past Friday Jan 24. I had enough , it obviously isn’t working for me. My breast got so tender and swollen, cramps didn’t get any relief , I’m super sensitive, I’m moody, and the bleeding alone was so uncomfortable . It wasn’t worth taking it. I’m trying a new birth control now , I had to call my doctor and ask for a change . I really don’t recommend. If it helps I’m 25 and 170lbs No major health issues other than seasonal allergies"

For Birth Control "Would not recommend! This is my first birth control & I’ve been on it for 3 months. I take the pill everyday without skipping any days & I have non stop break through bleeding. I started this pill to prevent pregnancy but honestly what’s the point if I can even have sex because I’m constantly bleeding. I’m also having terrible mood swings. I cry almost everyday & have been feeling very depressed."

For Birth Control "I've never experienced mood swings because of birth control, until Lo Loestrin Fe. However, my situation may not apply to most people, but I still wanted to share. I have a Nexplanon implant as my main birth control and have two periods a month - one every other week. So my doctor suggested I take a very low dose of pill birth control to stabilize my periods. I took Lo Loestrin Fe for about a month and got so incredibly anxious about everything, I would get random panic attacks without knowing what the source of them was and felt very unlike myself. I decided to stop taking Lo Loestrin Fe since I prefer having two periods a month to having those feelings and thoughts. After just 5 days of not taking Lo Loestrin Fe, I don't have these random anxious feelings and thoughts, I feel like myself again. That felt like a rollercoaster ride."

For Birth Control "At 40 years old my period was heavy and my iron was crashing. I had never taken BC before because I already struggle with weight. After months of dealing with a heavy period, I decided it was time. I explained my weight gain and acne fears (yes I breakout easily) to her and she told me that Lolo FE would be the best for me. I’m on month four and my skin is horrible. I’ve had to have laser treatments just to calm the inflammation down & I started having debilitating anxiety. This stuff is poison. I am angry at the gyn for even prescribing it!"

For Birth Control "This pill is awesome. I've taken it for about 2 and 1/2 years now. No side effects when I first started either. I haven't had a period since but I'm okay with that. I highly recommend this pill to anyone looking for a low dose birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 4 months and I really like it. The first month I had some breakthrough bleeding but that has gone away. Now I have no periods at all, which I don't mind. No weight gain or bloating. I have had some acne, but it is minimal. It is worth the $45/month I am paying."

For Birth Control "I am 26 years old and very sexually active with my partner. My doctor started my on this pill because of breakthrough bleeding I was having in between periods. I only tried this pill for 2.5 months and did not like it. I had breakthrough bleeding more often than before, extreme fatigue at the start of the 3rd month. I experienced extreme fatigue/dizziness and normal period like symptoms; heavy bleeding, painful cramping and bloating when I wasn't supposed to be having a period. Also, sometime during the 2nd pack of pills I had a horrible acne outbreak that I couldn't figure out. It was very frustrating that I was having so many in-between periods when that was the reason I started taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Triphasil and had migraines for years. I was put on this by the doctor in March of 2011 and the first month I felt a complete change, no migraines. In month 3 I had a normal period 4 days. In month 4 I have no period but I have light cramps that's okay because they were worse on the other one. But I don't know if I should freak out about not having one or throw a Party."

For Birth Control "I'm not too sure how to rate it, so aim going with a 7. I am taking it for HRT and severe moods with PMS. It has helped my moods immensely! I am so pleased with this. However, I have acne now and I never have acne so I know it’s from this. I am on my second month. I am also finding it hard to lose weight, but this could be from drinking alcohol. I’m not fully sure. I will stick with it though and I'm really hoping the acne and weight issues go away."

For Birth Control "PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING LO LOESTRIN FE! My dermatologist had me on Yaz for 8 months for my acne. It was amazing until I got migraines. After that, gynecologist switched me to Lo Loestrin Fe. Within two weeks I started getting acne all over my body. I got my period before I finished all 28 pills, I got cramps, I became extremely irritable and my period was heavy. I do not recommend this birth control brand. I don’t use birth control to prevent pregnancy so I can’t speak for that. However, if you’re on birth control to regulate your cycle and help your acne, talk to your doctor about going on a different brand of birth control pills."

For Birth Control "I wanted to share my experience because when I researched Lo Lo I found negative/horrible reviews. I was taken off my BC when my new obgyn realized I had been on it for over 16 years straight. I took a year off of BC & my periods were getting so bad that we began to think I had endo. I was throwing up, crying, back aches, migraines.... So, I had to try something. I gave in and tried Lo Lo. The first month I bled/spotted the last 3 wks of the pack, had cramps & I was so bloated - very bloated. However, by the second pack I was thinning out again, I did not have period & I did not have any cramps. I'm now on my third pack & things are going normal. I don't like not having a period, I hope I get one after another month on the pill. I hear I won't though. Please do not be scared to try the pill. Everyone is different. You have to give it 3 months to see if it is right for you. I wanted to quit at 1 month with bloating & pain...but I gave it a longer try & I am glad I did."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL! I started Lo Loestrin Fe when I was 17 due to extremely random periods. The first year on the pill was great, however around year 2 it started going down hill. I started having extreme bad burning and irritation down there and I felt like I constantly had a yeast infection. After a year of constant OBGYN visits I was diagnosed with vulvodynia. Vulvodynia is nerve pain and damage on your vulva! I was miserable! On top of all of this I started having severe pain in my side and learned my gallbladder was only functioning at 11% and I had to get my gallbladder removed at only 19 years old. Turns out Lo Lo gave me the side effects both of these issues; vulvodynia and gallbladder disease. 6 months after stopping this pill my vulvodynia was GONE! However I still don’t have a gallbladder thanks to this horrible birth control! DO NOT TAKE THIS"

For Birth Control "I got on this pill to regulate my periods because I had mild PCOS. However, I will be switching pill brands since on this medication I have had cramps but no period, despite taking the pill regularly and at the same time. Apparently this is common for this pill, but I prefer having a period. I also realized I gained around 10-15 pounds after getting on this pill and getting the weight off is difficult. I grew fatter facially and in my stomach. I also noticed an increase of acne not only on my face but also on my back which has never been a problem before. I look forward to switching my pill in the next few days and hope for better results!"

For Birth Control "This is the best birth control, I had no side effects. Only switching due to high out of pocket cost. Experienced NO weight gain, acne, mood swings, etc. If you can afford the out of pocket cost for this TIER 3 medication then I definitely recommend it."

For Birth Control "Look, you're going to read all of these "DON'T TAKE THIS PILL" reviews and the truth of the matter is you don't know until you try it. Everyone's body is different and will react differently to medication. So, don't let these bad reviews scare you away. Try it, if you don't like it, you can change it. Now to my review. I got this pill as a trial to see if I liked it. I ended up loving it. I had very few side effects. I think the most I had was headache and nausea. Oh and about 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding. But of course, my insurance doesn't cover it... if it did, I wouldn't be switching. The only crap thing about it is the price if it's not covered by insurance which is $171."

For Birth Control "lots of ppl seem to hate on lolo bc theyve tried it for a few weeks and base their judgement off of that.. with birth control you need to take it for a few months before making any judgement on it as it gets used to your body and see how your body handles it... ive seen ppl complaining about the same stuff ive gone through in the beginning too i was told to take my first pill on the sunday of my period.. i then got my period for 2 weeks.. after the first month i have NOT gotten a period since, no blood, no cramps, no headache, no wacky acne.. yes its safe bc i have doctors in the fam who even recommended lolo.. EVERY! BODY! IS! DIFF! giving this drug a few weeks to do its thing & expecting such high results is setting yourself up for failure.. let it actually get used to your body for a few months.. if it still doesnt work after a few months, switch it.. if you stuck through a bit of your hormones changing and the pill actually getting used to your body and now it works, then :) !"

For Birth Control "Taking a multivitamin, probiotic pill, garlic pill, and making sure to still eat greens , low sugar and drinking lots of water when taking this pill or any birth control pill for that matter is essential to help keep all the nasty side effects away or at bay for some. "

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I have been on, and after hearing all the birth control horror stories that friends/family had, I'm happy to say that my experience with this pill so far has been a good one! The first month or two I did experience some acne and occasional nausea, as well as going from a B to C cup (a welcome change.) However none of the symptoms have been any worse than symptoms of a period. My period lightened soon after beginning the pill packs and I stopped getting my period alltogether about 6 months after starting the pills, which (my Obgyn told me early on) was to be expected. My insurance also completely covers this pill, so that's definitely a plus!"

For Birth Control "I've only been on it for two weeks, but so far I LOVE IT! It has helped clear up my acne, and I've noticed that I've started losing weight in what seems like all the right places! The only down fall is I've been spotting this whole time, which is a pain since I just recently started a new relationship! I'm sure that will change over time. If things change I will definitely let you know, but so far all I can say is HOORAH LO LOESTRIN FE!!"

For Birth Control "Well after reading the reviews I'm not so worried about the fact that I haven't had my period for 2 months. I've definitely been freaking out and took 5 pregnancy tests in the past 2 months (even though I've only had sex twice, I just had to be sure, lol.) It would have been nice if my doctor would have mentioned that this was one of the side effects instead of me finding it out on my own, after 2 months of a normal cycle. She put me on this pill because I was experiencing daily discharge with the generic Tri-cyclen. That has ceased to be a problem since starting this particular kind of pill. I have not had any negative side effects, other than not having my period (sure it's no picnic but it gives me peace of mind every month)."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Sprintec, and didn't realize how depressed Sprintec made me feel until I switched to Lo Loestrin Fe. This one is sooo much better for me! I don't notice any side effects other than a slightly decreased sex drive. I no longer get a period, which is a plus. Not much to say other than it treats me well."
