For Birth Control "I recently been on the pill for about a week now and so far I am okay . I started taking the pill the first day of my period which was 9/16/16 and it was supposed to end two days ago 9/22/16 and I am still experiencing bleeding . It is light bleeding more like spotting so I am guessing this is breakthrough bleeding but I was curious as to how long will this last."

For Birth Control "Been on BC since I was 16 because of ovarian cysts. Never had problems with BC. For 10+ years, enjoyed the controlled, predictable periods, and of course zero problems with cysts, and that was that. I loved being on BC (Junel, Microgestin). Took Blisovi for a few months, got TWO periods a month. Full-blown bleeding EVERY OTHER WEEK. Stuck it out for a few months, tried to let my body adjust, finally stopped for 6 months to let my period normalize. Recently started Blisovi back up because of ovarian inflammation until I can get back to the Dr to change BC. Two weeks on it and the problems have started again already. Constant spotting. Extreme lethargy. Irritability. Anxiety. Possible hives reaction connection. Inflammation during ovulation"

For Birth Control "I have been on a variety of pills for years and loved them all, wish they would stop discontinuing them (and my insurance would just cover all pills, not just some). But I was removed from Gildess b/c it was discontinued, and put on Blisovi. I did two months of it and the only side effect, which was too awful, was being constipated. There must be more iron in it than the others. I stopped taking it b/c I always felt pain in my stomach and could never go to the bathroom properly...for two months! I am screwed now b/c my insurance won't cover anything else, and everything else is being recalled. I really am beyond frustrated and not sure what to do anymore."

For Birth Control "I have PCOS I thought I was the only one experiencing issues with this pill. Since Lomedia was discontinued I've been using this and it's absolutely horrible. The first 2 months I used it , it was great. My PCOS is very difficult to deal with seeing how I'm always on my menstrual and w/o birth control it will not stop , so technically I rely on this for regularity in my life but its been causing havoc. My menstrual comes every other week , I'm always bloated , my mood swings are unbearable that my friendships and relationships are being affected by it my work performance is horrible as well seeing how I'm always tired and irritable and my sex life, forget about it. I get turned off when with just a touch on my wrist , this PILL is a NO"

For Birth Control "I recently posted a review on this pill 3 months ago when I fist started and thought it was great. I WAS WRONG! I had to update because I could not in good conscience let anyone think this pill is anything but terrible. My fist month went great, no side effects at all. The second month I noticed my stomach was not right. Turns out this pill destroys the good bacteria in your gut. Probiotics are a must! I noticed I started to gain a little weight and developed slight eczema on my face which still comes and goes 2 months later. Beware taking this pill."

For Birth Control "I went on this birth control to help regulate my periods, instead I do not have a period at all. I’ve been on it for about a year and haven’t gotten it once, no complaints but makes me question if that’a safe. My skin was clear before I went on it, and now my chin is ruined from acne and scarring, I have to use so many products to help reduce the appearance of the scars. I didn’t gain any weight but my boobs did grow."

For Birth Control "I previously used Nuvaring, which I loved, but had to stop taking. After 5 months of no birth control, I started using Blisovi. I bled for 3 weeks solid, then had 2 periods/month for the 1st 3 months. Just started my 6th month, & only have one very light period/month (don't need to use tampons). But I am going off of this, as my hormones get worse the longer I'm on it. I have still been experiencing PMS symptoms 2x/month, even if no bleeding mid-cycle. During my last cycle I was completely crazy, + also started having daily headaches. I'm now in week two of the pack, on the verge of tears 24/7, crying over nothing, picking fights with my lovely bf. I'm NOT myself. Also made me gain noticeable weight - boobs got bigger but so did other areas"

For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience on this birth control pill. I thought I was losing my mind, it completely exacerbated my anxiety and depression to the point where I had paranoia. I was seeking a psychiatrist to be medicated because of how terrible I felt. I didn't realize this pill was causing all of the above issues until my pharmacist switched me over to Mylan, a generic form of ortho tri cyclen. After being on Mylan for a month, I feel like myself and realized it was blisovi 24 fe that made me feel psychotic."

For Birth Control "Started in Jan. At first I loved it. Short, predictable period and my breasts got bigger. Developed severe nausea and started gaining weight. Took a pregnancy test because that was the only logical explanation right? I wasn't pregnant so I decreased my daily calories even more, increased my workouts, and still kept gaining weight. I also had trouble staying asleep through the night. And now really dry patches on my face. I hate that I have to stop because I loved the short periods and the $0 copay but the side effects are too much to handle."

For Birth Control "I hAve switched to this medication because they discontinued micronor which was perfect for me. When I started taking blistovi I had headaches and any birthcontrol for me never makes cramps go away except for micronor. So I still had cramps. A little bit of weight gain. I was super emotional and moody. Regular 5 to 6 day periods. After taking these pills for about 4 months, the side effects got better. I barely get headaches. My period is lighter than it has ever been. 1 to 3 days. The only time I'm emotional is on my placebo week. And I am not pregnant :) overall it's a tolerable pill."

For Birth Control "I was put on this pill for my low estrogen and it did the job but not without some unfortunate side effects. The first week I started taking it, my blood sugar would drop suddenly almost every day and I would almost pass out if I didn't sit down and eat something immediately. I have never had issues with blood sugar before in my life, and I have noticed it only happens when I am taking this pill. I also have horrible anxiety attacks and frequent heart palpitations, which has also never happened to me before. Regarding weight, I have found that I lost several pounds instead of gained (maybe the anxiety?). There are times I feel hungry no matter how much I eat, and other times I feel like I'm going to explode despite having eaten nothing at all. All in all, the pill did what it said it would and more...maybe another prescription is in order."

For Birth Control "I have never written an online review but I felt the need! I was previously on lo lolestrin for years and just got blisovi in the mail claiming it is the "same pill but looks different". No way! Automatically I experienced headaches everyday, tiredness to where I can't even move, mood swings, and I feel hungover everyday! I usually eat healthy and work out but the first week I started taking the pill, I could barely move out of my bed. I eat less but crave greasy unhealthy foods which is not my usual diet whatsoever. I feel as if I'm retaining water. I also have cried every day the past week over nothing!!!!! So angry about this pill and that they can just switch pills without consulting ! also experience constant thirst. Stay away!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe to Blisovi 24 Fe about a year ago and thank goodness I did. In the short time I was on Lo Loestrin Fe I had mood swings, exhaustion, depression, and I just didn’t feel like myself. When I switched to Blisovi 24 Fe all of those emotional problems went away and I feel like myself again. Also my periods are a ton lighter than before, I used to have about 6 day periods with heavy cramping and now I have light periods with no cramping that only last about 2 days. I haven’t had any issues with acne. I have gained about 10 pounds in the year that I’ve been on the pill so that would be my only complaint. Overall I feel healthy on this bc."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS! This past year has been the worst year ever!!! All of a sudden I have the craziest symptoms that don’t go away no matter what I do. Severe migraines ALL THE TIME!!!!!!! I gained 10+ pounds!!! I have never had an issue with weight in my life, I workout 6 x a week, eat extremely healthy and the scale is just going up!! It’s effected my mental health so much because it makes you feel like you’re going crazy. I’m extremely tired no matter how much sleep I get . My anxiety has been out of control. I’m sad, tired. Irritable all the time for no reason. My stomach always hurts. My periods are so irregular, I won’t get a period for a couple months, then I’ll spot and bleed randomly all the time. My vision has all of a sudden gotten bad?? I’ve never had eye problems in my life. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to connect these symptoms to this birth control!!! STAY FAR AWAY!!!"

For Birth Control "Well this birth control hasn't worked well for me considering I'm pregnant. I was taking it at the same time of day EVERY day without missing any. No antibiotics or anything to interfere. I also experienced spotting for many months before it failed and I have never spotted before. My advice is if you think your birth control isn't working well talk to your doctor and get on something else."

For Birth Control "When I was 18 I got put on Lomedia 24, but after a year on it I noticed I had a constant tired feeling. My doctor then switched me to Blisovi 24, which I've been on for over 2 years. I did notice some weight gain, but it was minimal and I (luckily) was able to get it off. I loved this brand, never had any spotting and my periods were always very light and short, and I never had any babies. The only real downfall was the week before my period, without fail, I would have really bad anxiety and be extremely emotional - way more than I normally was on Lomedia. Other than that, I would highly recommend Blisovi 24."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed BLISOVI to reduce my bleeding and also to shrink the size of the fibroid that’s in my uterus. I’ve taken it 3 months now; and it hasn’t done anything for me but to make my periods last a lot longer (2 weeks) and also cause INSOMNIA, RESTLESS LEGS, weigh gain, foot pain, need I say more? DOCTORS: please stop prescribing it to patients and stop playing with their lives. Thank goodness today was the last day I took this drug; and believe me it was like a poison to my body ( in my opinion). No wonder it’s free, it was completely paid for by my insurance. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT TAKE THIS. I would rate it a “0” if it was an option."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this AT ALL! I switched off of Kelnor to Blisovi because I was having long, heavy periods. I would gladly take the periods back over this. Now I have horrible acne on my shoulders, back and chin (which I've never had), constant breast pain, occasional random cramping, I bled the entire first month and I NEVER have any energy! In the months prior to Blisovi, I had worked so hard to lose around 10-12 lbs... 6 weeks into Blisovi and I've gained 8 lbs of it back. I never wake up feeling like myself. I would definitely recommend Kelnor or Gildess over this one."

For Birth Control "I have never left a review on a medication but I need other women to be warned! I was on this two months and it was the WORST two months. I gained 13 pounds, my acne flared up like never before, I was constantly nauseous (throwing up almost everyday), breakthrough bleeding if you are even 10 minutes late taking the pill but the absolute worst side effect was how heightened my anxiety and depression became. Panic attacks almost every day and they were so severe and worst than they have ever been. Crying LITERALLY all the time about everything. Did not have any desire to leave my house and when I did I was so anxious it wasn't even worth it. Even if you aren't sure how your body will react to this pill, I would NOT chance it."

For Birth Control "This is my 3rd month on BC but recently was switched to blistovi and am in the 3rd week of my first pack. I've started experiencing spotting today, which lead me to this website. I am terrified of everyone's own experiences and even only being 3 weeks in I can relate a lot! Before I started I was a very active person who loved going to the gym and working out, but lately I have not had the energy or enthusiasm to get up and go. I've found myself sleeping a lot during the day and feeling exhausted even after 10+ hours of sleep. I really didn't think anything of it but now it makes total sense! I just picked up my next months pack but I'm immediately calling my doctor to change to a new one!"

For Birth Control "This pill is the WORST. I just started my third month and have so much stress and anxiety. The pill has helped with my periods but the toll it has put on my body is not worth it. I had started a new job around the time I was put on the pill & associated the stress to my job and school, I was WRONG. My face is always breaking out, except when I'm on my period (I'm assuming is because I'm on the placebo pill those 4 days). I'm waiting for my third month checkup to allow my body to adjust to the pill but I will come off this as soon as I meet with my Doctor. I was naive and didn't do any research on the pill. After reading these reviews, I regret not looking into it and saving myself this emotional distress."

For Birth Control "I've been on Lomedia for over 2 years - no side effects, was very happy with Lomedia. Suddenly got switched to Blisovi 24 Fe because Lomedia was on Bacorder. Blisovi 24 Fe is the worst pill ever. I've been dizzy every day - my mood is terrible - can't stop complaining about stupid things. Got breakouts on my chin, around my nose, my skin got really oily. I've been taking this pill for 3 weeks now. This is my 1st and last month on ever taking this terrible pill. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!"
