For Birth Control "I was on Lo Lo Estrin FE for many years, and began having irregular periods for quite some time so I was given Blisovi as a replacement. Two months in, I still feel pretty bloated and my mood swings are crazy. One minute, I'm fine, the next someone is in the line of fire. I feel much more sluggish, a bit less motivated, and my fuse has been so short, I can barely tolerate anyone's company. I have been experiencing a pretty low sex drive. I can't stand this pill anymore. I've been told I am more "touchy" to things, seem more irritable, (even my therapist told me he's noticed my irritability increased). I know not everyone's experience will be the same, and I am sure someone may have a great experience...unfortunately, mine was not."

For Birth Control "I had a very positive experience on Blisovi. I took it for approximately 3 years, and just switched over to the Nexplanon implant because I wanted something a little more fool-proof as far as birth control goes. Blisovi helped manage my PMS symptoms significantly and I experienced no negative mental health or physical side effects from taking it. My periods were very light and lasted 4 days."

For Birth Control "I was on Mylan prior to this and I had nothing but actual positive side effect (weird huh?) anyways out of the blue I go and pick up my prescription to find out it was switched to Blisovi™ 24 Fe & at first everything was fine .. until like a month after where I noticed I had really bad fatigue, then came the hair loss, then towards the end started breaking out ... To the point where I couldn’t take it anymore, I would wake up tired and stay tired all day long and not to mention the horrible feeling on constantly shedding clumps of hair. Please do not take this ladies!"

For Birth Control "I was skeptical because of all of the negative side effects but I have not experienced any . This is the best birth control I’ve tried thus far. It stopped the abnormal spotting and heavy/painful periods. It doesn’t make me overly emotional or moody."

For Birth Control "So after being on this pill for a year and a half I see all of these horrible comments about it but honestly I think it’s amazing, acne was gone periods were lighter and less painful (mind you I had severe cramps that made it impossible to move, I’m sure lots of females know exactly what I mean) and it fixed all of these problems for me."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this pill when Gildess Fe got recalled. I have gained weight and have noticed irritability and tiredness. I have repeatedly asked my pharmacy if they have gildess back to no avail. I think I need to try something else regardless, this pill is not working for me."

For Birth Control "Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I've been on this pill for 4 weeks now. The worst 4 weeks of my life. Days after I started to take it there is is a zit party on my forehead ! I have had extreme anxiety at least 3 times a week. My mood swings are uncontrollable and sex drive is at an all time low. I would not recommend this pill to anyone. Going from microgestin to blisovi due to insurance not covering it is so not worth it. I'll pay for the pill rather then have these awful side effects."

For Birth Control "I have never had a problem with this BC! Just normal regulated period, my Cysts are gone which was the reason for taking the medication. Just normal every day life, it is like I don't even take it! But I do every day!"

For Birth Control "I was extremely nervous to start taking Blisovi after reading all of the reviews on here. I am 18 and it was my first time taking birth control pills, but I have been taking it for many months and have had ZERO negative side effects. My skin is more clear now than it has ever been, my weight has not changed, no headaches, etc. I also have some school related anxiety and was worried because a lot of people said it worsened their anxiety but I have not experienced this."

For Birth Control "I took lamed 24 fe and then got switched to this. it seems the same except I've had a few headaches but that could be due to being sick the past two weeks. I've gained a few pounds but that could be because I went from a 32C to now a 30DDD....my skin is about the same maybe a little less breakouts nothing bad at all"

For Birth Control "Was on Junel Fe and it worked according to my needs...which was to have a lighter more manageable PERIOD or no PERIOD at all. After taking Junel for a year, all was well. Upon my renewal, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription to be told that Junel Fe had been recalled or discontinued, but Blisovi was the same medication. IT IS NOT! Where my cycle had been light to non existent, never experienced cramping even before being on birth control, I have now been on Blisovi since the end of October 2016 and my cycle has gone haywire! Sudden unexpected menstruation, including severe cramping is not the answer! Had me over here thinking about getting on Depo, but I feel that is not the answer either. I am contacting my doctor immediately!"

For Birth Control "So it worked, meaning I didn’t get pregnant. But, it messed me up big time. Let me tell you, it ruined my sex drive & anytime my boyfriend and I had sex it would feel like sandpaper was being rubbed down there. I suffer from anxiety, but my panic attacks were HORRIBLE on this birth control. I couldn’t keep weight on for the life of me. I see a lot of people talk about weight gain but I dropped 13 pounds from being on this stuff. It must’ve been the anxiety or not having an appetite. Lastly, I had recurring BV 3 times within the 4 1/2 months as a side effect when I was on Blisovi. I stopped taking it a few weeks ago because I kept thinking I had so much wrong with me and was willing to try whatever to see. My mom told me to stop taking the birth control and ever since... I’ve been feeling so much better. My anxiety has calmed down a lot. My sex life is back and better. The BV hasn’t returned and I’ve had an actual appetite since. Birth control sucks, and I hated my experience with Blisovi."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control Blisovi 24 Fe for about 4 months , and it works great at regulating my periods. I now have a steady cycle and no cramps or PMS at all, but it literally ruined the last couple months of my life by ruining with my mental health. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety before going on the pill, and it was 100x magnified by this birth control, I cry over every little thing and am so depressed and anxious that I cant do my work or go to school. Switching off ASAP"

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control pill for the last 6 months and I am completely miserable. It was originally prescribed as a generic for Loloestrin, but that simply cannot be the case. I have been chronically bloated, emotional, spotting, on top of which I am also experiencing a regular to heavy period. When I was on Lolo I had no negative side effects and it effectively minimized my monthly period. Ultimately, I feel really misinformed by the PA who prescribed this as a generic."

For Birth Control "I took this for a little over a year before stopping it. I was on Minastrin (insurance stopped covering). Got switched to Gildess & was fine until they discontinued it. Then came this horrible monster. The pharmacy ensured me it was the same thing, but I didn't feel this awful on the other 2. For months I wondered why my mood was so awful. I would snap at everything & I would cry for no reason. I started feeling horribly depressed. The one way this pill prevented me from getting pregnant was by completely killing my libido. I started taking it to get my hormonal acne under control, but I think I'd rather deal with the acne than these side effects."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi 24 Fe for about 4 months now and it’s honestly been fine for me. I’ve read bad reviews and have been scared, but as any birth control, you have to be willing to wait out the first few months and let your body adjust to the pill. For me, my periods are light, and come on the second brown pill and lasts maybe 3 days. In the first 2 months and sometimes now I do get upset easier, but it’s nothing crazy. This pill keeps my skin clear for the most part except when I’m taking the brown pills I do experience some pimples. As far as contraception, it’s been good to me. I do feel like I’m bloated sometimes, but with any pill your body weight may fluctuate. But I have no serious problems with this pill! Allow your body 3-6 months to adjust before freaking out."

For Birth Control "Unfortunately, this is the WORST OF THE WORST. I have struggled with severe menstrual cramps my whole life and was very apprehensive when I was switched from Junel to Blisovi. I was correct to be apprehensive. Blisovi increased my period cramps, caused daily nausea that sometimes led to vomiting, horrendous mood swings, and caused a weight gain more rapid than ever before. I am currently trying to fix my body after use of this and would like to warn all those who are potentially using it or thinking about using it. I am a young female who would like to warn other young females about the detrimental effects this pill has on someone both physically and mentally. 0/10. STEER CLEAR!"

For Birth Control "I was on a different birth control but switched because I didn't like how bloated I felt. I have been on this pill for about a year and just recently started tying two and two together. I've never really had bad acne in my life and this pill has caused me to have severe breakouts around my chin and mouth, and I'm talking like several huge whiteheads at once. I am always bloated and eat a plant based diet. I'm going off this pill starting today. I'd rather just not have sex and avoid getting pregnant that way if its going to make my skin this bad and make me hate my self image."

For Birth Control "I have to say I was a little hesitant to take this pill because of the reviews. I've never taken birth control before and needed to for my fibroids. I was actually prescribed another pill but they no longer make it so I was given Blisovi. After reading the reviews I noticed the side effects that many women were experiencing on the pill were the symptoms I was experiencing regularly with my fibroids. Once I took the pill everything balanced out and I felt like a sane person again. I love this pill and I haven't had any issues with it. I've been taking this pill since September and it is now late December."

For Birth Control "I have been on this BC for a little less than a month and I absolutely HATE it! I have gained 6 pounds for no reason, I have been spotting the entire time, I have broken out (I never get acne usually), and I am super irritable. I don’t recommend this BC at all, I will be requesting to change ASAP"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control! I have been on it for about 2 and a half months and for the first month I had light bleeding/ spotting almost every day. I don't weigh myself very often so I'm not sure if I have gained weight, but my appetite has increased a ton and I am eating really unhealthily. I feel very tired in the mornings even when I wake up at 11AM or later and I feel very lazy and just want to lay around all day. This pill has greatly increased my anxiety which I have normally, and I am a lot more emotional (I cry at almost anything now!). I feel very irritable all the time, and the littlest things can set me off now (I am usually a calm person) I really hate this birth control and wish I had read reviews before I was put on it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this for three weeks and nauseous the whole time. I haven’t stopped bleeding since I started it. I have PCOS and wanted something to help with cysts. I was on Femcon for years, but they took me off when I had an odd pap. I’ve since had a child and been off BC for years. This stuff just makes me feel awful. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for a month and a half. Until reading the reviews I did not realize why I have been so angry, moody, and depressed. I did not even think about that as a side effect. I have had a period for two weeks, I am soo mad. I started the pill to have sex, not be able to. I also leave for a cruise in a few days. I am sooo mad."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this as my regular birth control (Meliane) was not available here. I completed my first month on Blisovi and it has been horrible. It made me very irritable and paranoid (I'm usually laid back to indifferent) and it has killed all sex drive I had. I've had more than usual hair loss with dry skin and scalp. It also caused vaginal dryness for me and made sex uncomfortable. I've had bad constipation despite upping my intake of fiber to counter things and when it was time for my period, I didn't bleed but had severe cramps and backaches- basically all my PMS symptoms without bleeding which made me worried about being pregnant (I checked and am not). The good thing is that it is completely covered by my insurance."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control pill for 10-11 months. It caused me to have periods during week 2 of the pills, vaginal dryness!, a lot of hair loss & breakage, really bad embarrassing acne, weight gain, bloating, constant infections, PMS symptoms, etc. I kept going to my OBGYN thinking I had cancer or something was broken. She told me to keep taking them. No way. I quit taking them 2 weeks ago and I feel better already. I'm just afraid it might've done some fertility damage. Time to find a new obgyn and stay off of birth control pills because the side effects aren't worth it! Just will track my ovulation & avoid sex on those days. It's sad obgyns tell you to stay on pills with all these negative side effects, they don't truly care."
