For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for about 2 & 1/2 years now! I love it! My periods have lighten tremendously and Chateal has cut the amount of time that I'm on my period in half! Everyone's body reacts different but for me, the only side effects have been positive!!"

For Birth Control "I'm on my second month with Chateal. Honestly I'm will stop using it for good. I gained 12 pounds in less than two months. I go every single day to the gym. I eat healthy healthy healthy!! My mood changed. I can't see my boyfriend, because I feel like he is disgusting. I can't remember the last time I had sex with him. I have nausea, can't sleep, my knees are weak, my stomach hurts so bad. The good thing about it is that my periods are better. Every woman is different"

For Birth Control "My experience with my first month of using Chateal has been eventful. I feel a little less stress in the getting not getting pregnant aspect of taking a birth control however the sideffects have been testing. I'm almost always feeling nauseous or bloaty and I can tell I've gained a lot of weight. I have had crazy mood swings which has caused some issues between my boyfriend and me. I was out to eat with some friends and I literally wanted to simultaneously punch a wall laugh and cry all at once. I feel my depression is growing stronger but I am taking preemptive strikes to keeping that controlled. Yes i would suggest this pill. However Chateal may not be for everyone."

For Birth Control "I've been on chateal for around 6 months now, I was originally taking lzya which wasn't working out for me with abnormal bleeding, but since taking chateal I've had no issues. I think it's very effective as a birth control, no weight gain, I don't think it's effected my mood at all either, sex drive is fine, and Its even pretty good with controlling acne, I'm pretty happy with it and like it a lot more than what I was taking before"

For Birth Control "I've been taken Chateal for 7 months now. It's been effective the whole time I've been on it but it's been a horrible experience overall. It did not help with my period in any way. My periods are still the same length, they're heavier and my cramps are worse. Acne never played a part in this as a side effect since I've never had a problem with acne. Taking Chateal literally made me feel insane. I have never in my life felt so sad and angry and depressed for no reason. I used to only cry getting close to my period and now I cry all the time the whole month about anything. I constantly felt depressed without a way out because I couldn't figure out why I felt this way. No one should have to feel this way."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for 3 years now. It's the only one I have been on but I have never had bad side effects. My periods last about 4 days, 2 days of heavyish bleeding and 2 days of spotting. No pregnancy yet so it is definitely doing its job."

For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal for almost 2 months now. I went to Planned Parenthood because I was having irregular bleeding as well as really bad acne which I never had before. They gave me a year supply of Chateal and as soon as I went home and saw the bad reviews I was really hesitant to start them. First few weeks I felt a little nauseous but nothing unbearable, a few headaches but they weren't totally painful and my acne cleared up. I was really happy that it seemed to agree with my body until I started to notice I was losing some hair. Now 2 months into it I feel like I've lost quite a lot of hair, there's no bald patches or anything but I used to have really thick hair and now my hair has really thinned out and strands are always coming out constantly. It's making me really insecure about something I never had a prob with. As much as I'd love to stay on Chateal I've made an appointment with my new dr to hopefully find something else."

For Birth Control "First time taking birth control these pills were the worst. First week was fine than I started noticing my hair was getting thinner and started spotting brown dis charge for almost 3 weeks and started getting redder. I stopped taking them for 2 days and started bleeding heavy. The pills had me dizzy and really bad mood swings!"

For Birth Control "I used chateal for almost 3 years. Worked really well for me until recently when I had spotting for like 7 weeks. Then I switched to tarina. Still would recommend chateal it worked great for me for so long."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Chateal for 2 years and have had no negative side effects whatsoever, however the strange thing is it has been the only birth control (and I tried about six) that hasn’t made me horribly nauseous. The only side effect I have experienced is not weight gain, but specifically temporary breast enlargement while on the pill. When I got off it temporarily it went back to normal. My doctor said that it was indeed a side effect of the birth control convincing my body that I was already pregnant. Aside from that I have had no side effects whatsoever. I know everyone’s body is different, but if there are any girls out there who have been made nauseous with every other brand, then try Chateal this may help you like it had helped me! I refuse to go use any other kind of birth control now."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Chateal for 3 plus years, and so far I’ve been happy with it. It sucks for those who had the really bad side effects withChateal. I mean we all have different body types and we’re gonna experience it differently. So far, from what I experienced was the constant headaches I get before I get my period and the cramping. I’ve never had cramps before I started using birth control but I can live with the minor problems. I had regular periods that last up for 4-7 days, never had irregular spotting/periods or tenderness on my breasts and my emotions weren’t affected. Besides that, it’s been so effective for me, and it has been doing it’s job so I’m going to continue with Chateal.(:"

For Birth Control "I started taking Chateal about a month and a half ago. The first month was fine and I thought I found a BC with no side effects. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for the second month. Around my 5th week I started to get bad headaches and wasn’t sure where it was coming from until I read the reviews. My other side effect was irregular bleeding. My period ended between 4-5 days and then about 4 days after it ended I started bleeding again. It wasn’t heavy and it wasn’t deep red however it did have a “scent” that isn’t normal for me or my periods. I’m trying not to stop because of course, I don’t want to get pregnant but my side effects are embarrassing and uncomfortable. Seeing now that a lot of women lost their sex drive is really making me what to stop this medication tomorrow. Hopefully your experience is different."

For Birth Control "The first month of taking it, it had my emotions all out of whack. There was definitely a decrease in my sex drive. I didn't see a difference in my weight or acne. Those stayed about the same. My period cramps are much worse. But overall the pill did prevent me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "I was on chateal for about two years until I moved to a different state that didn't carry it. The best thing about was it cleared my skin completely! I wouldn't even wash my face for days and I still never got a pimple (I'm definitely prone to acne). However it did lower my sex drive and make me extremely apathetic. The week before my period I always got aggravated easily too which was odd cause I'm a very mellow person. No weight gain though! The first month it did make me a little emotional but after that I really didn't have any emotions (which was the problem). However I really do miss this medication. Now I constantly have acne and the pill I'm on now makes me spot. Definitely recommend chateal though."

For Birth Control "I was initially prescribed Chateal in August of 2016 and began experiencing intense mood swings after severally months’ use. I am a very emotionally stable person normally, so after journaling the effects and doing some research I decided that this was not normal and stopped taking it. I felt better right away. After starting a new relationship, I started taking Chateal again in October of 2017 hoping that this time it would be different...it wasn’t. About two months in I began feeling depressed and experiencing deep-in-the-pit-of-my-stomach anxiety. I would go from a happy mood to a depressed mood and back again in the matter of minutes, even waking up in the middle of the night with anxiety. I experienced terrible insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. After reading reviews I am happy to know that I am not as crazy as I feel and that other people have dealt with the same things, so hopefully this review can help someone else!"

For Birth Control "Everything seemed fine, except for being super moody and crying a lot. I've had gas bloating / vomiting twice, keeping me up all night, and that never used to happen. Also a decreased libido. Honestly not having sex is better than this."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for almost 1 month and starting my next month tomorrow. Not very many side effects except from tiredness and a few headaches here and there. The headaches are coming more frequent now but I am not sure as to if the birth control is causing this. But Chateal has worked great for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost a year and I've never had any issue except mild nausea before my period. My periods use to be very heavy and last two weeks and the PMS would take a serious toll on me. On this my periods are lighter and last 4-5 days. My PMS is significantly lessened. I still get teary eyed pretty easily before my period but now I'm not a raging PMS machine."

For Birth Control "I've only been taking this birth control for about 4 days, which yes, I know is little, but I don't think I can stand another day! I feel nauseous on it and threw up a few times and I slept until 1:30pm today (so I had about 13 hours of sleep, if not more, and I would've kept sleeping if my brother didn't wake me up) I still feel exhausted and can barely walk around without wanting to sit. Hopefully you won't get this experience but I really don't think I can continue on this pill, waiting it out is not worth it for me."

"I've been on Chateal for about a year and a half. I agree with many reviews that it's very effective for its intended purpose, but the side effects are awful. I've experienced extreme moodiness, irritability and depression, panic attacks, and what I believe was a burst ovarian cyst. I've also been experiencing acne on my chest and back which I've never had before. A few months ago I ended up in the ER after having a severe panic attack and throwing up in the middle of the night. I can't say that the Chateal was directly responsible for the burst cyst, but I'm 30 years old and have been using BC since the age of 16 -- I've never experience any of these conditions prior to using Chateal, save for your standard PMSing."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Chateal for almost 6 months and it's been pretty great. I've had no complications or side effects. I take it within a two hour frame every morning and my period comes on schedule every month. Other birth control I've taken gave me breakthrough bleeding for 2+ weeks but Chateal keeps me regular."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 2 years. My previous prescription made me VERY nauseous, so I was prescribed a less strong pill. Right away it made me very emotional (I am not an emotional person at all but that didn't bother me as much). A few months ago I realized how moody I was acting; I was sad & angry for no reason. So I decided to take a break & request a new prescription, however, I procrastinated for too long & needed the extra protection so I decided to give it another try. It's been maybe 3 months & I don't feel moody, but I get nauseous badly once a week for about 15 minutes & then it goes away but I do think it has a lot to do with starting over. It is very reliable. Contraceptive pills are different for everyone."

For Birth Control "I am going into the second week of taking birth control. I was super stoked for it not going to lie but after all these symptoms |'m having, I'm not so sure anymore. I know everyones body is different but if you are anywhere as near as sensitive as I am, I wouldn't recommend taking it. Within the first week I had woken up with extreme nausea and eventually vomited. With that occurrence I had automatically thought the pill didn't work and I was pregnant, but I did take a test and so far so good. Anyways, I am now starting to get period type symptoms of tender breasts and cramps which those are easy for me to look passed and not worry to much about. However, not too long ago I woke up and felt almost empty, sad and depressed"

For Birth Control "I switched my birth control to chateal reluctantly because my previous birth control was discontinued. I didn't like the switch at all, after two months on it I went to have my pill switched again and my doctor said to give it more time, nothing ever changed. I gained a full cup size in my breast as well as about 10 pounds total. I also had extreme headaches, breast pain, and was virtually emotionless. I just had my pill switched and am starting on Microgestin Fe at the end of the month."
