For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Enbrel has worked well for me for about 4 years and it has been covered partly by my husband's former employer and Pfizer. It seems, however, that when I turn 65, it will barely be covered on Medicare and supplemental insurance due to Congress approving a renewal of the patent on Enbrel. Also, due to Medicare being a government program, it won't be covered. "

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been on Plaquenil, methotrexate and several other medicines since I was diagnosed with RA 10 years ago. Nothing seemed to work, had trouble just brushing teeth, brushing hair and the smallest task. Then 3 months ago they put me on Enbrel and boy what a big difference it made. Now I have my life back."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I had one injection of Enbrel in the Dr. office two weeks ago it did such a great job on my knees there was no pain, no swelling I felt normal for a change, I could not believe this drug could do so well. I will finally be starting my weekly injections tomorrow. Boy am I ready! The side effects scare me a little now that I have read these reviews."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have used Enbrel for more than a year to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have had no adverse reactions to the injections and have been pain-free/symptom-free since the 3rd day after my first injection. I have used both the pre-filled syringe and the pen, both are fairly easy to use, but the pen is by far the easiest between the two."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in my twenties and was on methotrexate and indomethicine as well as occasional prednisone. While the drug regime helped, my arthritis was continuing to damage joints and was really debilitating. Going on Enbrel changed everything and gave me a new lease on life. No symptoms and I'm very active. I feel like methotrexate took me to 60% and Enbrel did the rest-I have to continue to take both to get the results."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I have taken Enbrel for 17 years - since I was 30. I would not be a functioning individual without it. I have not had psoriasis since I started taking it, either. I know this sounds too good to be true, but it is my miracle drug. I've never had any side effects or problems. I am currently on the Sureclick but have also had to fill syringe needle and inject. If you let medicine warm alittle, it doesn't burn as bad."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "After negative side effects from another "biologic", I went on Enbrel. It did help the joints, quite a bit, reducing joint pain and increasing mobility. I was able to walk up and down stairs, and started walking from 1 to 5 miles a week! ( A near miracle after 45 years with Psoriatic arthritis!!) Most of the symptoms of Transverse myelitis, which started on another biologic and was much more severe on that previous drug went away, with the exception of Bladder Incontinence.... made a life outside the home very difficult. That side effect stopped within 3 days of taking Enbrel, and has not returned in the past 2 years."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Rheumatoid Arthritis for 22 years. Misdiagnosis when disease presented, 6 years of damage until correct diagnosis. Damage not able to be reversed. Taking ENBREL. I have tried REMICADE, was in trials for ORENCIA, but ENBREL seems to be the one that works better for me."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "Experienced 95% relief 24 hours after my 1st injection. I just had my 3rd injection and feel amazing. Before Enbrel I was taking 18 extra strength Ibuprofen daily and was still in pain at times throughout the day. Enbrel given me back my life. Every morning when I wake up and have no excruciating stiffness and pain I almost cry. It's almost like I'm dreaming and its just a matter of time before the pain returns. It hasn't. Thank You Enliven."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I am so lucky I live in Denmark where it is free to get all kinds of medicines. Enbrel has been working quite well actually for the past 2.5 year, but recently my doctor recommend me to get out of it, and I started by pushing it with 3 days, and the 3 days made my knees swell up. Now I am back with the 7 days interval, but it wont really help as much as before. So, I guess it was too soon to get out of using it."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Well it's been an hour and a half since my first injection by my doctor in my arm and I feel like a giddy space cadet mentally compared to the insomniatic, sleepless, suicidally depressed wreck that I've been for decades. I started off with misdiagnosed JRA called "growing pains" by my inept pediatrician when i was a child and after it never cleared up I went to see a specialist at age 15 then diagnosed with JRA. It went into a remission in my late teens early twenties then crept back up badly about 6 years ago. I tried every anti-inflammatory in the book and methotrexate with no success only prednisone helped but made me a wee bit too violently insane at times. Basically it's working good so far. 10 stars for enbrel."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I started it with the Enbrel sure click 50mg. I've taken Enbrel for 2 months. My finger pain seems to be going away. My doctor recently changed it to the mini sure click. I find the injection to be painful. I didn't have this issue with the regular sure click. I do like the lights and the sounds that lets you know it's complete. I will continue talking it."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I'm 75 year's old and I've had RA since 1995 and was on almost every medicine you can think of for RA. My morning stiffness lasted almost all day and was getting worse. My doctor finally started me on Enbrel and Methotrexate almost two years ago, and I could almost jump out of bed in the morning and I've been good ever since. However, the high cost ($1,500 per month) will eventually use all of my retirement savings and then if I don't find a way to pay for it, I'll have to give it up and go back to my old miserable self."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I started enbrel over 20 years ago for psoriatic arthritis. It worked in 3 weeks and and in 6 week my psoriasis was diminished. No one knew that would happen. Well now 20 years later the enbrel is not working. It was a miracle through this time. Before I couldn’t walk, get out of bed, turn a doorknob. I started Cosentyx 5 weeks ago and the arthritis is at full force and psoriasis is creeping back. What do I do? I was so lucky enbrel lasted so long. Thinking Humira is along the same line? Any thoughts?"

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I have been using Enbrel for almost 5 years now, but before I started on it I was almost pushed into disability because I was not able to do my job anymore, now I am about to turn 48 and I am thinking about taking up golf again, which was the first thing that I had to give up. Enbrel gave me a few more years to enjoy my life and not have to think about using a walker or worse."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "OMGosh, my friends...Enbrel is my lifesaver! I have been 6'2" tall since the 8th grade, then...I think I stopped growing, (up, anyway-lol:) I am 57yrs old now, diagnosed with AS some years ago, and I am now...maybe...4'2", if I'm lucky. If it weren't for Enbrel, I would be in a wheelchair, no doubt in my mind! If it weren't for my stubbornness, (lol:) I'd already be in one. I could go on and on...and on-lol:) Just...PLEASE...IF you are suffering from arthritis of ANY kind, please ask your Dr about Enbrel, or...some other biologic that might be the perfect med for you. Hey, it's worth a shot! HA:) (pun not intentional, but...pretty good) Have to keep smilin'. One day at a time! Good luck my friends:)"

For Plaque Psoriasis "Enbrel worked fantastic with near total clearing of all psoriasis for about the first 3 years, then acceptable but less complete clearing for the next 3, and finally stopped working altogether in year 7. Self-injecting with the pre-filled syringes was easy and overall I was pleased with the medicine and no side effects."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I have been on Enbrel for Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis for over 8 yrs. In the beginning my Psoriasis was the worst but after having to be off Enbrel for 7-8 months in order to take immunizations my Psoriatic arthritis had gotten the best of me. I have been back on Enbrel now for 5 weeks of one injection of 50mg. I totally feel everything is going back to where I was. The Psoriasis is almost gone (which is great considering I was 90% covered within two months of stopping) but the arthritis is taking just a little longer. This medicine saved my life years ago. I am almost 48 and have suffered with this since I was 13."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I loved it. I had taken it for almost ten years. It got the arthritis under control almost 100%, and the psoriasis was almost gone but, after ten years, the doctors tell me I have built up an immunity to it. So we try some new medicines."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "My son is 7 and has been taking Enbrel for a year and a half along with methotrexate. He is doing remarkably! Before the medication he literally had to crawl because the pain was so bad in his ankles. After only one shot of Enbrel he is able to run and play like a normal child! Unbelievable! Thank goodness for Enbrel!"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Enbrel is the first medication I've taken that's actually helped. After taking it for about 10 months with really good results, I had an Achilles tendon repair that was infected with MRSA during rehab. I had to take intravenous antibiotic for 8 weeks and had to go off Enbrel for several months. The pain from the rheumatoid arthtitis came back 10 fold. I'm back on Enbrel now but I find that it wears off by the 5th day, and by the time the week is over I'm in misery with swollen joints. I don't know what I'd do without it - just wish it could work all week."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Took Enbrel with methotrexate for four years and it worked great. Developed optic neuritis in right eye and discontinued it. Optic neuritis is inflamation of the optic nerve and is one of the neurological disorder side effects of the drug. Changed diet to eliminate red meat and poultry and sugar and take natural supplements."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Had severe rheumatoid arthritis for 6 years - pain uncontrolled by DMARDs. Prescribed Enbrel and my health improved 85%. Sadly, after using Enbrel successfully for 5 1/2 years, it stopped being as effective. Since tried Humira - didn't work. Now trying Roactemra infusions - some improvement, but lots of side effects. Really miss the quality of life that I had when Enbrel worked for me!"

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Works extremely well. The day after I give myself the injection, I feel like I have a cold (common side effects) ... Two days after, I'm fine. I get sick easily when inconsiderate people ride public transportation sick and don't take care about coughing. Grocery shopping is another hazard as sick people run into the store "for just a second" and head home to be sick. Buying masks for the hazard areas is a good idea. I always ask at Drs offices for a few and have never been refuses. Even with the one day colds and the hazard if getting sick frequently, IT'S MORE THAN WORTH TAKING DUE TO BENEFITS. (I wouldn't even regret taking it if I got the most severe rare side effect alone or in combination with methotrexate)"

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I was diagnosed with PA and I have no psoriatic symptoms except on the heels of my feet. I suffer from arthritic pain in my right hand (thumb mostly) and both big toes. I was prescribed Embrel and after taking the first injection (which caused extreme nausea) I was perplexed that my symptoms worsened. Now I was experiencing pain on my left hand and other places I hadn’t noticed pain before. I thought maybe I have to have a few doses before I see any relief from symptoms, so I administered a second injection and although I didn’t experience the nausea of my previous experience, I noticed no relief and a worsening of pain again, continuing to affect areas that were never painful previously. I have decided not to continue treatment."
